Fanfiction I'm Working On

For those who might be curious, I'm actually dabbling in four different fanfics right now... XD Two of which are already posted on AO3, while the other two are still locked away in my backlog of works, slowly growing bigger and bigger until I deem it fully complete to feel okay in posting it.

Originally the Sonic X fic was going to be three chapters only, but I'm thinking to add a side-prologue/epilogue thing that'll follow the failed-timeline-Chris' story progression, that isn't truly tackled in the main work. Buuut, I'm looking forward to writing that fully when I get around to it~! X3

The two on AO3, are slow going but primarily because of "writer's block", but not because I don't know where I want to take the stories, but how I want them to flow to get from point A to point B. I already got 13k words in the Inuyasha fic, and 8k in the FF7/FF8 crossover fic I'm working on... and that's not even counting a scene I have written down on paper, ready to add for the FF8-dance scene. XD

The fourth work is a spur-of-the-moment thing, for Buddy Daddies. I wanted to play with an omegaverse idea that's closer to "traditional A/B/O dynamics" while also giving it my own twist (as I tend to do with omegaverse AUs). It's also almost 10k words long, and I'm beginning to think this fic will be a two-chapter thing instead of the one-shot I had originally planned to post. Whops~!

This is a doodle set I made between 2020 and 2025, but colored more recently, for a collection of an AU-idea that was inspired by a manga called Animal X. I don't really recommend reading the manga (unless you can handle Banana Fish, as it has similar dark elements to it but more along the lines of bigotry/misogyny and ancient-cultural-traditions/shock, and a lot of gore/death because dinosaur people), BUT I was inspired by certain aspects of the plot to make this AU.

The short version of the idea is; Mobians are an ancient race that have been living alongside humans the entire time, but with the ability to transform into a humanoid form to blend in for the most part, minus being super strong and having unique abilities that humans can't acquire. Each tribe is focused only on one animal species throughout the years, with most of the natives interbreeding with their own kind, which later causes issues.

Gerald Robotnik was originally creating man-made Mobians to help "purify the Mobian-gene pool", as it had become so inbred by the tribes originally trying to keep to their own species that nowadays if two of the same animal-type try to breed, there is a very high chance the mother will die from childbirth and/or the child will be born with medical issues (deformity, infertilization, stuck between Mobian-and-humanoid and/or unable to transform from one or the other, or stillborn).

GUN finds out about this project, and decide to create their own man-made WEAPON of Mobians, first by capturing Gerald and Maria, and the infant Shadow, and attempting to clone the man-made Mobian into an instant adult form, which creates the unstable Mephiles. They use his DNA as a base, however, and create the birth of the Metarex and Seedians, and even attempt to crossbreed all three species with humans--some barely a success, while others a complete failure with a loss of life on their volunteers. Through their trial-and-error, they discover that while it is possible to crossbreed humans and Mobians, the body structure for most female humans isn't hardy enough to carry most Mobian offspring to term, but male human builds are more suited. With this in mind, they create an altering drug to use on any willing male volunteer, disguising it as an innocent vitamin sample, and Chris Thorndyke unknowingly becomes one of their victims.

With the alteration to Chris' body, not only is he able to carry a Mobian child to term, he also releases a scent that attracts all male Mobians to him as a potential "fertile female" mate, which causes him to get kidnapped by Sonic, who takes him to the hedgehog tribe to become his wife. This doesn't pan out, as at this point Chris is still in the dark on what the heck happened to him, and isn't interested in becoming someone's wife, but ends up becoming friends with Sonic, Amy, and other Mobians along the way as he finds himself trying to avoid GUN capturing him--though when GUN releases Shadow into the wild to "recapture his promised-bride" with the promise to also release Maria from captive if he's successful, the two form a bond and agree to team up and rescue Maria together.

Other stuff happens in between all this chaos, along with Victor being the father of Cream, Tails rescuing Cosmos from captivity, Dave (the intern from Sonic Boom) playing a role to help keep Chris out of GUN's clutches, and Chris having Silver and Gold with Shadow... but by this point I might as well just write this as a fanfic, huh? XD

like. chris is 18. he's been through everything. he's got the lab coat, the maturity, the whole "i'm not a kid anymore" energy. and then boom, portal nonsense, science gone wrong, and he's 12 again.

and sonic doesn’t say anything at first. just walks up slow and reaches out, touches the sleeve. And i just know hes trying to picture 18-year-old chris, he would be so curious about it.

Rambling About Anime in 2026 [part 2]

So, continuing on from my previous post here... I sadly haven't watched as many as I would have liked, and partly it's due to not enjoying the set I gave myself to watch nearly as much. XD

-Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation ended up being just as enjoyable as it had started, and I really hope we get a season 2 as I want to see how this story progresses/ends. I especially want to see more interaction between the cast, and learn more about the world.

-Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter on the other hand... was a rough sit for me. At the start, it was due to feeling like I was watching two tops get it on, especially with Seiichirou being such a "blah" type character. I wanted to see him emote more, be selfish, tell us what he really wants, and not be so... neutrally accepting. Him being a workaholic was really his only character trait at the start, and it was kinda boring. It does GET BETTER, as he begins to open up and show these wants and desires, but it happens kinda late in the game, and the only thing that really kept me engaged was the plot, not the romance. It also sucked that my favorite character, Ist, is primarily just a background boy with no love interest (which is kinda his charm, really), and when the series decided to introduce a love-triangle with the main pair, my stomach literally rolled in protest. DX

Still... it's not a terrible show, and if you like a "have sex or die" trope to your story, you might like this one. It just is very slow-burn in developing anything personal outside of establishing where the main two characters stand.

-Yes, No, Or Maybe? is the next one I checked out, and boy was this a fun sit~! XD Not an episodic series but a singular film, that focuses on Kunieda Kei and his two-sided personalities that warp him mentally on wondering "Who am I really?" while also forming a friendship with an artist who forms a crush on both versions of Kei, while not knowing he's the same person. I really liked how sweet yet spicy Kei could be, depending on which role he was playing (business vs off-the-clock), and it was really the perfect pallet cleanser I needed after struggling through the previous show.

-Sasaki and Miyano, on the other hand... I'll be honest, I don't think I can watch this one and not be completely disenchanted with it. I only got through episode 1, and while the art is very nice, and it seems charming enough, but the "will they/won't they?" trope on who's actually the top/bottom in their relationship is very grating on my nerves. Especially as I did cave and look up the manga, to find out it's currently 11 volumes long and we still don't know, is just... Yeah, no thanks. I'll also be honest and state this point blank; I don't like Miyano as the bottom. I don't like uwu or super MOE-type bottoms, and Miyano is kinda two-faced and has a lot of BL-ideals I personally hate.

Sasaki, on the other hand... I love him. He's great. Perfect bottom-type for me. Unfortunately, the series seems to treat him poorly, yet put Miyano on this pedestal of "perfect cute boyo who needs protection" and I don't think I can sit through an entire series of Miyano propaganda when my boy, Sasaki, exists. XD Had the manga confirmed Sasaki was the actual bottom as it likes to tease us with, maybe I'll give it another shot, but right now... Hard pass.

-Kyou Kara Maoh! is an anime I've already watched in the past, though never fully finished it (got very close to the end, but there was a lot period on waiting for it to be translated and by the point it completed, I didn't fully remember the middle arc and would have to completely rewatch it to remember what the heck was going on, and wasn't invested at the time to sit through so many episodes to catch up). This time around, though, I'm watching it with my friend and we're halfway through season 1. So far, I still love Yuuri and Gwendal, Wolfram is a pill of a character who only has some redeeming moments but otherwise I don't understand why so many people liked him, and I wish Gunter wasn't there, but... XD At least the show still has its funny moments to be entertaining, especially with so many episodes to go through, and the OP and ED songs are bangers.

I still need to start in on Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! (a friend is watching the Live-Action version while I'll be checking out the anime, where we'll compare notes later on the differences, haha) and I was also recommended Gakuen Babysitters, which I'll be adding to my watch list. If anyone has any other suggestions on which anime to check out, I'm all ears~!

There have also been a few new BL-manga I was able to find and read in between watching anime, and if anyone is interested in my favorites so far... Let me know~! XD
