carolina laying helmetless in the snow, the white stained red from where her neural implants were ripped out. her warm blood melting the ice beneath her as the cold sucks all the warmth out of her. her suit's life support desperately trying to keep her alive as her lips go blue.

carolina realizing that project freelancer failed. realizing that she failed. realizing the director doesn't care about her anymore. maybe he never did.

carolina ruminating over her last hour on the mother of invention. betraying york. prioritizing being a good soldier above all else. giving up the lighter.

carolina losing to tex. watching the body of everything she has worked for literally crash and burn around her.

gee! i sure do love this complex female character with COMPLEX thoughts and COMPLEX feelings and COMPLEX reasons for her actions. surely the fandom wont villainize her and make her into a irredeemable monster for doing something even slightly unkind! (male character has done something a 100x worse.) looks at social media oh! well surely they wont water down her character into a single trait and/or only examine her at surface level and then proceed to misunderstand her entire personality, motives, and values! looks at social media again oh.
