Maybe I’m wrong here, but I find this characterization of Tim both inaccurate and unappealing.

Again, I don’t have the same obsessive knowledge of Tim as I do Dick, but his entire character has been constructed in opposition to this kind of thinking.

From the moment he was introduced as a device to keep Bruce from his darker impulses, to his opposition to Jean-Paul’s brutality in Knightfall (and helping save Bane, if I’m not mistaken), to even the fact that he befriended Captain Boomerang Jr. in spite of the sins of his father, Tim should be amongst the least likely to not just allow criminals to die, but fight for letting them die.

Could some Tim stans tell me why I’m right or wrong? This rubs me the wrong way, and I have read enough Tim to know why, but my knowledge is admittedly stunted in the post-Crisis era. This just doesn’t feel right to me.
