APPLICATION (Open for adoptables only)
Hello! Are there any adoptions or applications coming up soon? Thank you!
Hello! Yes, I'm gearing up to open applications and adoptions soon - including for a few high ranks that we've had leave due to scheduling conflicts. I've been dealing with some severe health issues which have prevented me from doing much, but I fully intend on getting things on track ASAP! The blog will announce when we open up :)
OC Applications Closed!
OC Applications for new members are now closed - but adoptables are open until January!
Why pick one of our adoptables? They come with pre-established connections to our members- Spectralpaw and Twilightpaw of PondClan are the older brothers of our member, Soul's, Charcoalkit, and are raising her after their mother passed. Or Embershard of PrairieClan, who has a mate and two children - connections with three different roleplayers! Bassnettle of RidgeClan is Minktrail's father. So many opportunities to get involved in our plot - and more are being added!
(Plus, you still can bring in an OC, as long as you take an adoptable, too! Loophole, if there's a cat you're dying to use.)
Check out our application link and adoptable folder in our pinned post!
An odd group, PondClan cats are highly superstitious, dreamers, and are constantly trying to discern fate. Much of their lives are spent preparing for the next - while PrairieClan may claim to be the closest to StarClan, PondClan is much more in tune with their ancestors, always looking for signs and omens from beyond. This Clan receives the most prophecies.

In PondClan, all cats do the job of interpreting visions, normally reserved for medicine cats in the other Clans. Even the most sickly cat can be considered the greatest warrior of the Clan if they're good at seeing StarClan's signs. This Clan is highly superstitious, with beliefs that range from their territory being haunted by baleful ghosts of drowned prisoners of war, to a superstition where three is thought to be a sacred number - litters of three are even considered blessed by StarClan. The stars light these cats' pawsteps - even through the dark.
Are you interested in PondClan? Applications for your own OCs are open until December 15th - and adoptables will be available until January! Check our pinned post for the application.
Can whoever submitted an application as "pika-pika101" please reach out to Lightningdawn on Discord, or message this blog? I'm unable to send a message on Tumblr or Discord to you.

also for @clansofthemidwest !
I'm reading about the clans and it says in the document that cats becomes elders at 80 moons?
why is that? cats at 6-7 years old are still at their prime, being the equivalent of a 45yo human
I was thinking of joining but this made me very confused so I had to ask
Hello!
It's mostly to make aging feasible for the sake of the roleplay - as moons move in real time, I wanted people to have the ability to age their characters through the ranks without having to wait for actual years.
After discussing it with the fellow members, though, I think elderhood will be raised somewhere around 90-100 moons to more closely match the books, and the "usual max life span" will be bumped up as well (exact number TBA). And, of course, a cat doesn't have to retire just because they reach that age - they can stay a warrior their whole life if they choose.
Thanks for bringing it up! The worldbuilding is done by just one person, so sometimes my judgements aren't the best. I'm always willing to review something you have a concern about!
EDIT: It's been updated!
As a general rule, cats in COTM are kits when they are 0-5 moons, apprentices from 6-11 moons, warriors from 12-60 moons, senior warriors from 60-95 moons, and elders onward (though a cat is never required to retire - they can remain in their role their whole life, should they choose). Cats that die of old age will rarely exceed 135 moons, though there's always the exception - Crashingstar, leader of PrairieClan before Scorchstar, lived to 177 moons!
RidgeClan/PrairieClan Med Cats Still Needed!
As the post says, we need those two positions filled before we can begin! Normal ranks are also open - in particular, PondClan needs warriors!
See our pinned post for an application.
A daring group of cats who live in the woods on the cliffs of a state park, located along a river, RidgeClan is known for living on the edge, always chasing new challenges and laughing in the face of fate. This Clan is no place for cowards - to be a true warrior, a RidgeClan cat can show no fear. RidgeClan is full of acrobatic cats who are used to navigating and climbing the trees sprouting from the cliffs, as well as swimming. They are typically light on their paws, agile, and often covered in scars from their exploits - such marks are seen as a sign of courage from overcoming past challenges.
(Pictured above: Waxstar, Leader of RidgeClan, played by @jackrabbits)
RidgeClan loves challenges, dares and feats of bravery - to become a warrior of RidgeClan, you have to cross a rushing waterfall to prove yourself. Due to their territory encompassing cliffs, forests and a river, they are known for being jacks-of-all-trades - most RidgeClan cats can climb, sneak, and swim. Wars against this Clan can be deadly, as they strike hard and without hesitation, like a tornado touching the earth. They may receive the least amount of prophecies from StarClan, but they still remember those in the stars by telling tales of the exploits of those who have long since passed. They are the bravest, and you will know it.
Are you interested in RidgeClan? Find out more about it in the navigation link in our pinned post - and check out the other Clans too! Applications are open for high ranks and normal ranks as well. We'd love to have you!

Medicine Cats for PrairieClan and RidgeClan (apprentices open for PondClan/BarnClan)
And, of course, regular ranks are open too! See details in our pinned post.
Hiya! I wanted to ask, for your high ranks, are your activity requirements different than a non-high-ranked oc? I would love to apply but sometimes I have weekends or work/school days that can mean I'm away for a few days at a time and I'll opt for a non high ranked OC if that's the case!
Hey there!
Nope, same activity requirement, which is as long as you're around at least once a month, you're good! We're all adults with lives, so don't sweat it if you're too busy for a few days. Most of our current members have jobs/school, so we all get it. :) Thanks for asking!
