Am I the only one who gets genuinely devastated everytime Buckys arm is removed/taken from him in fights?

Maybe it's cause I'm disabled myself, but I get so upset, that is his aid, he is a disabled man, that's his prosthetic, I mean sure it's made of vibranium and is super strong, but the bottom line is, that's an aid.

I just feel like the writers removing his arm every chance they can in a fight scene is sorta weird? I don't wanna say abelist cause that's a STRONG word. But it does make me kind of uncomfortable. Plus, the fact that if he doesn't have his arm, he automatically loses? Let me see him fight without his arm. He doesn't lose his abilities with the other arm or kicking and jumping.

Or, they don't take his arm at all. Maybe they take his arm and slam it into the ground caps shield style and it gets stuck?? That would be much more entertaining then just taking his arm off.

I know this is my opinion, but I think the writing regarding Buckys disability needs improvement. They've done good on the mental health, but that isn't enough. Any movie where a character has a metal limb that's stronger and cooler is still, at its core, a prosthetic aid, get it?

Anyway, rant over, let Bucky be a strong disabled man.

love House MD because House is the MAIN CHARACTER at that hospital and there's no attempt to hide this. as the viewer you are fully aware that those nurses in the elevator are just extras. the boss's entire schedule consists of yelling at him. the head of oncology would rather prescribe him controlled meds and flirt than practice oncology. his team's only desires are to fuck him and strangle him, often at the same time. every other doctor at the hospital might as well be a cardboard cutout.

the walls are glass, the better to see him through. he limps around, commits malpractice, and serves cunt.

Anyways. Y'all keep forgetting that Cuddy hired and repeatedly refused to fire malpractice Georg entirely on purpose. In order to keep her hospital on the map. In order to secure better funding and more research opportunities. She lies under oath, she threatens employees, (not just House!) she fucking. Schemes. She's nuts! She sees a complete disaster of a guy who cannot be trusted to care for himself much less vulnerable patients, who absolutely no one else will hire, and she goes. Yeah I think I can keep him under control. I think I can harness that for my benefit. And she mostly succeeds!!! House, who's never met an authority figure he didn't hate. She keeps him complacent with regular doses of petty arguments so he thinks he's fighting the man, but literally he is exactly where she wants him most of the time. Yeah House might be a feral animal, but that makes Cuddy the kind of person who keeps wild animals as pets. She's like oh yeah this is my pet tiger. When he's feeling grumpy I distract him with raw steak that I throw across the room. He thinks it's a game. Sometimes he tries to bite me lol.
