HOOOOOLLLLLYYYY CRRRAAAAPPP!!!!
Okay, The Revenant is by far the best movie I have seen all year! (Along with Ex Machina, but they are two totally different types of films so thereās no competition there.) The cinematography! Can we just take a second to talk about that! Oh my actual gosh! It was such a visually beautiful film! It was made so well, and all the talk about IƱƔrrituās style of directing is true, he did an amazing job. Besides the cinematography, the script was really good at keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole film! Iām pretty sure I didnāt breathe most of the time. The acting was great as well! GREAT casting job! There were soooo many of my favourite actors in this, I couldnāt believe it. And everyone did a fantastic job at pulling their weight. Domhnall Gleeson, Tom hardy, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Will Poulter were amazing! (It was nice to see Paul Anderson in this as well, I love me some Arthur Shelby. ha!) Anyways, take my word, and please do yourself a favour and see this in the theatre as soon as possible! This film will suck you in and give you a great experience throughout the whole film. Ps. This film BETTER win best cinematography at The Oscars! Plus anything else itās nominated for!

O full of scorpions, is my mind! So here I am, the day has come and I FINALLY get to watch this film! I am way to excited because if any of you follow me on my main blog, you may have noticed how long Iāve been waiting to see this. Well, you probably have also picked up on my love for Michael Fassbenderā¦. Anyways, of course his acting was amazing in this! The cast was great! I mean how many well known actors were in this?! But besides the great casting, the movie sort of fell flat for me. As much as I hate to admit it, the previews played it up and I was expecting a whole lot more. But it definitely wasnāt a bomb by any means. If you are a fan of Shakespeare (no the Leonardo Rome + Juliet doesnāt count here) then you will definitely appreciate this version of Macbeth. As previously stated, the acting was amazing! The cinematography made it visually stunning. They did a great job of creating and giving the film a dark, harsh feel to match the plot. The only thing that got a little over used was the flash-backs and flash-forwards in almost every scene. It does give a deeper insight of the scenes, but it gets a little overdone after the 6th time. Fassbender did an amazing job with his version of Macbeth, and who wouldnāt like to see him all scruffy, dirty, and wearing guy-liner throughout a film? Ha! And Marion Cotillard! Brilliant job with lady Macbeth! She made me dislike the character even more! Who doesnāt like a good wholesome story of a wife brainwashing her husband to gain power, then goes insane from watching his descent into madness? Like I said, the previews definitely made me anticipate more from this film, but it wasnāt horrible. It is a great adaptation of Macbeth that is very well acted and directed. I say give it a shot and let me know what you think of it! Phew, now I can put all my energy into anticipating the new Star Wars film on Thursday!

No, but reallyā¦ So of course I had to go see this film in the special advance release the night before it came out, because I LOVE JAMES BOND FILMS!!! Okay, okay, maybe Iām just obsessed with the Daniel Craig ones. Either way, Iām a big fan. But Spectre fell flat for me for some reason. It felt as though they just powered through this one, with barely any character development and such. Why waste all this talent? This was the one with soooo many great actors in it and they didnāt even write a script that could allow them to show their full acting skills. Why would you not let Andrew Scott go full psychopath?! Come on! Have they not seen Sherlock?! And Christoph Waltz, why would they not let him have more intense scenes? Anyways, I just donāt know why they wouldnāt put more effort into the character development to go along with their crazy actions scenes to make it feel more epic. But I canāt deny that the cinematography and soundtrack were amazing as always! And Daniel Craig did a great job for his last portrayal of James Bond. I just wish that they would have gone back to the Casino Royal days and not make this one into another love story that came out of nowhere. Oh and can we just take a second to talk about Sam Smithās opening song? I still wish they could have wrote a song similar to skyfall so that he could have given us some more of his great high notes, but of course they didnāt. I still love anything he sings, so thatās the least of my complaints. So in all, if you are a fan of this James Bond, you will enjoy this film for what it is. I definitely donāt think it is as good as Skyfall, or the previous ones, but I did still enjoy it. How could you beat such a great cast?! Iām definitely going to miss the Daniel Craig era, but I canāt wait to see what comes next.

Michael Fassbender in Slow West
Slow West, where do I begin. Ok so if you follow me on my main blog, you probably noticed that Iāve been waiting to watch this film for a while now, well the day has finally arrivedā¦ and I was a little disappointed. I say this with a heavy heart, this film was not what I expected. It was by no means a horrible film, it was good and I recommend anyone to watch it that is a fan of Michael Fassbender. His acting (as usual) is amazing and who doesnāt want to see him in a western film?! The rest of the cast was great too! But the one thing that threw me off was the fact that the director made some of the action scenes feel like I was watching a Wes Anderson film. Now I know that no one owns any type of directing style, but I mean, we all know what it mean when someone says āWes Anderson type film.ā Those sharp cuts and long pause comedy scenes are what makes it. Okay enough to with that rantā¦ Back to Slow West. It was funny and entertaining, but just not good enough to make itās way into my list of favourite films. But Iām not mad that I watched it because Michael Fassbender can do now wrong.

Omgā¦ Okay.. If you were/are a big nirvana/Kurt Cobain fan pleaaaase go watch this right now! This film was amazing! We all know Kurtās life from the media, but being able to look at it through old films, writing, and interviews makes it relatable on a more personal level for fans. This film was able to connect people to his mindset and allow us to see how he was dealing with certain issues throughout his life, and how his childhood and upbringing influenced his work. It was almost too heartbreaking to watch this, but as a fan it was worth it. Just as a warning, you will end up crying a few times.

While We're Young So, this film... It definitely isn't one of my favorites but it was good, really true actually. The film did a great job at exploring the differences of the age gap in today's society. This film follows a older couple (Stiller and Watts) going through a midlife crisis of sorts who try to hold on to their youth by becoming friends with a couple of 20-something's (Driver and Seyfried.) While the plot is somewhat predictable, it was still entertaining. I can't really say anything bad about this film, but being as I am in my 20's as well, I don't really want to watch another film about some selfish cliche hipsters who think they are the shit (pardon the language.) I mean don't we have enough of that in the real world already? There were some funny parts in this as well. Stiller has been hitting it out of the park with his latest films. Each actor played their parts so well, it was so convincing. But I can't end this without giving some credit to Adam Driver, his acting was great. Seeing his various acting abilities recently is really getting me hyped up for the new Star Wars film! (Sorry that's all that's been on my mind.) Anyways, as I already stated, this film wasn't one of my favorites, but it wasn't horrible. My Rating: 3/5
Time for a TV series reviewā¦ Parenthood! Where do I begin?! This show, I mean come on! I just had to add this to the blog because itās just so good, and it will always be one of my favorites. Now that the series is over, if you havenāt watched it yet, I suggest you binge watch it on Netflix (or somewhere online) right now! Okay, maybe donāt binge watch it if you donāt want to be crying for hours straight.(donāt say I didnāt warn you) Anyways, this show is amazing! Every character has a story line that is so emotional and real. Everyone could definitely relate to at least one character. I donāt understand how this show was so underrated. But the fans that it did have were true fans! Everyone that I met that watched it seemed just as obsessed with it as I was. The acting, along with the writing, is just amazing! I canāt think of another show that has made me cry with every episode like this. This series had a lot of family drama, but in the end they always found a way to find the light in dark times. So if you are reading this wondering what show you should watch now, definitely give this one a chance if you are looking for a good wholesome family drama with great writing and acting, you wonāt regret it!
