Hot take about Iron Lung

I think it was designed to be open for interpretation. I think the message it was trying to convey was intentionally vague so that it could become personalized to every viewer. The more and more I think about Iron Lung, the more and more insane I feel about it.

Mark made this movie for himself and his audience. He knows his audience is good at taking vague things and running marathons with it. I think it was done to keep discussion going even after the theatrical release. The best part is that Iron Lung starts DISCUSSIONS. People aren't talking JUST about the characters and their dynamics. People are talking about WHAT IT MEANS. And I think that was by design.

I really feel like Iron Lung was designed to be a personal experience.

I still rate 8/10 with 100% Recommendation - But things don't have to be perfect for me to feel crazy about them. In fact, I like my media obsessions to be a little bad.
