I'm not online anymore for one specific reason and it's because my country is full of real-life devils, as it always has been, and they have not only every right, but encouragement to assault, rape, beat, mutilate and kill people in the United States.
I want to be very clear that this is all happening right now because the U.S. did not string up every confederate after the Civil War. Instead, we rewarded them. And we are seeing the most present fruits of that action.
I don't know when I'll be back, but I don't have the stomach for fandom right now when this is happening. I'm sorry. I rather continue putting my energy into what I've been doing as I've been gone. Everyone stay safe.

I cannot begin to express how happy I am. I thought I could handle it, but those days where I genuinely thought he would die were devastating. Now I'm feeling a bit better now that his current treatment is working and he's eating now and (hopefully) putting on weight :)))

One thing about me, Imma cry at the end of CATFA when Steve stands in the middle of the streets surrounded by all the billboards, ads, cars, ect because that must be SO fucking confusing and jarring :( I'm crying rn even though I tried not to, but I feel so bad for Steve ☹
And the last lines of this movie being "I had a date" TALK ABOUT DEPRESSING!!!
We as a fandom do not talk enough about how almost every movie Steve is in ends with his life in shambles.
Cap 1 - loses literally everything.
Avengers 1 - the team he just found has disbanded almost immediately and he’s alone, but otherwise this is one of his least terrible endings.
Cap 2 - the organization he’d been working for and most of his coworkers turned out to be secret Nazis and he almost died while stopping them. But he has made two (2) new friends so that’s something. Also Bucky is alive but also a brainwashed and tortured assassin.
Avengers 2 - he spends most of the movie worried that there’s nothing for him in the future but fighting. The ending implies that he has accepted that there isn’t, but maybe it won’t be so bad if he’s fighting alongside friends? (whoops 4/6 of his Avengers friends have retired or fucked off to space. At least he has Sam and Nat)
Cap 3 - ends the movie as an international fugitive, Bucky’s back on ice and the Avengers are basically not a thing anymore.
Avengers 3 - he failed to save the day and half of everyone is dead, including Sam and Bucky.
Avengers 4 - his best friend (Nat) and Tony are dead. He finally get to go home to Peggy and the life he lost at the end of CATFA, but has to leave Sam and future Bucky behind. A hopeful but bittersweet ending.
Whenever you get the urge to start reading CACW Stony fix-its on ao3, ignore it. That's SATAN whispering his filthy little words in your ear. Resist and keep your peace.
Also, I can buy Pepper being incredibly into Tony (I actually think it's very in character and cute and matchy), I can buy Maya also being into Tony for a night (it makes sense if you think about it!), but in no universe do I see Christine Everheart wanting to be on IM1 Tony's roster #sawry.
