I found that the shots involving Ushio making his art were some of the most visual appealing. By framing Ushio with his larger work in a way that shrinks him as a part of the image. I also felt that the opening sequence of action painting used the fly on the wall method of cinema verite very interestingly. By allowing Ushio to inhabit the frame rather than forcing the frame to follow Ushio, watching Ushio occupy that space becomes much more appealing especially as he moves from the right to the left, filling the screen with paint.

I personally love these two scenes because of the use of color and composition. In the second photo and scene, she is holding a letter and the blue lamp is shining contrasting the borders of the photo. I love the close-up shot in the first picture and the medium shot in the second but overall I love how everything in both photos seems very purposeful.

I loved the abundance of shots that highlight their relationship. I realized watching the film that there are alot of medium and close-up shots like the two photos I posted above. There also were a few tracking shots, like the scene where they are on a staircase. I really enjoyed the way in which the photos were framed. The way it was shot made it feel as if I knew cutie and his wife, it was a really familiar way of shooting. I think the director did a good job in getting the audience to connect to the story through the way that the camera movement/angles were executed.
