—————
the dim glow of streetlamps barely cut through the mist clinging to the empty sidewalk as you walked home, your heels clicking sharply against the cracked pavement.
the night air hung heavy with the scent of rain-soaked asphalt and distant exhaust, your jacket pulled tight against the chill that crept under your collar.
then, without warning, a strong arm yanked you backward into the shadows of a narrow alley.
some cold steel pressed firm against your throat. the blade bit just enough to still your breath, its edge a razor promise against your skin.
you didn't flinch, to your own surprise.
instead, a defiant spark lit in your chest, your chin lifting despite the knife's threat.
"really? a knife in the dark?" you muttered, voice laced with that familiar edge of attitude.
your pulse steady even as the stranger's body crowded close behind you.
black hair fell across his forehead, framing sharp eyes that studied you with an intensity that burned hotter than the steel at your neck.
he didn't press harder, not yet. something in your unyielding stare seemed to catch him off guard, his grip on the handle tightening as a slow, possessive heat flickered across his features.
like he'd just found something he had no intention of letting go. a prey perhaps?
the tension coiled tighter in the confined space, his free hand gripping your waist to hold you still while the blade remained a constant, dangerous caress along your pulse.
"tch, you should be begging by now," he said, low and rough, the words vibrating against your back.
but your ego wouldn't bend; you met his gaze over your shoulder with a smirk that dared him to try harder, refusing to show even a hint of fear.
his eyes darkened in response, roaming over you with a claim that felt inevitable, the air between you crackling with the unspoken shift from threat to something far more consuming.
you moved on instinct, swinging your leg up hard toward his stomach in a sharp kick meant to break the hold.
god, this was pathetic.
his hand snapped down fast, catching your thigh mid-swing and pinning it against his hip with bruising force.
the knife vanished from your throat as if it had never been there, clattering somewhere into the shadows, and he held you like that for a beat.
his broad chest heaving against your back, grip shifting from restraint to something warmer, more deliberate.
no words of warning followed, no fresh press of steel. Instead, his fingers loosened just enough for you to step free.
though his palm lingered at your waist, thumb stroking slow circles through your jacket.
"come with me, yeah?" he said, voice low and rough but stripped of menace, the possessive heat in his gaze pulling at you like gravity.
curiosity burned hotter than any fear, twisting low in your belly, and you followed without a fight. your heels clicking again as he led you out of the alley and down the block to a nondescript building, the door to his apartment clicking shut behind you with a finality that made your pulse race.
inside, the space was sparse and dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of leather and something darker, like rain on metal.
he turned you to face him, hands sliding under your jacket to peel it from your shoulders, the fabric whispering to the floor as his eyes raked over the thin excuse-of-a-dress clinging to your breasts.
your confidence flared again, a smirk tugging your lips as you arched a brow, but he answered it by crowding you back against the wall, his knee nudging your thighs apart while his mouth hovered at your ear.
"you wanted this the second you didn't beg for your life," he murmured, one hand cupping your tit through the fabric.
his thumb circling your hardening nipple until you gasped, the sensation shooting straight between your legs.
he worked your dress up and off next, exposing your skin to the cool air that pebbled your nipples into tight peaks.
then, dropped to his knees with a hungry sound, yanking your panties down in one rough tug.
your cunt was already slick, the scent of your arousal heavy as he spread your folds with slender fingers, exposing the wet pink flesh to his stare.
"look at this pretty cunt dripping for me," he growled, dragging a knuckle through your slit to gather the wetness before pushing two fingers deep inside.
he was curling them against that spongy spot that made your knees buckle.
youu moaned loud and unashamed, hips rocking down onto the intrusion, the stretch burning so good as he pumped them slow and deliberate. his thumb rubbing tight circles over your swollen clit with every thrust.
you should be embarrassed; this was a criminal infront of you.
no, a murder even.
your juices coated his hand, dripping down his wrist in shiny trails while he added a third finger, scissoring them open to work your pussy wider.
the obscene wet sounds filling the room with each thrust. he leaned in to lap at your clit with a flat tongue, sucking the bud between his lips as his fingers pounded harder, knuckles bumping your entrance on every stroke.
"that's it, take it like a good girl," he rasped against your folds, the vibration making you clench around him, thighs trembling as fresh arousal gushed out to soak his chin and the front of his shirt.
your hands tangled in his black hair, pulling him closer while your bratty mouth spilled filthy encouragement, urging him deeper, harder, until the coil in your gut wound so tight you thought you'd snap.
your walls fluttered and clenched hard around his thrusting fingers as the orgasm crashed through you without mercy.
your cunt pulsing and squirting fresh waves of slick down his wrist while he sucked your clit harder, tongue flicking relentlessly to draw out every shuddering spasm.
a smirk still tugged at your lips even as your thighs shook, and you gasped out a defiant taunt between moans, "that's all you got, criminal? thought you'd ruin me, not just make me come like some cheap hoe"
niki's eyes flashed with dark possession at your words, his free hand yanking your wrists together above your head and pinning them against the wall with bruising strength.
the shift from pleasure to restraint sending a thrill of consented fear racing down your spine.
he rose slowly to his full height, towering over you with that black hair falling into his intense gaze.
one hand still working your dripping pussy in slow, deliberate pumps while the other fished a length of rough rope from his pocket. "
"someone needs to tame you, huh?" he growled, voice thick with hunger, pressing the flat of the reclaimed knife.
reminding you of the edge as he bound your wrists tight above you, the knots digging into your skin in a way that made your pulse hammer with excited dread.
you could have pulled away, but instead you arched into it, whispering your permission hot against his ear.
he nodded in response, as he secured the rope to the headboard, leaving you stretched and vulnerable.
your legs were still spread wide around his fingers that now scissored deeper into your soaked cunt.
the blade traced a teasing path down from your throat to the swell of your tits, circling one nipple without breaking skin, the metallic chill mixing with the heat of his breath as he leaned in to bite at your lower lip.
"dumb bitch, pushing me like this," he rasped, pulling his fingers free with a wet sound only to slap your pussy lightly.
the sting of it, making you gasp and drip more, before he shoved his own pants down to free his thick, veined cock, already leaking precum that he smeared against your folds.
he rubbed the head up and down your slit, teasing your entrance without pushing in, the fear play heightening every sensation as the knife returned to your collarbone.
he was pressing it just enough to make you whimper in that delicious mix of thrill and surrender.
your hips bucked forward instinctively, begging without words, but he held back, taming your brattiness with a firm hand gripping your bound wrists tighter.
"beg properly, or i stop," he demanded.
"fuck me, please just do it."
that’s was enough for him, your words fulfill their job.
satisfied, he slammed into you in one brutal thrust, his cock burying to the hilt in your tight heat.
the stretch burning so intensely you cried out, walls clenching around his girth as he started pounding relentlessly, hips snapping with bruising force that made your bound body jolt against the wall.
the knife clattered away again as both his hands gripped your ass, lifting you slightly to change the angle, pounding deeper so the head of his dick kissed your cervix with every stroke.
your juices squelching obscenely around him and coating his balls.
"take it, yeah? this pussy's mine now," he snarled against your neck, teeth grazing the spot where the blade had been.
fear and lust twisting together as he fucked you harder, one hand sliding up to pinch your nipple while the other thumbed your clit in rough circles.
your bratty side flared once more, a moan turning into a taunt: "harder, or are you scared to break your new toy?"
which only spurred him to grip your thighs bruisingly, spreading you wider and slamming in at a punishing rhythm that had your tits bouncing and your cunt gushing. the wet slaps echoing as he claimed every inch with possessive thrusts.
sweat slicked your skin as he leaned in to suck a mark onto your breast, his balls slapping against your ass with each deep drive.
the fullness overwhelming as he growled filthy praises mixed with commands: "clench that cunt for me, brat. show me how much you love being tied and fucked like this."
your orgasm built again under the relentless pounding, thighs quivering around his waist.
and you surrendered fully to the fear-laced pleasure, moaning as he tamed every defiant spark with the raw intensity of his possession.
ropes biting your wrists while his cock throbbed inside you, promising more as he chased his own release without slowing down.
that’s it.
you should start praying not to get killed after this.

warnings: corruption, possessiveness, morally grey, dead dove, blood, innocent reader, smut (fingering, blood play, finger sucking, …), n0n-consensual (?), read at you own risk
before you ever met niki, you believed that heaven was incapable of making mistakes. it was not blind faith. at least, you never thought it was.
to you, heaven was simply the only truth you could rely on. unquestionable and eternal, stretching far beyond anything you could understand.
your duty was simple: listen, learn from them, and obey.
the older angels often praised you for it. whenever instructions were given, you just followed them precisely.
whenever a task was assigned, you completed it without complaint. you never questioned orders, never challenged authority, and never allowed pride to take root in your small heart.
at least, you tried not to.
every angel possessed flaws and yours was curiosity. trying your best, you always buried it whenever it surfaced.
the higher-ranking angels seemed pleased by that. curiosity had a way of leading souls into dangerous places.
disobedience had destroyed countless angels before. you had heard the stories: literally any angel had.
the fallen were spoken about with equal amounts of pity and disappointment. their names were rarely mentioned. their accomplishments were forgotten.
they had believed themselves wiser than heaven. they had also believed themselves capable of deciding right from wrong.
they had been punished accordingly.
whenever those stories were told, you listened carefully.
not because you feared becoming like them, because you could not understand why anyone would want to.
heaven was beautiful.
light existed everywhere, woven through every structure and every living thing. vast cities floated among endless clouds, their towers glowing with divine grace.
when you walked through those gardens, you often found herself wondering how anyone could abandon such perfection.
sometimes you would watch younger angels laughing among the flowers and feel warmth spread through your chest.
you loved heaven too much, with all innocence it'll provide you of.
many angels possessed gifts related to healing, creation, or protection, but first grace existed on an entirely different level.
it restored things to their original state. damaged wings could be repaired beneath your touch, corrupted grace could be cleansed, and wounds that should have lingered for centuries vanished within moments.
the older angels often smiled when they looked at you, but you never understood why.
it was only later that you would realize they had been looking at something fragile.
at the time, you simply assumed they were proud. approval mattered to you more than you cared to admit.
whenever an archangel praised your work, you spent days replaying the words in your mind. whenever you were entrusted with an important responsibility, excitement fluttered through your chest.
the desire seemed simple enough.
goodness was simple, or so you believed. since you’ve spent centuries living that way.
for today, you had to help with another request of the higher-ups.
you had been assisting with the restoration of a damaged sanctuary near heaven’s borders when you noticed something unusual.
part of the structure had been destroyed during a conflict involving fallen angels. their names had been removed from every official record.
there was one name you could make out. the dust over it made it almost impossible to do so though.
'nishimura niki - betrayed heaven'
when you asked why their names were removed, the supervising angel merely told you that some things were better forgotten. that answer should have satisfied you.
instead, you found herself thinking about it long afterward. better forgotten, why?
if the fallen were truly wrong, why erase them? would their existence not serve as a warning?
the same day, another task followed. and of course, you accepted the assignment without hesitation.
the archangel delivering the instructions seemed oddly serious. his expression remained unreadable as he handed you the scroll.
“do not cross the border”
“i understand”
“do not speak with the fallen”
“of course”
his gaze lingered on you for a moment longer. almost as though he wanted to say something else.
then he simply dismissed you.
as you descended toward the borders a few days later, sunlight illuminated your wings in brilliant gold. your halo shone without a single imperfection.
you looked exactly as heaven intended.
accepting this task, would become the first mistake you ever made. somewhere between some bushes, you saw a silhouette.
the silhouette's dark wings shimmered like fractured starlight, a thin veil of golden mist where heaven's warmth bled into hell's chill.
and niki lingered in the shadows just beyond it, his black wings folded tight against his lean frame.
niki stepped forward then, his tall silhouette cutting through the haze with a predatory grace, black hair tousled by infernal winds and a smile curving his lips like a blade.
"lost, little guardian?" he murmured, voice low and drawing you closer with nothing more than the magnetic pull of his presence.
"who are you?"
"niki. you might’ve heard of me before since heaven forbid me"
before you could questioners words, his hands were on you, one sliding beneath your robes to part your thighs while the other cupped your face, thumb brushing your lower lip.
"what are you doing? get off me"
you tried to throw his body off yours, but it didn’t work. he was too strong.
he pressed you against the grass beneath, fingers finding the slick heat of your untouched pussy with deliberate intent.
he was circling your clit before sinking two digits deep inside, curling to stroke the sensitive walls that clenched around him in surprise.
your brain couldn’t comprehend what was happening to you.
a soft gasp escaped you, body trembling with the unfamiliar rush of arousal, yet you didn't try stop him. anymore.
your obedience to curiosity overriding caution as his touch ignited sparks along your nerves.
niki's breath hitched against your neck, his own cock hardening visibly beneath his tattered garments, but he focused on the corruption blooming under his hands.
he just ripped the skin sitting above his wrist open. niki's dark blood started dripping down his hand.
he smeared it over your entrance, mixing the crimson with your growing wetness as he thrust his fingers harder, scissoring them to stretch you while the blood's forbidden warmth sent a forbidden thrill racing through your veins.
pleasure coiled tight in your core, mixing with a heady shame that only deepened the sensations.
your hips rocking involuntarily into his rhythm as he whispered dark promises of surrender, his free hand pinning your wrist to expose more skin.
he made another teasing cut, that let fresh beads trickle down to where his fingers worked you open.
niki withdrew his slick fingers from your clenching heat with a slow, deliberate drag, the mixture of your arousal and his blood glistening on his skin as he brought them to your lips.
"taste what you're becoming angel," he urged.
his voice a husky command laced with dark amusement, pressing the coated digits against your mouth until you parted them in bewildered obedience.
you couldn't grasp the full weight of this violation, the way his corruption seeped into every of your nerves.
you didn’t even think twice, your tongue flicked out, lapping at the metallic tang mingled with your own sweetness.
he watched with satisfaction, his free hand now roaming to tug your robes aside and expose the vulnerable column of your throat.
he leaned in close, lips brushing your skin before sucking hard enough to leave blooming hickeys in their wake.
"let them see, yeah?"
niki's cock strained visibly against his garments, but he denied himself for now.
he was focusing on your unraveling as his fingers returned briefly to your pussy, thrusting deep once more before offering them again for you to suck clean.
heaven's mist swirled thicker around you both, hell's chill seeping into your bones even as your core throbbed with building climax.
your mind foggy with sensations you had no divine permission to understand.
those darkening feathers quivered harder now, edges curling black as the corruption took root, and a soft, involuntary moan escaped around his fingers.
he marked you with another hickey just above your collarbone, whispering how beautifully you were falling.
you weren’t some innocent angel anymore.

—————
YOUR BRAIN just refused to shut up.
The empty ketamine package stayed in the back of your mind the entire night, replaying itself every time you tried to sleep properly. Every time you closed your eyes, you saw the crumpled silver packaging again near the tipped over trash can.
By morning, you had already come to two possible conclusions; Either the rumors about Ahyeon were somehow true or the ketamine belonged to Niki.
Neither option made you feel better.
You rubbed your face with one hand before sitting up slowly. The dorm was still quiet enough that most people were probably asleep. Your phone sat beside you untouched from last night after your call with Niki.
The conversation replayed in your head briefly.
‚You drank too much'
That was all he really said.
You stood up and changed into more comfortable clothes before leaving your room. The second you stepped into the living area, you saw Minju sitting at the kitchen counter with her laptop open while Ahyeon stood beside the fridge holding iced coffee.
Neither of them looked fully awake.
"Morning," Minju said first.
Ahyeon looked over briefly. "You look dead."
Minju snorted quietly at that before turning her laptop slightly towards Ahyeon again.
"The company finally answered," she said.
Ahyeon sighed immediately. "About the article?"
"Yeah"
You sat beside Minju while she scrolled through emails. There were already multiple headlines everywhere online.
Some people defended Ahyeon, while others were acting insane over blurry photos that barely showed anything.
Minju clicked one file open.
"Our manager said they're releasing the statement this morning."
Ahyeon leaned against the counter. "Good. Because I'm getting tired of people acting like detectives."
You looked at the draft on screen while Minju skimmed through it once more.
A few seconds later, HYBE officially uploaded the statement online.
NOTICE <SOLYN's Ahyeon False Rumors>
Hello, This is HYBE Labels.
We would like to address the rumors currently spreading online regarding our artist, SOLYN's Ahyeon.
The claims involving usage of illegal substances and alleged meetings with an unidentified trainee are entirely false and groundless. The photos being circulated online are unclear and have been maliciously edited and interpreted in ways that damage our artist's reputation.
We ask that people refrain from spreading unverified information and respect our artist's privacy.
The kitchen stayed quiet for a second after Minju finished reading. Then Ahyeon took a sip of her coffee.
"Damn," she muttered. "That sounds serious as hell wtf man."
"It's HYBE," Minju replied. "They always sound like they're about to sue somebody."
You laughed quietly.
"At least you're not getting kicked out." you added.
Ahyeon finally sat down across from you both. Surprisingly, she really did not seem nervous.
"You're taking this weirdly well," you pointed out.
"What am I supposed to do?" she asked casually. "Cry because random people online are bored?"
Minju shrugged. "Fair point"
The conversation slowly shifted after that. Mostly comeback schedules and complaints about sleeping less than normal people should.
Eventually managers started texting again and the dorm became louder as everyone else woke up one by one.
.
.
.
.
.
By afternoon, you and Ningning were already heading toward another recording session for "Rude".
Ningning walked beside you while scrolling through TikTok. "I still think changing the lyric was a good idea," she said randomly.
"The old one sounded weird."
"Exactly."
You sat down near the recording booth while producers adjusted things behind the glass. The corrected line played through the speakers again.
'You can't make me act right'
Ningning nodded approvingly from beside you. "Yeah, that sounds way better."
Recording went smoothly after that. A few retakes here and there, some teasing from producers when Ningning got distracted halfway through lines, but overall it was easy.
By the time you returned to the dorm that evening, the sky outside had already darkened. The second you opened the front door, you smelled food immediately.
"Oh, finally," Wonhee yelled from somewhere inside. "They're here."
You stepped further inside and immediately saw flowers sitting all over the table.
Chaewon and Yunjin from LE SSERAFIM were standing near the kitchen while Ningning aggressively stole snacks from a bag they brought.
"Those are ours," Yunjin complained.
"And now they're mine"
Chaewon noticed you first and smiled.
"Congrats on the upcoming comeback," she said while handing you another small flower bouquet.
"Thanks, this means a lot to us"
"We brought snacks too," Yunjin added proudly.
The living room already looked crowded. Blankets everywhere, snacks spread across the table, drinks and cocktails sitting on every available surface. A series was already playing on the TV but literally nobody was paying attention.
You dropped onto the couch beside Ahyeon while everyone continued talking over each other.
Yunjin pointed toward your outfit briefly.
"Your fit is good today."
"Finally somebody here with taste," you replied.
Ningning looked offended immediately. "Excuse me?"
About twenty minutes later, another knock echoed through the dorm.
Wonhee looked up immediately. "That better not be another guest..."
Minju stood up this time and opened the door.
Heeseung and Jungwon stepped inside holding flower bouquets and plastic bags filled with soju.
"Congratulations," Heeseung said dramatically while handing flowers over. "We hope your EP will do great! We came in name of the whole group."
"Yeah no, you came for free food," Minju corrected immediately.
Jungwon laughed quietly. "That too."
The atmosphere somehow became even louder after that. The boys settled into the living rooms.
Heeseung instantly started arguing with Yunjin over something while Jungwon got dragged into another debate with Ningning.
"You literally cannot trust horror movie opinions from men," Ningning said.
"That sounds sexist," Heeseung replied.
"It's true though."
You leaned back further into the couch while Ahyeon quietly laughed beside you.
At some point Heeseung grabbed his phone and started facetiming the other ENHYPEN members.
Sunghoon answered first.
"Why do you all look unemployed...," he said immediately through the screen.
"Shut up," Heeseung replied.
Jake appeared in the background suddenly yelling something incoherent. The entire living room dissolved into noise again. Wonhee nearly dropped her drink laughing.
"Where's Niki at?" Jungwon asked casually.
"Sleeping probably," Sunghoon answered.
Right on cue, another voice appeared somewhere off camera.
"I can hear you..."
Then Niki's face appeared briefly onscreen.
"Damn," Heeseung said. "You're actually awake?"
"Unfortunately," Niki answered dryly.
His eyes moved across the screen lazily before pausing for half a second. Then Heeseung moved the phone away again immediately because Jay started yelling something inaudible in the background.
.
.
.
.
.
The night kept going after that. More drinks appeared. Yunjin started singing karaoke, while Chaewon looked seconds away from regretting life decisions.
At one point Jungwon sat cross legged on the floor trying to explain some random theory while Ningning argued back aggressively.
"You sound insane"
"No, listen first"
"I don't want to"
You checked the time on your phone while half listening to them.
11:48 PM.
And then your phone buzzed, making your stomach tightened automatically. Another message appeared immediately underneath the first one.
| pretty flowers, right?
| heeseung talks too much btw
That meant whoever sent this knew exactly who was here tonight. You looked around the room carefully without making it obvious.
Your thumb hovered over the screen. Then there's another buzz again.
| ketamine isn't hard to get if you know how
Your eyes locked onto the message immediately. Another one followed.
| ask ahyeon
Your heartbeat slowed strangely instead of speeding up.
And for the first time since this started, one thought settled clearly into your head.
Niki knew too much.
This can't be too many coincidences. This guy is weird asf. The way he somehow always knew things he should not know.
You locked your phone slowly and leaned back against the couch again before anyone noticed your expression changing.
"Why do you look like that," Ahyeon asked casually beside you.
You looked toward her calmly.
"Like what?"
But Ahyeon didn't answer because Jungwon pulled at your sleeve. Across the room, Heeseung suddenly shoved the phone towards Jungwon again while laughing.
And briefly, you heard Niki's voice through the speaker again.
"Tell Seyeon to answer her phone properly next time"
That was enough for you to finally get it. For the first time you answered that unknown number.
i know it's you niki |

—————
YOU woke up fast today, like your body wasn't arguing with reality about getting up this time.
The room was quiet except for the faint hum of the city outside your window. When you finally stood up and walked into the bathroom, you barely looked at yourself at first.
When you wanted to put on some make up in the mirror, you then looked at yourself.
The hickey was there.
Small, but obvious enough to ruin your entire mood in one second. You stared at it for a moment, like you were trying to decide if you were annoyed or just tired.
Probably both.
You opened your makeup drawer and started covering it without thinking too much about it, blending concealer with the same focus you usually used before stages. When it finally disappeared under layers of product, you exhaled softly like it was solved.
Later at breakfast, the dorm felt normal again, finally without intruders. Ningning was talking loudly about something unimportant while Minju was half listening and half eating.
Wonhee was scrolling through her phone and Ahyeon was sitting quietly like she always did in the mornings. You kept your hoodie slightly pulled higher than usual, but nobody seemed to notice it.
At least not until Minju looked up mid conversation.
"Why are you acting suspicious," she said casually, squinting at you.
You didn't even look up from your plate. "I am not acting anything."
Ningning leaned in immediately like she smelled drama. "Are you hiding something?"
"I'm just eating," you replied flatly.
Minju hummed softly and went back to her food without really looking at you again.
Ningning was still talking about something else entirely, fully distracted, waving her spoon around mid sentence.
Ahyeon barely looked up from her plate. "Can we just eat in peace," she said calmly.
Wonhee nodded while chewing. "Yeah I'm starving."
The moment passed quickly and nobody paid attention to you anymore, the conversation already moving on like nothing had happened.
.
.
.
.
.
A few hours later, you were inside a black SUV on the way to the MV shoot. The city passed by slowly outside the tinted windows while everyone either rested or talked softly.
The schedule for the day felt long but manageable, and nobody was in the mood to complain too much.
The concept was already one of your favorites. SOLYN's new title track was "FOCUS," inspired by a soft energy.
The production team had been talking about it like it was going to be a big comeback. The choreography was clean and repetitive, which made it easily memorable to you.
The studio was already set up when you arrived. You went through styling first, then hair and makeup, while the rest of the group got ready in their own sections.
Ningning kept talking the entire time about how the concept felt "too cute," while Ahyeon just nodded without fully listening.
The only person that was ready to fully embrace the concept was Wonhee. But after all, she's the youngest.
Filming started quickly after that. The main group scenes were first, everyone moving under warm lighting and cozy surfaces. The song felt smooth but addictive.
You caught your reflection in multiple props while dancing, and for a second it felt like the room was repeating you endlessly.
Between takes, Minju nudged your arm.
"I hope our fans will like it," she said.
"Same," you replied simply.
Later in the day, you moved on to the duo shoot with Ningning for "Rude," a separate track that didn't have a completely different tone. But it eas an even lighter concept, more playful.
The MV direction was simple but effective, mostly focused on expressions and small interactions rather than heavy choreography.
While repeating your line over and over again, you've noticed something.
"Why is it 'You can make me act right'? That sounds weird..."
The lyricist looked at you now. You walked up to him, approaching with a new idea.
"After the shoot and before releasing, can we change it to 'You can't make me act right'? It makes more sense to me"
He looked you up and down before agreeing. So, you continued on shooting the MV with Ningning.
The shoot moved fast, and by the time it wrapped, everyone looked slightly exhausted but satisfied. You changed out of styling and headed back into the SUV with the group, your makeup slightly smudged but still intact enough to pass.
On the ride back, the mood was quieter than usual. Ahyeon stared out the window while Minju scrolled through her phone.
Then suddenly, Ahyeon's phone buzzed. She looked at it, then frowned slightly.
"What is that," she said.
Everyone glanced over. She turned the screen slightly towards you all. It was an online article headline.
| "SOLYN member Ahyeon allegedly seen with unknown male idol trainee; taking drugs"
There was a blurry photo attached. This made the car go quiet for a second.
Ningning leaned closer. "That's nothing."
Minju blinked. "It could be anyone."
Wonhee scoffed. "People really make anything a scandal now."
Ahyeon just stared at it for a moment, then put her phone down calmly.
"It's fake," she said simply. Trying to change the topic because of how uncomfortable it made her.
The topic stayed in the air even after the conversation moved on. When you got back to the dorm later that night, the atmosphere felt more tired than usual. As an idol, how is that even possible?
Ahyeon stayed behind in the kitchen while the others went to their rooms. You eventually followed her, finding her sitting at the table with her phone still open.
"You okay?" you asked.
She shrugged slightly. "I'm fine, really. It's just annoying."
"People are too noisy these days," you said.
She nodded once. "Not only these days, they always are for some reasons."
There was a short silence before she leaned back slightly.
Ahyeon stayed seated at the table for a moment longer, her phone still glowing softly in front of her. The kitchen light made everything look a little too calm for what the internet had just tried to turn into a scandal.
She sighed quietly and pushed the phone slightly away from her.
"You know what's funny," she said suddenly.
You leaned against the counter, arms loosely crossed. "Ahyeon, nothing about this is funny."
"I mean, not that," she corrected herself, tapping the edge of her phone. "This one article reminded me of something else I read earlier."
You glanced at her. "Another article?"
"Yeah," she said, like it was nothing unusual. "It was actually under that scandal one. People were arguing in the comments and someone linked this whole to a soulmate theory thing."
You raised a brow slightly. "Soulmate theory?"
Ahyeon nodded, resting her elbow on the table. "Not in a romantic way necessarily. It was about people, who keep showing up in your life even when you don't know them."
You stayed quiet for a second, not because you were uninterested, but because the topic felt random and yet quiet fitting.
"It said there are signs," she added. "Like physical reactions to certain people, stuff like that. And apparently some people believe you can even feel it in your body."
You let out a short breath through your nose. "That sounds like some bullshit people made up because they were bored."
"Probably," she said, not offended. "But it was interesting."
You leaned a little more against the counter now, gaze dropping briefly to the floor before returning to her.
"People really overthink everything," you said.
Ahyeon shrugged lightly. "Yeah they do"
She paused for a second, then added casually, "It also said physical reactions can happen when you are around that person. Like sudden heat, tingling, or discomfort"
That made you go quiet for a second longer than intended.
You shifted your weight slightly. "That sounds like anxiety to me"
"Probably," she agreed again, scrolling away from the article now like it wasn't important anymore. Ahyeon leaned back in her chair, finally closing her phone.
"I don't believe in that stuff anyway," she said. "It just stuck in my head because people were arguing about it so aggressively."
You gave a small nod.
Another short silence settled between you two. The kitchen felt normal again, just the quiet hum of the fridge and distant movement somewhere in the dorm.
After a moment, you pushed yourself off the counter.
"I'm going to my room," you said.
"Okay, see you," Ahyeon replied, already distracted again.
You left the kitchen without much thought, walking down the hallway slowly. The dorm lights were dimmer now, most of the others already settled in their rooms. The quiet made everything feel heavier than it should have been.
As you passed the hallway corner, something caught your attention.
A small trash can was tipped over near the wall.
You frowned slightly and slowed your steps. It didn't look like it had fallen naturally. Papers and small wrappers were scattered across the floor like someone had knocked it over in a hurry.
Who did this?
You bent slightly, about to push it upright when something else made you pause. There was a small package on the ground near it.
Not just any trash. It looked like a medicine packet, empty, crumpled slightly like it had been handled. Your eyes focused on it for a second longer than you meant to.
You crouched down slowly and picked it up between your fingers. It was labeled, but not clearly enough to read everything at first glance. Then, you could read it though.
Ketamine 50mg/ml
The label of packaging made your stomach tighten slightly for reasons you couldn't name.
You turned it over once to reveal its emptiness.
You stood up again slowly, looking at the hallway like it might suddenly give you an explanation.
Ahyeon's voice from earlier replayed in your head: The article and the scandal. The idea of things being made up.
You looked back down at the empty package again.
"No way," you whispered quietly to yourself.
Your thoughts moved faster now, trying to connect something that didn't want to be connected cleanly. The timing, the article, and her reaction earlier, how calm she was even when the scandal appeared.
You swallowed lightly, suddenly unsure what exactly you were even assuming. It could be nothing and it probably was nothing. Trash ended up in random places all the time in a shared dorm.
Still, your fingers tightened slightly around the empty packet before you forced yourself to drop it back into the trash can and stand up properly.
Then you turned and walked toward your room, slower than before, like your thoughts were now walking slightly ahead of you.
You walked over to your bed and sat down, grabbing your phone from the nightstand. Your thumb hovered over the screen for a second before you opened your contacts.
Niki's name was there. You've gotten his number through Ningning.
You weren't even fully sure what you wanted to ask. But something about the way everything had been stacking up in your head wouldn't settle.
You pressed the call button before you could overthink it further.
"What," his voice came through, sounding like he had just woken up or wasn't fully in the mood to talk.
"It's Seyeon," you said simply.
There was a short silence on the other end.
"Yeah i could’ve guessed that," he replied.
You shifted slightly on the bed. "I just wanted to ask something."
"Go on," he said.
"What happened last night?" you asked. "After we went to my room. I don't remember everything clearly."
"You don't remember?" he repeated.
"I remember bits," you said quickly. "Just not everything."
"You drank too much," he said simply.
You blinked slightly, looking down at your hands.
"That's it?" you asked.
"Pretty much," he answered.
"So I just went to my room?" you said.
"Yeah," he replied.
You stayed quiet for a second, replaying fragments in your head. The hickey.
"What about the hickey?" you asked.
"It's nothing really. You okay?"
You glanced toward your wrist without really focusing on it. But it did sting again for no reason.
Was he lying to me?
Is this connected to what Ahyeon talked about?
Had he taken the Ketamine dosage?
"Yeah," you replied after a second. "I'm just tired."
"Mm," he hummed softly, like he accepted that without questioning it further.

| synopsis: YOU never had a soulmate mark, until the day it finally appeared the moment someone lied to you.
Now everytime you see him, it burns.
And when an unknown number starts sending stalker messages, you start to wonder if love was ever what this 'bond' was meant to be.
!! warnings: smut (fingering, marking, …), toxicity, stalking, obsessive behaviour, possessiveness, alcohol
—————
A WHOLE WEEK passed without another message. No unknown numbers and no random buzzing in the middle of the night. No burning strong enough to make your hands shake.
You still did not know why your wrist burned that badly from time to time, but it had stopped.
Yeah, it better stay that way.
Everything slowly started feeling normal again. At least that was what you kept telling yourself to keep your nerves together.
SOLYN's schedules continued like always. Days blurred together so fast that there was barely enough time to think about anything else.
The weird feeling never fully disappeared though. Sometimes your wrist still stung for no reason. Small enough to ignore, but noticeable enough to stay in the back of your mind. Always.
You stopped checking your phone every five minutes. You stopped looking over your shoulder whenever you walked through the HYBE building.
And eventually, even the memory of those messages started feeling less serious. When you thought back to them, it was almost embarrassing how paranoid they made you.
Maybe exhaustion really had gotten into your head. Ningning definitely did not think so though.
"You're actually insane if you think that was normal," she said one night while sitting cross legged on your bed.
You looked up from your phone.
"It probably was just a sasaeng. I already told you that"
"A sasaeng that somehow knew your number after you blocked them?"
You stayed quiet.
"Exactly," she said immediately. "See? Weird as hell."
You let out a small breath.
"Okay yeah, maybe a little."
"A little?" Ningning stared at you. "Niki was standing outside your dorm at night like some damn stalker."
You rolled your eyes slightly.
"You're dragging it"
"No I am not." She pointed at you. "And him saying weird shit too? Nah, I swear to god if a man ever tells me 'try not to lie too much' I am calling the police on them immediately"
You laughed despite the seriousness behind the topic.
"That sounds a bit too much, but you're right"
She shook her head. "Actually no, scratch that. He sounds completely insane"
You leaned back against the wall.
"He didn't even really do anything though"
"Yet. And that's even worse," Ningning replied. "Normal people would explain themselves, unlike him."
You laughed again, quieter this time. Ningning watched your expression for a second before narrowing her eyes slightly.
"Wait"
"What now, Ningning..."
"You think he's fine, that's why you don't find this behaviour weird"
You almost choked.
"What are you even talking about? This is getting out of hand"
"Oh my god you do." She pointed again. "Why else would you be defending him?"
"I am not defending him"
"You literally are", she teased.
"He's just weird"
"Yeah, not for you tho"
You grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at her face.
"Shut up"
Ningning laughed about your behaviour loudly.
"Stop hopping on my dick," you muttered while grabbing your phone again.
She kept laughing anyway.
After that conversation, things settled again. Until Friday evening.
.
.
.
.
.
It was the end of a full week. You had just finished showering when someone knocked on your door twice before opening it without waiting.
Wonhee stepped inside while holding a bowl of snacks. You frowned slightly.
"What do you need?"
"Why do you always sound annoyed when I enter your room?"
"Because you never knock unlike normal people"
"I just did"
Wonhee ignored you and sat down at the edge of your bed.
"You know what I noticed recently?"
"Please do not be as delusional as Ningning"
She gasped dramatically.
"Can you stop being rude for one second?"
"Fine, go on."
Wonhee lowered her voice immediately.
"I think one of the ENHYPEN members keeps coming near our dorm"
Your expression changed slightly.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Not in a creepy way maybe...," she said quickly. "But I keep seeing somebody around here late at night."
You sat up straighter.
"Which one of them?"
"I don't even know." She shrugged. "He's tall and wears a black hoodie usually. But yesterday when I saw someone, I promise to you it was one of them. It has to be"
Your stomach tightened slightly.
"Wonhee, when was this?"
"Like around midnight maybe"
Your mind immediately connected the pieces together before you could stop it.
Niki outside your hallway.
You stared down at your hands for a second.
"No way," you muttered quietly.
Wonhee blinked in confusion, but you shook your head quickly.
Your thoughts kept moving. Maybe it wasn't him and somebody else gave him informations about your group. A sasaeng maybe.
People sold idol information constantly. Addresses, schedules, private numbers, and your group wasn't an exception. Fans were insane sometimes.
Or maybe somebody around you accidentally leaked things without realizing it. In a live or something like that?
"You okay?" Wonhee asked.
"Yeah"
She looked unconvinced for a second before standing up.
"Well anyway," she said while grabbing her snacks again, "don't tell Ahyeon I told you because she'll start acting like our security guard again."
You laughed quietly.
"Alright"
The moment she left, your room became silent again. You stared at your phone for a long moment.
Maybe you really were overthinking. Maybe none of this had anything to do with Niki.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A few hours later the dorm looked completely different.
The living room lights were dimmed and random snacks covered the table. Empty drink bottles already sat near the couch even though the movie had barely started.
Ningning sat on the floor complaining about movie choices while Minju kept trying to change the film every five minutes.
"You guys have horrible taste," Ningning complained.
"You literally wanted to watch romance"
"Because horror movies are like so lame"
Jake looked genuinely offended.
"Now, that is crazy disrespectful", he said.
Jungwon laughed from beside him.
"She says that every time"
"Because I'm right"
You sat near the armrest while scrolling through your phone lazily, barely paying attention to the argument.
The atmosphere felt easy tonight. Some of your members invited Jake and Jungwon from ENHYPEN to your dorm. But since they were the most bearable, you did not complain.
Jake suddenly sat up slightly.
"Wait, I forgot somebody"
Ningning groaned immediately.
"If you call Sunoo, I'm leaving"
Jake ignored her and grabbed his phone.
"Relax."
You barely looked up while he dialed somebody. Then you heard the voice through speaker for half a second, making your body stiffen automatically.
"Where are you?" Jake asked casually.
A deeper voice answered something too muffled to understand.
"We're at SOLYN's dorm," Jake continued. "Come here already."
Your eyes slowly lifted from your phone. Ningning blinked.
"You invited somebody else?", you asked.
Jake grinned shamelessly.
"Maybe"
"You are so annoying," Ahyeon complained.
Jungwon laughed quietly beside her.
"That's to be expected from Jake"
About twenty minutes later another knock echoed through the dorm. Wonhee immediately jumped up.
"I got it!"
You stayed where you were. Then the door opened and there he was.
Black hair slightly messy like he had rushed over. He wore a dark hoodie and had his hands inside his pockets again.
Your eyes met for barely a second before you looked away. Ningning leaned towards you instantly.
"Hell no," she whispered.
You elbowed her immediately.
"Stop. Why does my fate hate me so much?", you quietly asked her.
"I swear he literally spawns at our dorm"
Jake waved him over casually.
"Took you long enough.", he said, welcoming him.
"Traffic," Niki answered shortly.
"In what? The dorm halls?" Jake asked, but he didn't receive an answer.
Then his eyes moved briefly to you again.
The movie eventually started, but nobody actually watched it. Half the time everyone just talked over each other instead.
Jungwon and Ningning argued about survival horror movies for almost ten minutes straight while Jake kept trying to defend terrible plot twists.
"You just hate fun," Jake complained dramatically.
"No," Ningning replied immediately. "You just cannot enjoy anything good."
"You're such a hater", he fired back.
"It's true.", Minju agreed.
You laughed quietly under your breath while reaching for another soju glass.
The alcohol sat warm in your system already. Not enough to make you drunk yet, but enough to loosen everything slightly.
At some point Minju disappeared to her room after getting tired. Wonhee and Ahyeon followed soon after.
That left you, Ningning, Jungwon, Jake, and Niki still sitting in the living room.
Jake stretched his arms dramatically.
"I need water before I die"
"You aren't dying anytime soon," Jungwon said immediately.
"You do not know my struggle."
Jake grabbed Niki's sleeve while standing.
"Come with me I'll show you around"
"I know where the kitchen is myself"
How did he?
You snapped out of it again.
"Just move"
Niki looked annoyed for half a second before getting dragged away anyway.
The second they disappeared into the kitchen, Ningning leaned toward you again.
"He keeps looking at you"
You almost rolled your eyes.
"Can you stop?"
"I'm serious"
"So am I," Jungwon suddenly added casually.
Both you and Ningning looked at him immediately.
"What," Jungwon said innocently.
Ningning gasped loudly.
"Even he's agreeing"
"You people be doing too much," you muttered.
A few minutes later Jake returned carrying drinks again while Niki followed behind him quietly.
The night blurred softer after that. More talking between you guys and the system became more filled with alcohol.
At some point Ningning and Jungwon somehow ended up debating fandom theories while Jake nearly cried laughing beside them.
You leaned back against the couch, half listening to the chaos around you. Then you noticed Niki watching you.
He sat across from you now.
One arm resting against the couch behind him. Dark eyes fixated directly on yours without looking away.
Then Jake suddenly yelled something loudly and the moment broke instantly.
Thank god.
Suddenly, Niki stood up and pulled you by your wrist into your apartment.
How did he even know that this one is yours?
But you were too wasted to form any thoughts.
The dim lights of the dorm hallway flickered, casting erratic shadows that danced across the plush carpet as you stumbled alongside Niki.
The air was thick with the sweet, cloying scent of spilled soju and the faint undertone of perfume from the group's earlier celebration.
Your head spun from the alcohol, a warm haze blurring the edges of reality, but Niki's presence was there. His black hair falling messily over his fierce eyes, which glinted with a desire, that made your pulse quicken.
He guided you to your bed.
"You think you can handle us, angel? Or are you already too drunk to remember this by tomorrow?"
His voice was a trap, laced with some toxic charm that left you wanting more without knowing why, even as a faint burn prickled at your wrist.
Niki wasted no time, his hands roaming your body with deliberate softness, fingers tracing the curve of your waist before sliding under your top.
You gasped as his lips crashed into yours, the kiss was deep and insistent, tasting of salt and soju.
His tongue explored your mouth, pulling back just enough to make you chase him, your bodies pressing closer in the dim glow of a bedside lamp.
The heat between you built up, and as he eased you onto the bed, his hand ventured lower, slipping beneath the waistband of your shorts.
"Wait, Niki. You're confusing as hell. What are you even doing? This is all happening too quick"
"Just let me have you this once, yeah?"
That's a lie. Your wrist burned exactly at the moment of said words.
Before you could decide whether to protest against his question or not, he sucked on your neck.
It all happened so fast, you can't recall why you didn't protest against him. Maybe, it was because there was a small glimpse of you actually craving this shit.
Yeah, you're craving him even after everything that happened. There's just something about Niki.
If he leaves anything behind, I'm fucked tho.
Under your pants, he circled your clit slowly, then dipped two fingers softly inside your folds, the wet sounds of your arousal filling the air as he worked you open.
The sensation was getting out of hand, it was a mix of pleasure and vulnerability that made your hips buck against his hand.
Niki's touch was both gentle and commanding, his fingers curling inside you to hit that sensitive spot, that made stars burst behind your eyelids.
But beneath the raw desire, there was an undercurrent of something deeper, a pull that felt almost fated, even if you couldn't name it yet.
His lies, those casual deceptions he wove so effortlessly, ignited that strange burn on your wrist again, a flame that only you felt, it was heightening the intensity as he leaned in to nip at your neck again.
Yet in this moment, with his fingers pumping steadily, drawing out your sounds, all you could focus on was the overwhelming need for it to be done to you, the way your body arched into his, chasing the edge of ecstasy.
You shouldn't get drunk anymore. At least not when ENHYPEN is around.

YOU woke up more tired than usual. You weren't feeling any of the 'rest' you got, resulting in your body not feeling like moving yet.
Your eyes stayed closed for a few seconds longer while your mind tried to catch up with everything from yesterday. Then the memories hit you and you grabbed your phone.
Your fingers brushed against the screen before you even opened your eyes fully. You unlocked it and stared at the screen.
Gladly there weren't new notifications or new messages.
They finally left me alone.
You kept staring anyway. Your thumb refreshed the chat once, then again, but still nothing changed. That's a good sign because it meant that it was over. But just in case, you had blocked the number.
You locked your phone and placed it next to you, still your eyes stayed on it for another second before you finally sat up. Your head felt clearer than yesterday, but your body still felt slightly off.
The dorm was quieter than usual as well. Even then, you could hear soft voices coming from the kitchen, mixed with the sound of cutlery and movement.
Ningning sat at the table, scrolling through her phone while picking at her salad. Wonhee was across from her, mixing her food slowly. Minju leaned against the counter, and Ahyeon was the first to notice your presence.
"You're finally awake," Ningning said, glancing up.
You nodded slightly and walked over.
"Yeah"
You sat down and pulled your bowl closer. The salad looked the same as always. These damn diets.
"You good now?" Wonhee asked casually.
You nodded again.
"Yes"
Ahyeon looked at you for a second longer than the others.
"Just eat properly," she said.
"I will, don't worry too much," you replied.
Minju stayed quiet, just watching everything. The moment passed quickly, and the conversation shifted.
"Yesterday was actually insane," Wonhee said, leaning forward slightly. "Did you see IVE's stage with the transitions?"
"Obviously," Ningning answered immediately. "And the outfits were ethereal too. Everyone went all out this year"
Minju nodded, adding something about formations and timing.
Your phone sat next to you on the table. You glanced at it once, just to be sure no one was texting you again.
Halfway through eating, Ahyeon's phone rang. She checked the screen and then looked at you.
"It's for you," she said while handing it over.
You took it.
"Hello"
"Seyeon, I heard about yesterday," your manager said. "Are you feeling better now?"
"Yeah, I do," you answered quickly.
There was a short pause.
"We can arrange a medical checkup, just to be safe"
"That's not necessary," you said. "It was just my low blood sugar. It's nice of you to worry, but I'm really doing great again"
Another pause followed. You could almost feel them deciding whether to push it any further. Then they sighed.
"Alright, but try to take it easy today. We can't have your fans thinking the company is overworking you"
"Mhm"
The call ended just like that.
You handed the phone back and continued eating. No one made a big deal out of it, thankfully.
"That's good then," Minju added.
"Just don't scare us like that again," Ningning said.
"I won't," you replied.
And that was enough for the conversation to move on again. Ningning and Wonhee went back to talking about performances.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Later that day, you decided to go practice. You didn't have to, but staying in the dorm felt even worse.
"I'm going to the practice room," you said.
Ningning looked up instantly.
"I'll come with you. You do remember, we have to practice for our upcoming duo?"
You nodded.
The practice room felt familiar the moment you stepped in. You started running through choreography, and your body felt steady again.
You both practiced for a while before taking a break. Ningning sat down next to you, grabbing her water.
"Did you watch more of the MAMA Awards after we got to the dorms?" she asked.
You shook your head.
"Not really"
"You missed a lot then," she said. "Some performances were actually insane. I swear some companies suddenly got extra motivation. They really threw all their money into those stages"
You smiled slightly.
"Of course they did."
She kept talking, going into small details, pointing out things she liked and things she would have done differently. You listened, answering here and there, laughing when she got dramatic about something small.
A faint sting brushed across your wrist, making you pause in listening to Ningning. But before you could react, it disappeared.
"Let's go through the choreo again," you said, standing up.
She nodded.
After some more practice, you both decided to get more water. The hallway outside was quiet, your footsteps echoing lightly. It seemed like most of the other groups in your company were resting today instead of working.
But then you saw them.
ENHYPEN were heading toward another practice room. Your eyes moved over them without thinking.
And then you saw Niki.
He was talking to someone, probably Sunghoon, and they did not even notice you.
Ningning stepped forward a little.
"Jungwon, hey," she said casually.
He smiled.
"Hey"
"You guys are busy again already," she asked. "Are you preparing something?"
"Maybe," he said, slightly amused. "We always are though."
"That sounds like a yes."
He shrugged lightly.
"We cannot say too much yet or HYBE will get our ass"
"Does that mean a comeback?" she faintly teased.
"It could be something else too, you know," he replied.
"Sure," she said, clearly not believing him. "You guys were really good yesterday though."
"Thank you," he said. "You too. Your stage was real impressive."
Ningning smiled.
"Did you rest at all?" he asked.
"Not really," she admitted. "But we are doing fine again."
"Same here," he said.
You stood nearby, quiet, holding your water bottle. You glanced over at them again briefly, then quickly looked away.
After a few more words, you and Ningning moved on. You grabbed your water and went back to the practice room.
.
.
.
.
.
Later that night, you were back in your room.
You sat on your bed with your phone in your hands. You stared at the blocked contact. Not only had you blocked them, but you had also deleted those creepy messages.
It should've been over by now.
So you locked your phone and placed it down. Since it was almost dark outside, you grabbed your remote and turned on your TV.
But then your phone buzzed, and you froze. Slowly, you looked down at it as the screen lit up. Paranoia made its way up your back.
A new message from an unknown number, again. Another buzz followed fastly.
Your fingers moved before you could think. You opened the message.

Another message appeared.

| synopsis: YOU never had a soulmate mark, until the day it finally appeared the moment someone lied to you.
Now everytime you see him, it burns.
And when an unknown number starts sending stalker messages, you start to wonder if love was ever what this 'bond' was meant to be.
!! warnings: toxicity, stalking, eating disorder
—————
THE FIRST THING you noticed wasn't the noise around you. Because it should've been loud.
Every time you guys went to the MAMA Awards it was, at all times. Your staffs moved quickly in order to prepare everything for your upcoming stage set.
But none of your surroundings reached your head properly. Every sound seemed distant, almost like it had to travel through something thick before it got to you.
Your body felt hollow.
You stood still in your place, waiting for something to happen. When you were staring at the environment around you, you were trying to remember the last time you had eaten properly.
The realization should have bothered you more than it did. Your company really doesn't play about diets and makes you stick to them until you've reached their ideal again.
This shit went down every comeback of SOLYN.
"Seyeon, are you even listening?"
Ahyeon's voice cut through your thoughts, way clearer than the ones of the others. You turned your head, meeting her eyes. She was already watching you so closely, weird...
She had always been good at noticing things, especially the ones you tried to hide. Maybe it was just her way of trying to show her kindness.
"I am," you said.
She didn't even try to look convinced.
"You look off, maybe you should rest this once" she replied quietly.
You shook your head once, "You're reaching"
A faint sting brushed across your skin. If you weren't paying enough attention, you could have ignored it completely.
But you were noticing it. You had been noticing small things like that all day. Maybe you're just too caught up about your appearance and get uncomfortable too easily.
The sensation disappeared just as fast as it came. Still, there was something off about it.
"SEYEONNN"
This time it was Ningning. Her tone was lighter than Ahyeon's, but there was still concern underneath it.
"You are so pale. Did you eat anything?"
You hesitated for half a second.
"Yes"
Another lie. But atleast they wouldn't notice, right?
"Maybe she's just tired," Wonhee stepped in quickly, with a small smile, "We have been practicing a lot lately"
"You get me Wonhee"
Ahyeon held your gaze for a moment longer, like she was deciding whether to push the convo any further. Then she sighed softly and looked away.
"Get in your places," a staff member called out.
Everyone moved at once and the conversation between your members died down. The moment for concern disappeared under your routines and the expectations of others.
You followed the others toward the stage entrance only to be met by way too bright lights. For a brief moment, your vision blurred, swallowed by the bright lights.
The crowd existed somewhere beyond that, but you could not see them yet. You blinked, forcing your eyes to adjust as the opening tick in your
in-ear-monitor began.
"BURNING UP"
Something felt off, but either way you just kept going. Halfway through the first formation, it happened again.
Your wrist felt a sharp burn.
It cut across your skin suddenly, too precise to be denied by you yet again. Making your breath hitch for a second.
But for this stage, you had to push through. You guys went to the MAMA Awards for a reason, you couldn't mess this up.
The music carried you forward, each count of your in-ear-monitor pulling you into the next movement. You followed it, even as the edges of your vision started to soften again.
Then it came back even stronger. The burn lingered longer this time.
You moved into the next sequence, your limbs feeling heavier with each count. The lights above seemed harsher now, pressing down instead of illuminating your silhouette. The crowd was still invisible to you, reduced to noise and presence without form.
Your vision dipped.
The floor rushed up towards you faster than your mind could process and then there was nothing. You fell unconscious through the exhaustion that catched up to you.
.
.
.
.
.
When you opened your eyes again, the world had changed.
The lights were not as bright now, the noise was quieter and can't be heard anymore. You could hear voices around you, low and tense, but still layered with much concern.
"She just collapsed," someone said.
"Call someone now," another voice replied.
You blinked slowly, your vision clearing in fragments. The ceiling came into focus first, then Ningning's face.
Her expression was worried, her usual brightness replaced with something sharper. Everyone else stood beside her and kept an eye on you.
"You passed out," Ningning said.
"Are you dizzy?" Minju asked softly.
You shook your head.
"Maybe it is just because you didn't eat enough," Wonhee said, her voice kind of quick. "That happens sometimes, right? With schedules like this?"
"Wonhee," Ahyeon said quietly.
She did not raise her voice, but it was enough for the silence settling over the group again.
You pushed yourself up slowly, ignoring the way your body resisted. You looked up and right past them, there were staffs moving in the background, simply doing their job.
That was when you saw him standing a few meters away, with ENHYPEN.
Niki
You had seen him before, of course. After all you guys are in the same company and some schedules just overlap.
His expression did not change when your eyes met his. If anything, it became more filled with anger, like he had been waiting for this exact moment to happen.
Then the burn came back, making you flinch again. This time you couldn't stop it, but Minju noticed immediately.
"Huh, what was that?"
"I don't even know," you said quickly.
Is this another coincidence again? This wasn't random, but it lowkey could be.
Anyways, you looked away first. That felt like the only thing you could control between you and Niki.
Around you, the noise of the backstage area continued like nothing had happened. Nobody cared for your unconscious moment anymore.

The ride back felt longer than it actually was.
The black SUV was quiet in an atmosphere that made everything inside it feel awkward and no one was talking much. The exhaustion had finally caught up, sitting on everyone's shoulders now.
You stared out of the window to see city lights passing in slow streaks, blurred by the glass separating you from it. You couldn't focus on anything long enough for it to matter. Your body still felt slightly disconnected, like you were only half inside it.
Ningning sat beside you. She had not stopped glancing at you every few minutes, like she was trying to confirm you were still awake.
"You really should get sleep as soon as we get back," she said softly.
"I will," you replied automatically.
Minju was across from you, her hands folded in her lap. Wonhee leaned slightly against the window, eyes half-focused on the passing lights. Ahyeon sat closest to the door.
You shifted slightly in your seat. The movement felt delayed, like your body needed permission before it obeyed.
"Everyone be careful getting out," Ahyeon said as the car stopped.
Everyone nodded and then the door opened.
Cold air hit your face immediately. It was sharp enough to wake you up a little, but not enough to fix anything.
The walk to the entrance was short, but it felt like something you had to consciously endure. Your legs moved without protest now, but your mind still lagged behind.
Inside the dorm building, the atmosphere shifted again.
You all moved through the hallway without much conversation. Expect for Wonhee and Minju yapping about the other group's performances.
You went straight to your room. The moment the door closed behind you, the silence felt more peaceful again.
As you sat on the edge of your bed, you just kept staring at your hands. Suddenly your phone buzzed. When you blinked at it, you weren't sure if it was real.
Then again it buzzed, so you reached for it slowly.
Not a sasaeng again... it's an unknown number. You hesitated for a moment before opening it.
Staring at these words always made you feel uncomfortable. Why can't these motherfuckers leave you alone.
Seriously, what's their issue?
Another message appeared before you could react. You reread the messages, but the number remains unknown.
Again, another message came.
| you should have stayed longer
| does it still hurt you when i lie?
Your breath paused, wtf.
| it should
You lay down your phone and push your head into your pillow trying to get some sleep and ignore this crazy sasaeng...

the city's lights throbbed faintly through the thin walls of your apartment, a low hum of distant traffic was the only thing that could be heard. you sat on your bed, the faint scent of smoke clinging to some of your clothes when you were staring at the phone screen. the glow casting sharp shadows across your face.
your heart raced with that familiar and weird mix of excitement and dread. niki's message had landed like a shot right through your heart, only three words pulled you back into the orbit you’d never seem to escape.
"come over now," it read, and even though you knew better, the promise of his black hair falling messily over his eyes and that grip of his on your body kind of made you feel alive. so, why not?
when glancing at the clock on the phone, its digits were outlining the late hour. but either way, you slipped on a jacket and tiptoed past your roommate's door.
outside, the night air hit like a slap, sharp and biting with the prediction of rain. your breath fogged in the atmosphere when hurrying down the dimly lit street.
that’s when you could already feel the weight of history pressing in again, the way niki's toxicity wrapped around yourself like smoke from one of his late night dealings, intoxicating and suffocating all at once.
you were exes, sure, but also friends with benefits in the most cruel way possible. that mind of yours was racing with memories of his eyes narrowing in jealousy over nothing.
the walk wasn't long, but it felt eternal, the streetlights flickering as well as the stars above.
when approaching his building, the familiar door loomined ahead, your pulse quickened, full of of anticipation and unease appearing in your stomach.
pausing for a moment, rethinking what you could be doing right now other than meeting up with your ex. but there wasn’t anything better you could be doing right now.
either way, niki was waiting, his shadow that loomed large, and despite the toxicity that poisoned your every interaction, you couldn't deny the thrill that coursed through your veins.
with a deep breath you opened the door to his house, made your way up the stairs, and then the door to his apartment.
niki was already there in the entryway, leaning against the frame, his black hair falling over his eyes just as you'd imagined, a joint in his hand.
his gaze locked onto yours, hungry, and without a word, he extended it to your hands. yeah, he’s still fucked up.
"took you long enough to get here," he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down your spine, when taking the joint and inhaling it deeply, the smoke started filling your lungs.
the weed hit fast, wrapping you both in a euphoric fog that made the room spin and the world outside fade to nothing, your bodies sinking onto the couch in a tangle of limbs.
your head fought with the high, niki's face inches from yours, his breath mingling with the lingering smoke as he took another hit and passed it back.
feeling the drug's grip loosening your inhibitions, your skin tingles with an electric buzz that amplified not only every touch, but also every glance.
his hand found your thigh, fingers pressing into the soft flesh, just when you were laying your head down onto his shoulder. the joint burned down to a stub between you guys, forgotten as your laughter turned breathy.
then, it just happened, your lips crashed together in a kiss, tasting of smoke and your lipstick.
niki's tongue slipped past your lips, as his hands were roaming up your sides to cup your breasts through the jacket, thumbs brushing over your nipples until you were arching into him, a soft sound escaping.
you felt the heat building between your legs, pussy throbbing with a wet ache as his body pressed closer against yours. the high amplified every sensation, the firm grip of his fingers digging into your waist, pulling you onto his lap, and making you feel alive once again.
yet beneath the physical rush, a flicker of unease twisted in your chest, the blurred line between desire and destruction pulling you under, even when surrendering to the chemistry that bound you.
niki's hands slid up your back, fingers curling into the hem of the jacket as he pulled you even closer, his voice a whisper against you ear, "you’re such a needy thing, aren’t you? always coming back for more like you can’t live without me"
the words stung, laced with that familiar unease that made your stomach turn even as the weed haze blurred edges, making you crave the roughness of his touch.
he stood up abruptly, tugging you along with him down the narrow hall of his apartment.
legs were starting to feel unsteady, amplifying every sensation as he guided you into the bedroom, the door creaking open to reveal the unmade bed.
inside, niki pushed you gently but firmly against the edge of the bed, his eyes dark with intent as he reached for his phone on the nightstand, thumbing through it with a smirk. "let’s set the mood for you, babe," he said, his tone mocking, "since you’re already so out of your mind and desperate"
the music started playing - 'greedy' by tate mcrae. he loomed over you, his body heat radiating as he finally slid that jacket off your shoulders, exposing the thin fabric of a crop top clinging to your skin.
"look at you, all wet and willing for me, just from some mere hits and a kiss," he teased, his hand slipping under your waistband, fingers brushing the damp fabric of the slip with deliberate slowness, making you gasp.
his ego was tinted in some words of his, twisted deeper, calling you his "eager slut" under his breath, but the high made it all feel like a thrill, your body responding despite the nagging doubt in the back of that mind.
as the music swelled, niki's fingers delved further, fully pushing aside the panties to find your slick folds, the warmth of that pussy welcoming him as he circled your clit with pressure, exploiting your sensitivity.
"so fucking wet already, you really are pathetic," he murmured, his voice dripping with that possessive edge, while his other hand gripped on your hip, holding you in place as if you‘d try to escape.
you willingly arched into his touch, the sensations overwhelming, and the rough pad of his finger sliding inside you, curling just right to hit that spot. breasts heaving with every breath, the fabric of that shirt rubbing against your sensitive skin, and though a part of you recoiled at his words, the raw atmosphere between you guys was pulling you deeper.
body trembling on the brink as he added another finger, stretching you out slowly, his talking down on you fueling the fire even more.
niki's fingers worked themselves even deeper inside her, the slow stretch igniting sparks of pleasure that radiated through your core, his thumb pressing rhythmic circles against that swollen clit to push you only closer to the edge.
"that's it, taking them like the greedy thing you are," he growled, his voice laced with venom that made your insides twist, even as that hips bucked involuntarily against his hand, chasing the overwhelming rush.
the room's heavy music throbbed in time with your pulse, the air thick with the mingled scents of sweat and weed, and you really felt every inch of his fingers.
pussy clenching around them in desperate waves, slick and as if begging for more. his free hand roamed up your body, yanking the shirt higher to expose your breasts, his eyes darkening with hunger as he pinched a nipple roughly, twisting it just enough to blur the line between pain and pleasure.
leaning down, niki's lips found the curve of you neck, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin before sucking hard, marking you with a hickey that would linger, unnecessarily long.
you gasped as his fingers curled inside you again, hitting that sweet spot that sent jolts through you limbs, body arching beneath him, torn between the intoxicating thrill and the undertone of his touch.
the hickeys bloomed across your delicate skin like promises, his mouth moving lower to your collarbone, leaving a trail of wet heat and bruises, all while his fingers pumped steadily, drawing out moans in a rhythm that felt good.
as the pleasure built to a feverish peak, your mind raced with the conflicting storm of emotions. his toxicity fueling desires, even as it was conflicted with your sense of self, the raw chemistry between you.
niki's breath was hot on your skin, his body pressing yours into the mattress, his cock straining against his sweatpants as he ground it against your thigh, whispering filthy promises of what came next.
yet beneath it all, that flicker of doubt persisted, whispering that this was more than just sex. it was a cycle of destruction you couldn't break, even as your body surrendered completely to the fire he stoked.
you’ll be stuck here forever.
