Check ins are mandatory. You'll be informed of check in dates on the sign up form as well as your assignment email. There will also be follow up messages in case the email was missed. You do not need to be finished with your work at the time of the check in, simply affirming that you will finish in time is what we ask. Lack of response to a check in will bar you from participation in the next exchange.
If you responded to the check in that you will post on time but have failed to meet the posting deadline, without communicating why, you will be barred from participating in the next exchange
Pitch hitters will have 10 days after the posting date to work on filling prompts
Summary: A year after the war, one that ended with the Republic rebuilding and the clone army downsizing, Rex and Cody find themselves both missing their other half, and find their way back to each other again.
Written for the Clone Summer Gift Exchange for @preludianstaves
Notes: Gift for @liltardis for @clone-exchange . Sorry it's late!

[ih-rey-sher]
noun.
the act of removing, deleting, or completely destroying something written, recorded, or remembered.
Snippet: His mark is of a crosshair of a rifle, the same crosshair Hunter tattooed over Crosshair's eye three days ago. An exact match. Soulmarks represent a soulmate. It does not take a single second, no hesitation, for him to put two and two together.
X_SNIPER_X: She has come over almost every day for the past week
Havoc1: The war is over for a WEEK and you find yourself a girlfriend!
—
NotAPirate: Tech, why don’t you just tell them?
TechnicallyRight: I do not need to, they will figure it out.
NotAPirate: Do you really think your brothers will figure it out?
TechnicallyRight: They will eventually.
NotAPirate: You know that you told them that we are friends, when we ARE actually together?
—
OverWorked: The war is over boys.
KarkingMenace: I think I'm going to cry.
Echoooooo: Buir, what do we do now?
OverWorked: We’ll figure it out ad’ika.
Echoooooo: Where will we go? What will we do if we're not soldiers?
OverWorked: Cody is working on that ad’ika. We will have a home soon. As far as what we’ll do, we will protect our brothers and build a life for us.
KarkingMenace: Buir, can we say with you?
OverWorked: Of course, you boys can. You are my ad’ike, my kids, I would not want to be without either of you.
—
Vod’ika: Echo and Fives called me Buir!
Ori’vod: Well you are there Buir.
Vod’ika: Yes I know that, but why did they wait so long to say it?!
Ori’vod: I do not know Rex’ika, maybe they were afraid. You’d have to ask them.
Vod’ika: They want to stay with me…. I want to cry now.
Ori’vod: I love you Rex’ika, go be with them. I don’t need you for anything, me and Obi-wan have this for now.
Vod’ika: Thank you Codes!
—
Kote: Rex just told me that his domino twins just called him Buir for the first time.
17Buir: Well about time, those two look up to him.
Kote: He knows that, Buir. He is just confused as to why it took so long for them to say it.
17Buir: How is your search for a home going?
Kote: Going slow, the Jedi are helping where they can. Obi-wan has given me a few places.
17Buir: Good, I know Colt is helping Shaak with the littles.
Kote: That’s good to know.
—
Fox: Cody are we done answering to these pigheaded fools?
Cody: Almost, when I have a home for us then yes.
Fox: UGH!
Cody: Why?
Fox: You are not going to like this….
—
Sunshine: I need your help with something cyare.
Obi: What is it, my dear?
Sunshine: How can I take the guard and the rest of us off Triple zero?
Obi: What happened?
Sunshine: Fox told me something’s….
—
Fox: @Cody @Rex @Wolffe Come get your men out of my drunk tank!
Cody: Hahahahaha, I am busy at the moment
Fox: I don’t care, come get them!
Rex: What did they do?
Fox: Why don’t you ask them when you get here!
Wolffe: OH Fox is pissed, haha
Fox: COME AND GET YOUR MEN OUT OF MY DRUNK TANK NOW!!!
Cody: On my way!
Rex: On my way as well.
Wolffe: OMY
—
Kote: Can you come to Triple zero?
17Buir: Why?
Kote: He is not letting us help him.
17Buir: Help him how?
Kote: It’s the Senators
17Buir: Say no more I’ll be there.
Kote: I’m working on getting the guard off there as soon as possible, I have Obi-wan helping me.
17Buir: Good, I will come and help Fox and the guard, until you can get them off there. I will get the information I need from Fox.
Kote: Thank you, Buir!
—
17Buir: I’m on my way to Triple zero, Fox’ika
Fox’ika: Why?
17Buir: Kote asked me to.
Fox’ika: What?! I don’t need you to come here!
17Buir: Fox’ika, Kote said something about Senators?
Fox’ika: What did he tell you?
17Buir: Nothing, just said Senator’s and didn’t say anything else. I told him I would get from you.
Fox’ika: I’ll tell you when you get here.
17Buir: Ok, ad’ika. I’ll be there in a few days.
—
Havoc1: Tech were you ever going to tell us you have a girlfriend.
TechnicallyRight: I thought it was obvious. I was talking with her close to the end of the war.
X_SNIPER_X: Of course, you would think it obvious. Not all of us are as smart as you, Tech.
WreckingBall99: TECH HAS A GIRLFRIEND!!!
Havoc: When did it actually become a romantic relationship?
TechnicallyRight: A few days ago.
—
NotAPirate: You finally told them?
TechnicallyRight: Yes, I did.
—
Obi-wan: Plo, Mace I need your help!
Plo: What is it that you need Obi?
Mace: Obi-wan is this going to give me a headache?
Obi-wan: Cody asked me to find a way to get the Vod’e off Coruscant. We already know he is trying to find a planet, but something came up that is making him want to pull all Vod’e off the planet as soon as possible.
Mace: I’m going to have a headache by the end of this.
Plo: Hmm… will you be willing to share what he said?
Obi-wan: Not really, but I will say that it has to do with some Senators not being nice.
Mace: Really Obi-wan.
Plo: Has he thought about using the Venators, the ones that are here are docked at the spaceport.
Mace: The Order can also lend them our bigger ships as well.
Obi-wan: Thank you!
—
PloBuir: Wolffe’ika do you know what’s going on with the Senators
Wolffe’ika: I do not know much, Buir. Only what Cody told me and it was not pretty.
PloBuir: Ok thank you ad’ika
—
Obi: Use the Venators in the spaceport and Mace said the order will lend you our larger ships.
Sunshine: Thank you, Obi.
Obi: Your welcome, my dear. How is Fox and the guard holding up?
Sunshine: 17 Buir is here helping them, so they’re holding up.
Obi: That is good, my dear.
—
Cody: Attention All Commanders and Captains on Triple zero, including Guard! Recall all troopers to GAR spaceport!
Fox: Cody, did you find us a Home?
Cody: No, but I'm close to finding one.
Fox: Then why pull us off now?
Rex: On planet, Understood!
Cody: No one needs to go through what you and the guard go through, Fox.
Wolffe: On planet, Understood!
Ponds: On planet, Understood!
Bly: In hyperspace to Triple zero if you need extra space.
Fox: Cody where will the guard go?
Cody: There are 4 us here you and your men can go wherever you and they want.
If you haven't gotten your gift yet, it is coming! Some pitch hits are being worked on and have until the 25th to post so keep an eye out if you're still waiting.
Hiii!! Do you run a taglist for your events? I missed the announcement for this last one sadly!! You always do a great job with them and I look forward to every exchange!!
I do not, but if anyone would like to join a taglist so they don't miss out feel free to comment on this post!
Happy Clone Exchange @akingnotaprincess! I got you as my giftee!
You gave SO many good prompts, it was hard to choose! But I landed on some soft post-mission cuddles with our lovely boys Wrecker, Tech, and Echo! Wrecker takes his job as 'part of the pillow nest for his two favorite brains' very seriously— which is pretty easy because he's practically the size of both of them combined.
I do hope you like it! :] (pardon the late posting!)
Summary: The scent of the salted, thick hazy air of the beach clung to Rex's skin as he sat on the sand with his eyes closed and listened to the mingled sounds of the ocean breeze and the sound of his Vode laughing as they relaxed scattered around the area.
He had grown too eased with the safety of his batch again.
Pabu had been a location even Omega had told him about long before Hunter or Wrecker did, of the small paradise planet with a island they ended calling home.
He was able to ingore the the blue all around every way he looked. Easier to ingore as it was a bright blue, and not the dark almost black waves all clones grew use to with storms.
Truly, Crosshair thought he was putting it all behind and when they had landed, everyone had been excited. So easily swept up the life that was his batch, in the locals of Pabu that the sniper let down his guard, trusting them.
Wrecker had been spouting about his cooking skills since Hunter directed them 'home' and once planetside immediately left to prepare a feast.
Echo had always been one the few he could easily tease around with he doesn't think of who is missing, of the goggles around Omega's neck and when two tookas crawled their way up to try stealing food from the reg, Crosshair went to bicker like it was old times.
Then behind Wrecker announced meal was served and a plate was in front of Crosshair.
Immediately his stomach sank as if lead in water, like a sinking city in the ocean. Water surrounding all around and there was no way out, no one around but his thoughts and thoughts and thoughts. His mouth watered, the smell registering and his hands ached from ripping scales off bare handed, bloodied and raw filled the ache in his stomach only to come back up each time, again and again.
The eyes stared up at him, as if judging saying he did it to himself, rejected his batch, choice wrong once again, got Tech killed-
"Crosshair?"
Omega tugged his sleeve, looking up worried.
Shakingly, he picked up a fork and took at bite of a meal he knew was delicious but only tasted like blood to him.

My peice for the amazing @daidrm for @clone-exchange featuring Crosshair's first time on Pabu and his unfortunate discovery of their main dish, fish, which leads to unwanted memories of his time stranded on Kamino :))
Summary: Tup and Dogma never thought they would have survived to the end of the war, with Dogma shooting Krell and Tup’s chip going off and almost killing him.
Mando'a Translations: vod'e - brother's, M’ika - Dogma’s nickname, Ori'vod - big brother, Mirshmure'cya - Keldabe Kiss/affection/slang for headbutt
Tup could not believe this, Echo found the most perfect place away from everything. Pabu!
“Tup lets go,” Echo hollers a few feet ahead with Dogma. “You’ll both have time to sight see, but we have some where to go!”
With a deep breath he moves to catch up with them, thinking about whatever surprise Echo has in store for them.
All he said when he picked them up from the temple was that he had something planned for them and tossed some civies at them.
Now that he is with them, Echo in the middle of them with his arm slung over their shoulders, Echo guides them down to what Tup guesses is the beach.
They can hear other vod’e talking and as they round the last corner they hear everyone shout, “SURPRISE!!” and then they are being pushed and pulled into different arms with pats on the back by vod’e they know in passing, and tight hugs by vod’e they know well.
Like Jesse, “Good to see you up and about, Tup’ika” muttering as he holds the back of his neck and hugs him tight.
Like Hardcase with his over tight hugs and slightly manic laugh, he doesn’t say anything to Tup but Tup knows what ‘Case is trying to tell him anyway.
Like Kix, “How’s your head Tup’ika?” as he holds Tup’s face in between his hands.
Tup just rests his forehead to Kix’s in a mirshmure'cya, then he hugs him tight as he mummers, “I’m good, Kix. I’m good.” and Kix’s only response to that is to hold him tighter.
Like Fives, who just pulls him for a mirshmure'cya, but when Fives pulls back Tup pulls him back in and hugs him tight, Fives laughs loudly and hugs him just as tight. Before Tup lets go he whispers, “Thank you.” Fives just squeezes him tighter before letting go without saying anything, but Tup knows what he is saying.
Then there is Rex with his bright smiles and warm hugs, “I’m glad you’re here Tup’ika.” Tup holds him tight and hides his face in Rex’s neck. Rex just laughs softly and cradles the back of his head with one hand and rubs his back with the other.
—
Tup was still feeling effects of the destroyed chip and had decided to step away for a bit when Dogma found him asking if he was alright. Tup had assured his twin that he was and now they were sitting and watching their vod’e.
“I never thought we would have something like this M’ika.” He leans his head on Dogma's shoulder and Dogma wraps his arm around Tup.
“Me either, but I’m glad I can enjoy it with you and our vod’e, Tup’ika.”
After a while Echo and Fives came to join them in watching their vod’e party. Echo took a seat next to Dogma and Fives sat next to Tup. They both cuddled the vod’ike next to them and pretty soon the four of them were dozing off in the sand, knowing that they had nowhere to go now that the war was over.
—
Tup awoke to the sound of laughter that was close to him, cracking his eyes open reveals Rex standing by his head, framed by the sky.
Huh we must have ended up laying down, Tup thinks but he doesn't really care.
“Are you comfy there Tup’ika?” Rex asks softly bending down to run his hand through Tup’s hair.
Tup’s eyes close with the feeling, he just hums in answer to his ori’vod’s question.
“I’ll take that as a yes, but you guys got to get up now.” Rex says as he continues to stork Tup’s hair.
“Why?” comes the sleepy mumble of his twin as he stungles up to Echo more.
Rex chuckles as he moves his other hand to Dogma hair to do the same to him, then says “High tide is coming in and I don’t think you four would have liked to wake up wet.”
Tup can hear Echo grumble from the other side of Dogma, but can’t make it out because Echo is sitting up dislodging Dogma, who squeaks at being moved so abruptly.
“Sorry, M’ika.” Echo gently says to Dogma.
“It’s ok, ori’vod.” Dogma says as he gets up.
Tup gets up off the sand as well, nudging Fives to wake him up as he slept through them talking. “Fives, we need to move.”
When Fives doesn’t answer Tup sees Echo roll his eyes and then smirk before whacking Fives in the chest.
Fives bolts upright glaring at Echo, “What was that for?!”
“We need to move tides coming in.” Echo tells him.
“Well you didn’t need to whack me!”
“Well the next time Rex or someone else wakes us to tell us to move, and you're still asleep we’ll just leave you there.”
“Play nice boys,” Rex cuts in before they start to get into arguing.
Fives just huffs and move to get off the sand, turning to help Echo up as he does.
“What’s next?” Dogma asks, when they’re all standing.
“Dinner at our place.” Echo tells them, then starts to guide them to Echo’s and Fives home.
When they get there Tup is surprised to see Jesse, Kix and Hardcase inside and Rex following them inside as well.
—
They talk well into the night after dinner cuddled up on the floor of the Domino Twins home.
Never talking about the war, or how it might have ended if the Domino’s let Tup go. Just talking about the pranks they did or will do, about what they want to do now that they don’t have to fight.
Tup and Dogma are both still grateful of the fact that they are still alive and have each other.
