Have you read Alien Loves Predator by Bernie Hou?
Yes, completely!

No
I've never heard of it
Read it here!
"Men Aren't Better Than Women: Both Genders Are Inferior To Me" is a 1991 book by Dr. Ivo Robotnik (better known for other work). Though its primary purpose is clearly to stroke the author's own ego, it is generally regarded as a comprehensive, well-constructed, and accessible work of contemporary feminist theory, and is still commonly-cited to this day.
Most of the critical complaints have been about the tone; in a review from 2005, Professor Victoria of Spagonia University said, "The constant self-aggrandizement undercuts the idea that its subject ought to be taken seriously. Also, wasn't the 'feminist' line from the Sonic Heroes manual a mistranslation of 'womanizer'?"
In 2026, Dr. Robotnik released a new edition updated for the preceding 35 years of developments in feminism, with the subtitle changed from "Both Genders" to "All Genders."
Began deltora quest recently and was told to make my interpretations of some of the cast as I've gone through. Only through the first 2 so far. Hoping to make more detailed art later. But they really give you crumbs here, and I hear it doesn't stop

This is a really fantastic return to form for this genre of post. In recent years there's been less and less effort put into this vital aspect of internet culture, it's nice to see a return to the truly artisanal work of the late 00s.
Now THIS is what the internet exists for. I was LOCKED IN the whole time.
St. Louis, MO - Greater Than Games announced today its return to original owners, Paul Bender and Christopher Badell, marking an exciting ne

This just makes me sad.
Looks like we'd have been getting the Naturalist and Akash'thriya.
We still might! Christopher has said he is still hopeful, & both he & Adam have made it clear they are trying to continue. There's really no reason for Flat River Group to hoard the IP, so I have full faith we will see the rest of the game some day.
X-Files style paranormal investigative procedural which preserves high-stakes tension over the length of its run by keeping the same supporting cast from episode to episode, but the sexy lead duo can die at any time. Many pairs last only a single episode, especially the gratuitous celebrity guest stars.
Occasionally one of the pair will be killed off, replaced, and their replacement killed off all in the same episode. Maybe you have one or both of them killed off in the intro to the episode and half the episode is waiting for the replacements to arrive. This could be all kinds of fun
Oh, definitely â if you just consistently kill them both off at the end of each episode, the tension is gone because now it's predictable. Maybe sometimes you do a two-part investigation with the same duo throughout. Maybe you do a stretch where one of them survives for three or four episodes, but goes through multiple partners. And yes, on occasion maybe they both eat it in the first ten minutes!
Incredibly important that the initial pair die in the second episode, not the first; you can mention that their predecessors had been killed, but you need the cushioning of one story with them for the impact of their unexpected deaths to REALLY hit. That way you have shown that they won't necessarily die in any given episode, & the tone will be appropriately set for high tension, not just a sexy lead meatgrinder.
