sam wilson is incredibly well adjusted which is why its so easy to ignore that he's crazy. sam wilson goes on a morning run and eats a balanced breakfast and goes to therapy. he also only talked to steve like twice before agreeing to kidnapping a government agent with the help of stolen flight technology.
I empathize with Mary Bennet but not in the flattering nerdy girl way, in the 'having failed to be popular as a teenager, I decided I was smarter and more moral and artistic then everyone anyway, and had a reflexive snobbishness that probably made me insufferable even to those who might have been sympathetic' way. Thankfully my future life and marriage wasn't determined by who I was at 15.

Steve doesn’t know how he got here.

Format Fun: So much formatting fun!
Summary: “Tony, listen to me," said Steve. "This isn’t you. You’re not a PI, you’re a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist superhero. You and everyone else who lives in the tower have all been put under a spell, and you need to come with me to break it.”
I suppose that’s what I get for saying I’ve heard it all before, thought Tony.
***
Someone's cast a spell on Avengers Tower that has changed each floor into a different kind of story, and trapped the Avengers inside. Steve mounts a rescue mission, starting with Tony Stark, PI, a noir detective who's got a thing for blonde bombshells who bring trouble to his door.
I am rereading Gideon the Ninth and one of the funniest scenes in the whole book gotta be the scene where Gideon (has never had a hot beverage in her life) knocks back half a cup of boiling tea. And then just stands there suffering in silence. Imagine being Jeannemary Chatur or someone and seeing the super cool and mysterious Shadow Cultist from the Ninth House just absolutely SHOTTING a cup of piping hot tea. and then trying to play it cool. I would lose it.

(lack of) dignity by Areiton (@areiton) (MCU | Teen And Up Audiences | 1,482 words)

Thank God Steve's good pal Tony Stark is mission control and can give very, very good instructions.
Leaping to Conclusions by Sineala (@sineala) (Marvel Adventures | Teen And Up Audiences | 42,611 words)

Tony and Steve are longtime Avengers teammates and the best of friends, and Tony's been pining away for Steve as long as he's known him. Tony knows Steve's straight, but if Steve were going to date a guy, it would be him, wouldn't it? Everyone knows that. Unfortunately, no one told Steve. And when Steve decides to keep trying online dating after the Lover's Leap fiasco, Tony is shocked and heartbroken to learn that Steve's new boyfriend is none other than... Batroc the Leaper! But for the sake of Steve's happiness, Tony must put aside his own feelings about Batroc before it costs him Steve's friendship -- or worse.
