Capitalism kills.
Republicans deregulating kills.
Anti-prevention reactionary ignorance kills.
WHEN ON PERIOD:
do not crash out
your feelings are NOT valid
do not send that text
don't kill yourself. lock in
do not act on negative emotions until at least 2 days have elapsed
If Vance isn't even a little concerned that he might have killed the pope then you know without a doubt that he's a performative fake catholic
A 12 year old Italian American girl who looked at a woman for too long on April 20th is probably more worried that she personally killed the pope than JD Vance is
This is important for everyone to see
This is apparently a hotter take than I thought but: hating on lawyers as a profession, calling them inherently dishonest etc. is politically reactionary. It discourages defendants from seeking legal counsel, puts forth the idea that it’s inherently suspicious to insist on seeing a lawyer before you answer police questioning (your constitutional right!) etc. which ultimately just benefits the state in making it easier for them to convict you. This is one of those things that “progressives” who were raised conservative often don’t realize is one of the parts of their parents’ worldview they should question more, but they should. Not only are lawyers not The Problem with “our system,” but having someone who is educated in the law whose job is to represent your interests in court — getting one regardless of your ability to pay, even! — is in fact one of the best parts of it.
I hate how all the crime shows do this as well. "Urgh, lawyers are the worst", "I hate lawyers", "People are dying and our witness is wasting time with a lawyer." It's copaganda! Fuck that. You have a right to a lawyer for a reason, use your rights!
You know who helped me when my landlord was doing some super illegal shit regarding the fair housing act? A lawyer.
You know who helped my brother when his boss stole his wages and made him work outside of the legally acceptable hours for a minor? A lawyer.
i need everyone to know that mulligan got her nails cut today and she was VERY brave and got a whole bag of dog treats for being good and letting me trim them

I hope Trump emotionally abuses Elon Musk regularly at least
been watching livestreams of US news channels lately and
1) they have a LOT of commercial breaks
2) i didn’t realize that ads for medicine were actually like this
ppl keep reblogging this and asking “well what are the medicine ads like in your country” and like…there aren’t any? It’s literally illegal to advertise prescription medicine here?
All of America: God I wish that were me
My favourite thing in the world is seeing folks act like real human beings around big celebrity personalities
i had a dream i worked in an underwater restaurant and people kept ordering ice in their drinks and then getting mad at me when it would float away. and i’d tell them beforehand that the ice would float away & they’d be like lol no that’s not how it works just give me the ice. I’m fighting customer service battles never seen before
Thinking about the Holmes story where a blind girl goes to him and is like "My fiancé is missing and he kept telling me the week leading up to his disappearance that he would always love me and come back for me,were anything to happen so I think he knew he was in trouble and I love him so much and I'm going to wait for him but I'd like to find him faster,ya know?" And Holmes figures out that it was this girl's parents to scam her out of money she was owed from an estate which she gave to them because she was still living at home, which she wouldn't be if she ever married,so her step father PRETENDED TO DATE HER for MONTHS to keep her from ever getting engaged to a real person and when Holmes finds out he confronts this man and this man is like "Well, you caught me! But it wasn't illegal:) so:)" and Holmes is like "No,but it was sickening and cruel and if she had a brother or good male friend he should post you up and whip you but she doesn't." And the man is like "No,she doesn't." And does the Victorian version of sticking his tongue out and Holmes is like "Well,I guess I'll do then!" And HE PULLS OUT HIS HUNTING WHIP.
