If life is a never ending loop of dirty dishes and laundry then that means life is a never ending loop of home cooked meals and comfy clean clothes
Something that often scared aspec people is being left out in the cold when all our friends eventually find partners and start families and it leaves us feeling so unimportant and like we always come second place.
But this...
It shows how capable of perseverance platonic love is. It only needs to be strong enough. People can love their best friends just as much as their families. And it can be beautiful. To see this as an aspec person gives me so much hope for the future, I hope rtd knows how much this finale means to so many ace and aro people
AITA for accidentally kidnapping my best friend after making her daughter transgender?
I (?M-ish) was recently reunited with my best friend (53F) after many years apart. I'm kind of a free spirit and like to travel while living out of my car. She came with me for a bit (PURELY PLATONIC), but we got to a point where I realized we were so mixed up in each other it would kill us and we had to part ways. I kind of assumed she forgot about me and kept traveling and doing my thing. During that time apart I had a bit of a gender crisis and spent a few years living as a woman, which was an amazing experience but I ended up identifying with masculinity again anyway, so I looked pretty much the same as when we separated.
So I accidentally ended up back in her orbit and learned that, while we weren't talking, she ended up settling down and raising a family, including a lovely daughter (15F-ish). Her daughter is trans, which I only mention because it's relevant to the story. It turns out that my gender fuckery may have rubbed off on my friend a little, because her daughter is EERILY similar to me and even chose a name for herself from my past. My friend was not super educated on gender stuff before we met so its likely her daughter wouldn't have realized who she was if her mother and I hadn't codependently merged into the same person for a bit on our travels. Her whole family is super supportive but her grandmother (my friend's mother) kind of blames me both for putting her daughter's life at risk during our travels and getting her granddaughter bullied. She thinks if I hadn't been involved, her granddaughter wouldn't have realized who she was until she was in a more accepting place in life I guess? She also blames me because my friend donated a TON of money to charity in my name and the whole family is now struggling financially.
Anyway, we reunited and it ended up being super sweet. We decided to go for one last mini adventure in my car/house and visit her grandfather who I also used to be close with. She and her family made me swear up and down that we were JUST going to his house and nowhere else, but then she spilled some coffee on the console and we dematerialized to a random point in spacetime :/

what angst?? here is only angels laughing and having fun creating the universe
How can David Tennant play Crowley with a straight face and not be like "💖💞💕AWW THIS IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE 💕💞💖" every time he sees Michael like this:
Honestly, HOW??
If I was him, I'd be
all the time!!
when i tell you i hate how well good omens is written
i was rewatching the job episode and when shax comes to see crowley in his car she says that a miracle "only the mightiest of archangels could've performed", happened in the bookshop. aka the miracle crowley and aziraphale performed
talk about foreshadowing. they perform a miracle only an archangel could do which leads to (both of them) being offered a position to become archangel (together kind of)
but this also means that they only have this power together so crowley rejecting the position in heaven also entails that aziraphale will be missing his other half. the half that completes him as an individual but also as an angel
my favorite genre of media is gay people vs the system™
the sentence "is it better to speak or to die?" already hurts on its own
but it's even worse when you think about it with crowley in mind. they had no choice but to speak.
they're a fallen angel and do not have the luxury of dying
not matter what happened, at some point crowley would have had to confess because it would have consumed him not to
the good omens fandom is so touch starved right now. sweetie. get off tumblr. go drink some water. go touch some grass. go read a book. wait no not that one. no stop. are you praying? no no Aziraphale will not hear you. no stop trying to summon a demon. Crowley will not appear in your room. you know what. just go to therapy.
analysing hozier songs in relation to good omens season 2, specifically i, carrion (icarian)
i kind of see this song as a two sided poem between aziraphale and crowley
all the way up to the second verse, the lyrics could be interpreted as crowley, trying to explain what has happened to him. he has just questioned god, right now he isn't fully aware of the consequences of his actions. he "feel[s] lighter than [he has] in so much time". he is liberated from the weight of contributing to the end of humanity. but he slowly realises that he is going to be cast out of heaven.
the pre-chorus goes "and though i burn, how could i fall / when i am lifted by every word you say to me?". crowley still deeply trusts god.
with the start of the second verse, aziraphale picks up the conversation. he tells crowley that he finally understands the role he played in the creation of the universe, that god is not the only one creating beauty.
the bridge brings crowley back, he doesn't have his angel wings anymore, he never will but it doesn't matter anymore. he has accepted his fall, even if he doesn't believe it is justified.
and the song ends in the most beautiful way with "if I should fall, on that day / i only pray, don't fall away from me". this sums up both crowley and aziraphale's feelings: whatever happens to them, they will be fine as long as they are together
by the way i know that these songs have absolutely no link to good omens (apart from the biblical references), i just think the similarities between the stories are really interesting
GOOD OMENS | 2x02 ● “The Clue”
DOCTOR WHO | 4x13 ● “Journey's End”
I love the paintball scene in the show, I really do. But I need to speak my truth and that is:
This scene is SO much funnier in book-verse. For real. If you haven't read it, this is one scene I wish they'd kept more of in the show.
These two idiots think they've legitimately been shot and that they are actively in the process of dying in a way that only beings that have never actually been discorporated would.
They spend literally several minutes ON THE GROUND, Crowley propped against a statue and Aziraphale literally falls on his ass into a Rhododendron bush.
Not until Crowley realizes their 'blood' is not the right color and tastes it(because of course that's what one does when they think they're bleeding out) does he consider there may be something else going on. And after which he still CRAWLS over to share this newly discovered information with Bushziraphale.
