In a tunnel that stood underneath a bridge, walked a lonely man who hummed to a forgotten tune. His tall yet slender build bore a lengthy shadow as he entered the damp tunnel, closing in on a rusty worn-down door. Effortlessly he opened the door and walked straight through, going down a long set of stairs, before he finally made it to a dimly lit floor. The space was wide yet cluttered with abandoned medical equipment, including gurneys, IV stands, and crash carts, while the floor was covered in dirt and littered with forgotten paperwork. As the stranger walked deeper in the room, towards the far right, there was a door that led to his favorite chambers. His pets.
“Where’s my girl?” His voice was low and held amusement behind each word as if he were ready to play his favorite game. The room kept silent as he walked closer and closer to what seemed to be an unconscious woman. She had laid flat on a mattress that was supported by nothing but the dirty floor all while each of her wrists and ankles were chained like an animal. Her body didn’t react to his question, merely due to the fact that she had simply lost faith in responding in general.
“Hey you know I’m just doing this to keep you safe, right? I love you,” the stranger confessed, his voice almost sounding sincere like a caring relative. His brows knitted together in concern with every word he said causing his prisoner to almost scoff aloud in response. Yet as time passed by, without hearing a word from her, the captor's mood started to shift into something dark. Something that caused her to squirm in response as soon as she heard him sigh deeply. Rushing over he weaved his fingers into her hair, squeezing a fist full into his hand as he yanked her hair in his direction with a look of possessiveness in his eyes.
“You’re mine. So respond to me. Got it?!” he barked, causing her to flinch in response. Her eyes looked at him in detestation as a hot tear ran down her cheek. If she wasn’t tied down he probably would be dead but for now, as she glanced at the drugged-out Maxie, who was lying on a medical gurney, she knew she had to follow along until she came up with something.
“Got it,” she croaked.

A depressed doctor who wishes nothing more but to die but loves to save peoples lives
It’s stupid but ironic…happy saturday guys
I’m a baby writer that uses the backbone of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ (as of late ofc) to express my creativity in writing, so when you read my WIP, it’s mostly gonna be centered around that. Even so, I do also love to write about Teen Wolf and even Supernatural. But enough said, here’s one of my pieces below:
Klaus x OC
Context: Mission didn’t go as planned and the main character, Lavender aka Lav, isn’t in the best mood. Klaus is trying to figure out a way to fix the current situation. And of course, mind you, they aren’t alone.

“You should have listened to me Klaus! This is what happens when we don’t strategize!” Lav yelled making Klaus grow impatient by the second.
“Shut up…” he mumbles, trying to think as someone else starts yelling towards another and a cycle slowly begins.
“This is why we can’t work together!” Lav continued, she could’ve noticed his rising anger but her fury in itself blinded her.
“Shut up!” He roared, quickly pinning her against the wall by her throat. Slowly he leaned his head towards her ear, listening to her somewhat racing heart. Her anger dissipated into nothingness as stubbornness started to rear its ugly head, Lav not daring to look his way. “That’s better, princess.”
I’ve realized that all of my WIP that just shriveled up like a dried plant from inspiration, I might start posting them here
Andrew Garfield: “To heal the most traumatic moment of his own life through doing it for his younger brother. Making sure that he didn’t have the same fate, there’s something cosmically beautiful about that. It meant getting a second chance at saving Gwen.”
SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME (2021) dir. Jon Watts Screenplay by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers
Utterly speechless because honestly Marvel knows what they’re doing and they made a true masterpiece.
To the tv shows that were amazing but ended:
I will keep you alive with fanfic
okay so theres an episode of whats new scooby doo where the gang goes home on valentines day, and i guess the studio really wanted to avoid the implication that daphne and fred were sleeping together because daphne and velma live together and fred lives with shaggy and scooby
but that attempt at avoiding anything risque backfired spectacularly because now it just seems like daphne and velma are a comfortably domestic couple and fred is trying to learn how to live with his boyfriends over excitable and really hungry great dane
It’s far cuter like this anyway.
OOOOOOOOOOOOH SNAP

[Posting 9/11/19] Hey, everyone! You may have seen my last donation post going around, unfortunately I have to remake the entire post because Tumblr is an amazing website and I didn't crop out my hospital bracelet last time. On 8/26/19 I was driving my girlfriend home from work. I had quit my extremely stressful sales job the Friday before and this was 3 hours after my car (2019, 4k miles) passed inspection with Uber so I could work and hopefully have a slightly less stressful job with flexible hours so I could focus on securing an apprenticeship at a tattoo parlor. Unfortunately, as I was driving down this road, an older gentleman decided that stop signs don't apply to him. He accelerated directly into my vehicle. I noticed a split second before the crash and attempted to brake and shift into lower gear. This caught my face on either the steering wheel, airbag, or lovely combination of the both of them, leaving me with an injury to my eyeball and a very fractured nose. My right (dominant) arm remained on the gearshift while the rest of me moved forward in the collision. I fractured my right elbow as a result.
Unfortunately, I was unable to afford personal injury protection or underinsured motorist protection on my car insurance. I've spoken with a lawyer who has told me that this means the maximum settlement I can get (and probably will get) from insurance is 25k. This includes what they're paying for my vehicle and my injuries. Unfortunately, my injuries have included an ambulance ride, a CT scan taken at the ER, a set of x-rays taken at the ER, numerous follow up appointments, medication, additional imaging, and now I've been informed that I need surgery to reconstruct my nose as the bones are definitely Not Where They're Supposed To Be. So now that 25k has to go to paying off my car (not worried, have GAP insurance), paying all my medical bills, getting another vehicle and making an insurance premium, compensation for time out of work, and Literally Everything That Requires Money Like Food And Shit.
I want to thank everyone who donated and shared the last post. I have a total of $500 to my name right now and I'm so so so so so grateful that everyone has helped me afford pain alternatives (I use topical and ingested CBD. I was prescribed Vicodin, but due to a family history of... severe opioid dependency I don't like to use them & they don't help with my eye ball), food, and even words of support and advice. I was planning on camming to make up the difference with bills but with an upcoming face surgery & the swelling & recovery time I'm.... not sure how that's going to go. If you have anything to spare that could help me get through this, I only have paypal, $10 is a few days worth of busses to run errands. I'm terrified about not making rent next month due to the fact that we're having a roommate change and there is now One employed person in out apartment.
I'm expecting my medical bills to far outweigh the insurance settlement. I will be making a gofundme as soon as I know what the total will be after settlement (still don't have my nose surgery scheduled). My paypal is [email protected] please please spread this around like the last post! I will be offering art for sale or beats for sale once my arm heals up and I regain my full range of motion and most of my strength.
[update 9/16/19] so insurance probably (definitely) isnt going to be able to cover the reconstructive surgery I need on my nose. Insurance won't settle before my car bill is due. I have to come up with november rent (480) car payment (370) (yes for a totalled vehicle- loan wont get paid off until insurance settles and GAP has yet to get back in touch with me) prior medical bills (130) (found out the lump on my chest isnt malignant but i still need a mammogram which quite frankly is taking a Very Back Seat on my list of things to do) I still don't have enough information to fully and accurately set up a gofundme, but it looks like i'm gonna have to delay my recovery and start camming to make ends meet until insurance settles & even then i'll still be in the negatives. Please please please continue to spread this & thank you so much to everyone who has already!
[Update 9/19/19] Surgery's tomorrow, insurance isnt covering anything, will have to see if the medicaid they set me up with in the ER will. Please spread this! I'm honestly fucking desperate at this point!
[Update 9/25/19] I'm late on almost all of my bills and desperately searching for a job. I still have no car and no income source and the $20 someone donated last 8 days ago has since run out. My new roommate has agreed to help with rent if she can, but my share is $484 I don't have and won't until I can get a job. I'm not being reimbursed for time spent out of work as I had gotten hired by uber 3 hours before the crash and don't have a base wage to set everything off of. Please please please continue to boost this, my stress level is off the shits completely right now and literally anything would help. There's barely any food in the house and my gf is having breakdowns over having to support us on her minimum wage high stress job that she wants to leave but now can't. Her GERD is getting way worse because of this. Literally anything would help.
[Update 9/27/19] thank you to literally the five people who reblogged this. I have $200 left over for rent (which is $484) and I'm still $600 behind on utilities and 2 payments behind on my credit card now literally all I'm asking is that you boost this so maybe someone who can help can see this I'm honestly about to go find another car to hit me at this point if I can't get another job. We can't afford food. We can't pay the bills. We can't afford to be evicted please please please reblog I still need to afford to go to my appointments too and pay my phone bill
you’ve gotta start romanticizing your life. you gotta start believing that your morning commute is cute and fun, that every cup of coffee is the best you’ve ever had, that even the smallest and most mundane things are exciting and new. you have to, because that’s when you start truly living. that’s when you look forward to every day.
Postal PenPals
Now look, it’s like I don’t have penpals. But I want the interesting, Ive been laying in bed for years, I miss Teen Wolf, omg Bucky Barnes is hot, food stains on my letter, type of penpal.
....is that too much to ask?
The Redemption of a Villain is a trope that is quite common in today’s fiction. The idea of second chances and the concept of everyone having a little good them is a hopeful one; some may even say idealistic. The critical feature of a redeemed villain is that they are so compelling and why we seem to gravitate towards them more than the actual heroes of our story. An example of this trope is probably Loki in the MCU. He is the main villain of the first Thor and Avengers movie, but his redemption in Thor: Dark World and Ragnarok make him one of the best and most fleshed characters in the MCU. So why should you redeem some of your villains in your story?
Why Turn Your Villain Good
One of the best parts of your Villain joining the good side rather than their original bad side is the new dynamics that form with your new hero and your original ones. You can have friendly banter about that one time they were about to kill them or threatened them with torture or whatever you want. Their old villainess ways are old jokes that are brought up in nostalgic or semimetal ways. Their new relationship and already flexible moral compass bring out some of the best dynamics. Not only do you get new relationships but you also have a super compelling character. Like I said before characters who are recently redeemed have a tone that is full of hope and sometimes it is a little scary as it shows people who are in the grey area rather than just the Black and White. Just the concept of a redeemed villain means that they have a flexible moral compass showing that people don’t have to be all good in order to be a hero. I would like to also talk about the complex inner conflict and monologue redeemed villains have. They constantly are at war with themselves and their nature. Sometimes they are a bit lost in their purpose as they aren’t a bad guy but are they a good guy? Writing about someone figuring out their place in the world is great, and the audience loves some good old conflict but what if you write this wrong?
Problems that You will Come Across When Turning Your Villain Good
Okay, so maybe your heroes don’t warm put to your reformed villain. Maybe they don’t like the idea of someone who had repeatedly tried to kill them fighting on their side. Maybe they are a little suspicious. Honestly, I would like to think that would be a reasonable response, but when you reformed your villain and showed your audience the change of heart and redemption, the audience is on their side. They think yes! Go be a good guy! But when your redeemed villain becomes a good guy, your other protagonists don’t trust them. Not at all. This can cause your audience to have a disconnect with your protagonist which is never a good idea. If the audience sides with the good guys they have a disconnect with a villain that you are trying to make another protagonist. This is when it gets hard. You want each side to be reasonable but not unrealistic. I think it is important to show both perspectives and show the apprehensiveness. I would also like to note that turning all your villains good is not a great idea. Terrible one really. This is super unrealistic. Not everyone can be swayed by the power of love and friendship. Humans or whoever your antagonist is don’t all work that way. Villains that can be redeemed have to have a particular set of traits in order for it to be realistic for them to turn away from their bad ways. Another thing not to do is making their turn to the good side like a flip of a switch; it takes all suspense and tension away from your story. All the good inner conflict and turmoil is gone! All that good stuff is thrown off a cliff. So how do I redeem a villain?
How to Redeem Your Villain
Now, I have rattled on about why and problems you will come across when redeeming your villain but I haven’t actually told you how. You have several paths that you can take when redeeming a villain, all equally good in their own way. You have a villain who becomes good on their own accord. There isn’t a big dramatic scene when they switch, but after examining their life choices, they decide that the bad side isn’t good for them. This is a path which you have to be subtle; you must give them doubts about the bad side, questioning their happiness and their mindset. Often these characters flop between the bad side and good side. They are usually joining for their own benefit. Another path is that you have a villain who has boundaries. They have a line that they do not cross and when the other bad guys do they finally see what damage that they have caused and decide to change their path. Unlike the other path, it wasn’t their choice to change; they were pushed to change. This path may be a bit cliché. It probably happens in media that is aimed for younger audiences but this is a path which they have a talk, either willingly or unwillingly with the protagonist and they change sides from the power of friendship. This is quite simplified, but it still is a compelling path. Another way your villain could be redeemed is that they have a big heroic sacrifice in a big dramatic scene where they declare their loyalty to the protagonist. This usually ends with them dying afterwards. An example of this is Darth Vader in Star Wars.
Subverting this Trope
This trope is easily subverted. There are three different subversions that I can come up with that could shock your audiences completely. Was Evil All Along Maybe you didn’t redeem your villain maybe it all was a distraction while they complete their mission for the bad guys. Okay, this is a bit of a downer because you have gotten your audience and your other characters to warm up to this antagonist and they stab everyone in the back. This is good for shock value. Are Conflicted Even Though They Are on the Good Side This could be their old self threatening to take over again or a simple questioning of their lives like they did before. They may even go to the bad side. Honestly, I really don’t like this subversion as it can become quite messy. Tricked You All Your reformed villain goes to the bad side again. They do something truly awful to be accepted, and they are. Actually, they become the puppet-master tricking everyone for their own benefit or agenda.
Extra Notes
Wow this was long. Super Long. There is just so much to say about this trope. I was actually conflicted on whether to make this a character or trope talk but ultimately decided trope talk. I hope this was helpful! Please talk to me about any reformed villains that you love!
A fucking bop guyss
How to do well in a class taught by a crappy teacher
We’ve all been there at some point, and it especially sucks if you’re interested in the subject. Sorry this is long but I really hope it helps!
These are some things that bad teachers have in common, in my experience.
Qualities of a crappy teacher
relies entirely on videos to teach lessons
rarely, if ever, gives notes
doesn’t give reviews for tests either or any clues as to what is actually on the test
if they do give notes, they are disorganized, scrappy, and ultimately meaningless
doesn’t give straight answers when asked questions / answers questions with questions that don’t even make sense
loses your homework/essays all the time
they are genuinely surprised when their students actually do well
tells students not to study a certain thing because it won’t be on the test. Then it’s on the test and you’re screwed.
when showing how to do a problem, they only do the easiest examples ever. Honestly. You would be blessed to get a problem that easy on the actual assignment, where there are now super complicated problems that you have no idea how to do!
the homework assignments they give don’t help you understand the lesson better, it’s just a bunch of busy work.
they hand out a sheet, no explanation whatsoever, and say “alright. go do this” what? Go do what? Rip out my hair? I don’t even know what stoichiometry is and now I have 55 minutes to do it. Fabulous.
if someone does something wrong, the teacher just makes them do it over again and again, without helping the student understand or explaining anything
they hand back your tests five decades after you actually took it. What was the test even on? Same deal with homework and worksheets
They often have a condescending behavior towards students and make students feel stupid when they get something wrong or ask questions
Now that you’ve verified that you indeed have a crappy teacher, here are some tips to actually do well in their class. Impossible? Nope. But it will take more effort to get a good grade in this class and understand the material because you are now both the teacher and the student. (Sorry I talk about Khan Academy a lot, but at the same time, not that sorry because it’s a life saver).
Teach yourself lesson by lesson. If they won’t, you will. Make sure that you are learning the right material, so that you can ace your quizzes/ tests. Yes, it takes time, but it will be worth it once you can finally understand the class, I promise. You can teach yourself by relying on other sources to learn the material, such as the textbook you already have for the class, Khan Academy, and other online resources and study aids.
Don’t rely only on their notes, study materials, or worksheets to study off of or understand the material. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use them, you should definitely pay attention to them, as it might give you a clue as to what is on the test. However, you should probably invest some time into making your own notes and study materials outside of class, whether the material is from your class textbook or online resources.
Khan Academy!!! (It’s completely free and amazing) I honestly can not stress how many times Khan Academy has saved my life and my grades, especially in math and science subjects. If there’s a lesson (or, let’s be honest, an entire class) that you’re having difficulty understanding, just go to KA and find the lesson and they will have videos that take you through it step-by-step. Also, you can pause and rewind the videos if you need to understand something better (unlike crappy teachers) and they do plenty of examples (unlike crappy teachers). I swear I’m not sponsored by them or anything, it’s just a life saver! You can take classes on there in your free time too. For example, I couldn’t fit a personal finance class into my school schedule, so I’m taking it on KA.
Use online sites and resources to help you understand the material. Quizlet is an app for creating sets of flashcards. In my opinion, they are way more helpful than notecards, because they have games using the terms you put in and different methods of studying the material (by spelling, term, definition, etc). Duolingo is great for learning languages and maintaining your vocabulary in a language you are taking in school. You can use SparkNotes to better understand literature and poetry (they also have great studying/ test prep materials). Shmoop is another great resource for poetry. Khan Academy has lessons on math, science, art, music, history, and economics. The Purdue OWL is a life saver when it comes to writing essays; it has everything you need to know about grammar, writing techniques, format (especially MLA format), and mechanics. Basically, it has all the info your crappy teacher failed to give you.
STUDY. Good teachers go over the material enough to ensure that their students understand the material and they make sure the students are familiar with it. They will also usually go over the same materials in different ways, so that students with different learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) can benefit. Crappy teachers? Not so much. Therefore, the material is not ingrained in your mind, so you need to work harder than in other classes to familiarize yourself with the material and make sure you understand it enough to recall the information and be tested on it.
Practice what you’ve learned. Try to find practice quizzes and tests online on the subject and material you are learning. Sometimes there will be mini quizzes at the end of chapters in class textbook. Also, some of the online resources above have quizzes on the specific material.
Talk/ study with other people who are taking the same course or people you know who have taken the class in the past. If your friend is taking the same class as you but they have a different teacher, study with them and ask them for help and notes. If you know someone who has taken the class a previous semester or year, as them for help with the material and advice on tests and passing the class with a decent grade. You can also study with other people in your class, because it is likely that they are in the same position as you and you can all help each other out.
Good luck in your class and thanks for reading, I hope this helps somehow!
when mental illness affects your studies
all of us mentally ill students finally reach a point where we think it’s so, so hard that we are unable to keep going, keep studying, keep living like this. I have reached that point again recently, but this time reached out for help, and am now trying to learn how to function at school now that I’ve come to terms with my illness. so, I thought I could share some advice based on my own experience.
to you who are now struggling, please don’t give up. do just that. you can overcome this and that is a fact.
-
for the love of God, tell your teachers.
sadly, deadlines don’t really care if you’re currently at your lowest point or just happen to be ‘in shape’ for completing assignments – you have to hand them in on This Day, period. But sometimes you feel so bad that you are either completely unable to finish that one essay or end up forcing yourself to write it and do it while gritting your teeth and crying like I did with my History essay earlier this year. when receiving feedback from my teacher (negative, of course, because the essay was utter shite), I wanted to answer her question why it was SO bad with ‘I am just very, very sick’ and ‘Please don’t think I’m not ambitious or hardworking anymore, I was doing my very best to deliver this and I’m sorry it’s bad’… but I didn’t. I was too afraid that she would think I was lying and too lazy to write a good essay, and that she wouldn’t understand. A few months later, my headteacher and I had a conversation during which she asked me if she should tell my teachers about what I’m going through, and never before in my life have I felt as relieved as in that moment when I was saying ‘Yes, please’.
not having to worry about what your teachers are going to think about the actions caused by your illness can be life-saving. If you think they won’t understand your struggle, you’re probably wrong – you are not the first and only student suffering from depression, anxiety or other mental illness; they have met many like you in the past and know exactly how to act to take some weight off your shoulders, and trust me, they will do everything they can to make it easier for you.
change is good (really)
if you think there is no way out of your situation, stop for a minute, talk to someone, and change whatever you can, even if there’s only a tiny, tiny chance it will make you feel better and take some weight off your shoulders.
i thought I was stuck with Computer Science on Higher Level – although I try my hardest to understand what it’s about, I get grades below average and am really disappointed in myself. It became one of my biggest struggles, and I’m not even planning to become a programmist… It has been making my depression worse for a whole year, but I didn’t do anything to change it, just kept wishing I had picked Biology last year. I mentioned it during a conversation with a trusted teacher and she thought of a solution, asking me if I wanted to change my Language A level to Higher and then take up Biology on SL. And I was like ?? Life-changing?? Of course, I will have to study hard during the summer holidays to catch up with a year worth of material, but I’m more than willing to do that if it means not having to hear about Computer Science ever again. and once again, so much weight off my shoulders. Why I haven’t even thought of making that change before is a topic for another discussion, but my point here is, go make that change if you can. If there is another door, open it. Although it’s scary, it’s definitely worth it.
don’t suit your goals, make your goals suit you
one thing really hard to accept is that an accomplishment for you, a mentally ill student, might be different than an accomplishment for a healthy student. For you, passing this class alone may be a goal, not necessarily with the highest marks, while others strive for straight A’s. You have to understand that, in order not to add more to your worries, you need to have a realistic approach. For me, it was the hardest part, because I’m usually really ambitious and have a tendency to set the bar too high or compare myself to others. But what I needed to realise was that others are not ill, and I am, and if an achievement for me is something that they do effortlessly, there is nothing to be ashamed of. I am the sick me and they are the healthy them, and that is fine.
find a good therapist
therapy, carried out well, can save your life, and I’m sure you already know that (because everyone keeps repeating that, literally everywhere, and it’s becoming highly annoying). I hadn’t realised that, though, until I experienced it myself. I have been suffering for almost two years before I finally scared myself so much that I needed to find a therapist as soon as possible, as I realised I was slowly becoming dangerous to myself and therefore people close to me. I was lucky enough to find a good specialist right away, who quickly diagnosed me, sent to a psychiatrist that prescribed me medicine, and continued therapy with me. But before I found this one, I had been to three others who did not understand me at all. I stopped searching, which was a mistake – please learn from my experience and don’t do that! If you can feel that the therapist you found isn’t right for you, look for someone else. Just don’t give up, because therapy really is important. You need to know that you can get out of this, and you need someone who will guide you and help you overcome whatever you’re going through.
How To Get A Job Fast As Hell
@owenabbott
Apply to a job, wait (1) day, then call. Give them your first and last name. Tell them you submitted an application and that you’re very motivated to find [Enter field name] work. Let the conversation lead you wherever it takes. Be very polite. Say” thank you for your time, I’ll be looking forward to hearing back from you.” Rinse, repeat. This is to force them to be looking out for your application.
When you get to the interview, shake their hand firmly, tell them your first and last name.
Describe your experiences as “ two years transcription and data entry” if you have a desk job interview and “ [however many years] costumer service, retail and stock” for your retail jobs.
Don’t use job “ buzz words” I stg they hear them all day. Say things like, “ I’m detail oriented and am very good at taking instruction.” “ I would like to work for a company with integrity and I feel that [ company name] would be a good fit”
When they ask you if you have “reliable transportation” say YES. don’t tell them what kind of transportation, just say yes. (if you don’t do this, you wont get the job , I’m telling you right now).
Research the company. Know what they do, why they do it, how OLD the company is. WHERE it was founded, and what kind of position you’re intending to apply for.
When they ask you “ give us a situation where you had to blah blah blah” Make one the fuck up. Make yourself sound good as hell, and like you put your company’s needs slightly above the customer’s needs, but make the customer happy.
If they ask you about being outgoing, Say you “like to focus on your work so you can concentrate on doing things right” (which buys you out of having to act friendly all the time)
Questions for after the interview:
1. Does this position offer upward mobility?
2. Do you enjoy working for the company? (if you’re not interviewing for a temp agency who will send you anywhere)
Then, shake their hand, Ask them to repeat their name (REMEMBER THIS) say thank you for your time, wish them a nice day and leave. write their name down outside if you have to, just remember the fuck out of it.
AFTER your interview, send a card directed to the name of the person who interviewed you (I’ll give you them) that says “Thank you for the interview, I appreciate the opportunity. have a great day” This shows that you have an understanding of professionalism, and will have them thinking of you kindly (or at least remembering you) when they’re shuffling through the choices.
DO NOT tell them you just moved to the city over the phone. In person, tell them you just moved to the city. Make it sound like the only reason you need a job is because you moved. Not because you’re desperate.
