It had been a particularly long day for Pat, Steven had million and one problems for him about the fucking businesses, and not even the fun part of the business. The actual legitimate bars and clubs, and honestly he couldn’t care less. If it wasn’t about territory, drug cartels or money laundering, he didn’t want to hear it. He had bigger fish to fry, what with the casino license hanging in the balance for him.
But no, after a fucking long day, he needed to unwind and found himself at one of the clubs, near a college. So sue him, he had a thing for pretty young things to take his mind off annoyances.
Sitting at the end of the bar, he nursed a neat Teeling Single Malt, the music pulsing through the veins the same way the cocaine he had snorted moments ago flowed through his body. With his leg jiggling on the bar stool impatiently, he brushed ran his fingers through his hair and sniffed, the residual granules clinging to the back of his throat as he stood up off the chair.
Turning to the crowd, he saw the slim pickings. Either his standards had risen or the talent just wasn’t there anymore. That was until he saw a group of girls sat at a booth.
Talking to the bartender who had his attention on another guest, he ordered him to hand him a magnum of prosecco as well as six glasses. Patrick was not a subtle man, but hey, it often got results.
Striding over to the booth, he grinned and placed the bottle on the table as the bartender placed the glasses down.
“It’s not a party without bubbles, ladies.” He gave the general group a wink. “Humour me?” He smirked as he opened the bottle and started pouring into the glasses.
With his mind occupied somewhere else, it gave Lexi the moment to take in his appearance. He had gorgeous dark hair that was just the right length for her to be able to run her fingers through his curls or, more preferably, tugging on them. As her eyes scanned his body, she just new that there was some glorious body hiding under that expensive suit of his. Her eyes than drifted back up to his face, her eyes outlining his strong jaw line as he turned his head to the table. A small smile rose to her lips as she turned her head back to her friends, having an idea of what was going to happen next. Lexi chatted with the girls before hearing the clunk of a bottle being place on the wooden. She looked up at him as he spoke, holding back a shiver that ran down her spine when she heard his voice. “Well I for one absolutely agree, bubbles making everything better.” she replied back when no one else spoke up. As the glasses were filled and place, Lexi took the last one and turned back to the man. “And who is the devastatingly gorgeous man that we have to thank for the bubbly?” She said as her eyes scanned up and down his body before returning to his face as she smirked up at him.
