imagine that you’re working security for the biggest event of the year and you kick a pervert out for sexually harassing people but he manages to talk his way out of punishment. and then you go back to your job just to find out that your coworker got mugged and beaten up so badly that he has permanent amnesia. and then you have to go back to your job like nothing happened and be the security at the event and then suddenly something blocks out the moon. because the pervert from before transformed into a fucking kaiju. and then while you’re fighting the kaiju as hard as you possibly can you’re helped out by a nice guy who wants to find his son. so you take him through the city but when you find his son you realize his son works for the same people who mugged your coworker. so you attack him but the nice guy holds you back and everyone tells you that your job is evil and you realize that even though you started working security to help children you’ve become someone who attacks children. and then you’re told to keep attacking by your boss over the phone and then he has an argument over the phone with what sounds like a 12 year old girl before hanging up and then he calls back and tells you it’s ok and you can stop attacking. so you just kind of stand there with this nice guy and his son and his son falls asleep. and then a different coworker of yours runs in and attacks you and tells you you’re morally bankrupt for wanting people to live and you for real think he’s going to kill you and then two 12 year olds hit him with a tranquilizer dart. and then the 12 year olds get an idea and run off. and then out of nowhere the nice guy begs you to adopt his son and teach him how to be a security guard. and then his son turns into a tree. and then a 12 year old girl runs in saying the only way to save him is to give him amnesia but before you can give a 12 year old boy amnesia the nice guy goes “i got this” and straight up dies while you can only helplessly watch. and his son is still a tree. and then your coworker who was mugged and has amnesia starts trying to cut down the tree. and then the tree and the boy disappear. and your coworker leaves because he doesn’t recognize you anymore. and you don’t know what to think anymore or if your job is even worth it.
and then the next day your boss asks if you want to be promoted to Evil security guard. i think luluci deserves a whole sea of flans at this point.
Hiiii heeeey!!
Is anyone interested into an 18+ semi rp / hang out server for specifically WHA?
You can be an ask blog or just a private one. Like the post, reach out to me in messages or consult the stars and I shall provide a link for as long as you’re of age.

so christopher nolan drilled into an active historical site to rig a scene, dumped a bunch of plastic skeletons into the ocean with no plan to fish them out, and ruined an actual Viking ship on loan from sweden and refuses to pay for damages. all for that garbage movie.

ASH Trailer Analysis!!!
I.Animation
Let's start with the most noticeable aspect of the new series: animation. The creators said they were taking inspirations from 90s style anime and leaning more into fantasy side of Avatar, which already had me excited, but then the trailer dropped and.....
Y'all I love it so much you don't even know!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I understand why some people don't like it because it is a very different style than what we've seen before with Avatar but I kinda like that each Avatar’s story has their own unique style/theme-it's their story of the Avatar.
But I definitely think overall it's going to make for some interesting fight scenes and cinematic moments.
II. Setting
Me watching people complain about no Asian representation in Seven Havens (they're basing the world more on south Asian visuals) and claims that they're giving up on the core of the series because airbenders look weird now.
The airbending one specifically frustrates me because so many viewers seem painfully unwilling to theorize with the information we have.
We know that benders are taken once they exhibit the ability and forced into becoming guards for those in charge. Of course airbenders aren't going to look like they used to, because that culture isn't part of their training anymore. That's likely a major part of the point to really make the audience aware that the way things are is bad. I have no doubt that part of the story is going to be the new team avatar uncovering history and cultures for the various kinds of bending as they also figure out the full story of what happened to lead Korra to remaking the world.
The way people are simply taking everything at face value and getting angry at it all rather than thinking about why the creators might have made the decisions they did truly shows me how far we're falling.
special shout out to how violet looks away when she sees clem look back at her:
one of my fav theories i've seen people talk about is the idea that olruggio uses a variation of the phantasmal fireball to burn the silverwood out of qifrey. a fire that doesn't burn humans, but burns wood.
and thinking about that makes me view this panel with a lot of interest.
because why is olruggio in this panel? if you follow the flames of the phantasmal fireball, it's traveling across the panel to custas, who is also afflicted with a silverwood. it looks like custas is burning from olruggio's fireball. you can even see the smoke billowing out from the flames as the roots go wild.
it makes sense to see olly's fireball since custas is talking about who gets to decide which magic is allowed and we see olruggio talking about why he can't sell his fireball cause it's dangerous. however, we're seeing a fireball that isn't supposed to burn people take hold of custas. it's also burning custas without causing injury though so maybe that's bc that fire is going to the silverwood? olruggio will cure custas of the silverwood just like qifrey.
i hope that's what this is foreshadowing anyway bc olly burning the silverwood with his fireball is simply the coolest option.
ive been reading wha kitchen and it's all so cute and warm and fuzzy feelings and im loving how husbands are husbanding but i can't be completely happy because seeing these girls have a carefully cooked warm beautiful nutritious meal in their beautiful home with their loving dads multiple times everyday makes me think of

I’ve seen a handful of takes over the past few months that amount to “the brimmed caps are ontologically evil and if you’re sympathetic to them you don’t understand that to be a brimmed cap is to be evil” and like no I don’t think thats what shirahama is saying in the slightest with this story.
I think she has set up the world as this really ugly dichotomy of: either follow the laws of the pointed caps or you’re a brimmed cap. Like… to me Tartah didn’t choose to be a brimmed cap, he just couldn’t side with the pointed caps anymore and what else was he supposed to do? He’s a child. Custas only chose to be a brimmed cap because the choice of being a pointed cap was never an option for him, and what was he supposed to do? Stew in the knowledge that magic is a possibility for everyone with just ink and a pen, but he should never touch it because of someone else’s rules saying he wasn’t born to the right family for it?
The only other option for witches who divert from being a pointed cap is having your memories erased and being sent to adanlee, essentially losing yourself and your family/community.
I truly believe that there are kind brimmed caps (or an entirely different group (crooked/bent caps???)) in the story of witch hat that our characters haven’t interacted with because they are reclusive, maybe we’ll get to meet them in custas and tartah’s stories going forward.
To me it makes sense that the only brimmed caps we’ve met so far have been mostly evil/bad because those are the ones that are angry and violent and willing to make contact with pointed cap society in an effort to change it. If you were a chill brimmed cap healer wouldn’t you try to avoid all contact with the pointed caps for fear of losing your memories and being sent to adanlee? I certainly would.
Hey..! I love Custas..! That’s my son..! Hello tumblr..!
Just. At least know the genre when you criticize. Voltron was animated by Studio Mir (who also did Legend of Korra and iirc some of the Last Airbender) which is probably where the similarity is coming from but the plot setup is inherently and completely different from that of Voltron, and sci-fi has a massive amount of variety. Bright show with sci-fi vibes for a young audience does not equate to Voltron when Voltron is, at its core, a mech show that’s centered around outer space travel and an interplanetary setting, where the main threat to the heroes is a massive colonistic-imperialistic force that runs the universe.
Seven Havens leans much more to the fantasy side of science fiction, as the Avatar franchise always has. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, but its main challenge likely involves restoring balance between humanity and nature, and learning the history of the Avatar and the origins of Pavi and Nisha as two avatars. The only major similarity between the two shows so far is that there’s a supposed savior figure (Voltron and the Avatar) that are meant to be a savior figure and steward to humanity but this is such a staple of Western media and the defining component of the Avatar Universe that it would be ridiculous to draw comparisons between the two based solely on that. The animation style is not even remotely similar (the cover art for Seven Havens was actually FAR more similar to Voltron’s art style down to the signature diamond-shaped pupils), and at this point, neither are the outfits, which, while using a similar geometric shape and motif, look very little like Voltron’s staple outfits that are meant for an outer space setting.
It’s also fairly clear that Seven Havens is leaning much more heavily into South Asian influence here (at least that we see in the main characters and in the score), which has been relatively quiet and underrepresented in Avatar’s setting in the past. This is not the same as the show ditching all Asian influence altogether, and that would be a really weird argument to make, even though one could have concerns about them pulling back from it.
I’m not saying it’s above criticism, but please know the nuances of sci-fi in animation or even as a whole beyond 2018 Voltron discourse please.
How WHA kids got their ear pierced (plus kidfrey and kiddio)
Taken to WHA equivalent of Claires because their guardian/master did not know where else to go and has seen the ear piercing advertisement enough. Plus they get a free set with the piercing!
N/A just wanted to show this option was ignored :) All the masters care <3
Their guardian/master did it because they didn't trust anyone else to.
Ininia, Custas
Taken to Hieheart: Hieheart has no piercing himself, but has the spirit to help those who come to him (others or Oly with the kids...). He is very chipper and sweet, making it a very quick process, but he actually really hates doing it. He just can't say no.
Jujy, Tetia
Did it themselves! The good ole needle and ice cube trick because they were either too scared to ask someone else or wanted to prove they could do it themselves!
Euini, Tartah, Qifrey
Says they did it themselves but actually had it done by a trusted guardian/professional piercer.
Custas, Loronga, Olruggio
Wears clip on earrings instead without shame. Why the heck would they want to get stabbed? No thanks.
Richeh
Went to a proper piercer at a younger age.
Agott, Riliphin
Pierced by a friend who claimed to have done their own and despite their other friend heavily discouraging it, they do it. The piercer is panicking a little and the holes come out uneven, but the recipient isn't upset at all.
Coco
