Saw you post from ages back about head cannons you had for Heckyl, and I was wondering, do you have anymore? š
Okay. So im starting off with species HCs, bc im not the biggest fan of aliens that look completely human just to satisfy a purpose.
So, Heckyl's species is semi-aquatic. You can tell because most of them sport reptilian like tails that are made for water propulsion (think Alligator.) While webbed fingers are the dominant trait, some of his species lack them. They have thicker skin (some have some scales as well) and the ability to close their ears to prevent water (and sound,) from entering their eardrums. A specific sub-species even has slightly translucent skin due to living at extreme depths. They are also a mainly carnivorous species so they have pronounced canine teeth. They have two hearts. Both of thos hearts have four chambers but they also have a "cog-teeth" valve. Because of this second heart their circulatory and other bodily systems are almost 100% completely different than a humans. They have smaller lungs which use unidirectional breathing. They have blue blood, and only slightly unrelated, are cold-blooded. Because of their second heart, they are required to eat WAY more food than a human. While they can go longer without food, they need to eat significantly more than a human. Much like dragons, they have almost "elemental-like" abilities. These abilities are like lightning, fire, etc. They are channeled through the hands, but are actually taking the ingredients from the environment around them. This is due to the unique ways that their cells conduct energy. While they can't necessarily "run out" of this power, once the energy their cells use is dried up, they need to wait and recover their energy over multiple hours. Due to their unique cells, they also have minor shape-shifiting abilities that they can use to appear more humanoid. This uses far less of the energy than using the "elemental" abilities does. They can't change everything at once(at least one thing has to stay) so if they are shape shifted many prefer to keep their sharper teeth. They cannot change any of their inner workings and only their outward appearance. (Im sure I could have probably explained half of that better)
Anyways, on to my main Heckyl HCs:
He is Aromantic Caedsexual
He is agender & goes by he/they Pronouns
His eyes are Navy blue. He has sectoral heterochromia and that section is like the dark energem (In my AU, when rangers bond with an energem in specific their eyes change to the color of their energem. So originally Heckyl's eyes were brown, and then when he and snide were still one being they were turquoise, and then after they split they darkened into Navy)
Heckyl can see ultraviolet light! Which is actually canon
He has an old Senturian protection symbol tattooed onto his hand
He has a HUGE fucking sweet tooth.
They have Scopophobia & Merinthophobia
He built all of his ranger gear himself, and is in fact a great engineer
Is a bit of a loner until he's forcefully drug into a friendship, in which case he becomes a little menace.
After Cosmic Fury he stuck around the main universe & is great friends with Tarrick & Billy. They all are kind of a mismatched group of people who go around doing ranger stuff & cleaning up the remainder of Zedds forces.
There's like, most of them? Im just now realizing how much I developed his species in comparison to his interactions with other characters lmao (Also, sorry for the late ass response. I just now got around to checking my asks)
