I'm thinking about having Ren be aroace, like that would be really fun lol
they can't feel any of the attraction, but they still get into romantic relationships to fill the void once they tell their partner that they cannot feel any of that attraction, their partner usually has a bad reaction to it, because well-- how well do you take something like that? the person you're dating tells you that they actually can't feel any attraction to you. you're relationship was partially based on a lie. and they also have some extreme jealousy, possessiveness, and stalker-ish tenancies.
also it would be so much fun for the flowers scene with Ren falling in love platonically, and being down bad for Val platonically, be a yandere lite but platonic :] meanwhile Val falling romantically and facepalming at it. she's bi and fell for the aroace one. their relationship is going to be fun >:]
I absolutely love making my characters suffer, I get so giddy whenever I think of something new I could put them through that also fits within the story ^^

top: Rose "Frankie", currently in her season 5 form with her murder outfit and at 26 years old. in the first half, it's her after Love Potioning Max (29 y.o.) and the second image of her is after Max shows up saying he killed someone for her and she accidentally undoes the LP and Max runs away (to simplify, ofc),
middle: Levi "Aster", in the first half, currently in his season 4 form (14 y.o.) in his disguise (minus hat) after running away, getting the fire Gift from Violet, and going back and now showing it off to his father, Arthur, and the second half is afterwards him in his pajamas after being tricked into going into a magically reinforced dungeon by Arthur and RF, feeling very betrayed and angry,
bottom: Ren "Bux" (16 y.o.)(from sequel series "Behind the Obsidian"), first image is them in their normal outfit, in "girl mode", looking on at Valerie with love because she just got into a relationship with her, and the second half is them in their "Bux" outfit (minus eye mask [they're a vigilante with Val being one, too, by the name of Sharx {16 y.o.}]) in "boy mode" as he feels absolutely heartbroken by Val finding out about a deal he made with RF & thus breaking up with him

1. Dreams, Gifts, and Ghosts
Chapter 1, Sweet Dreams
We start with Princess Lavender of the kingdom Élémentaire as we see her get up and go about her day, a bit more busy than usual. It includes going for her parents' announcement to the people, reading with her brothers, Prince Arthur and Prince Oran, hiding Oran and hiding behind her fan as they meet their aunt, Queen Lily, and finally going to bed. That night though, Lavender had the most peculiar dream; her dead cousin, Princess Rose, was talking to her in a kind of rose-colored void. "Salutations, little-cousin-Lavender!" Rose started, "It's been a long time." She was still her fourteen year-old self, like she was stuck in time, and continued like nothing happened. "Right, so, I need you and Oran to find these two gems," she said as the mentioned gems appeared over her hands. "And these aren't any normal black gems, they belonged to my brother, who is currently speaking to your brother, and me," the gems disappeared as she finished the sentence. "I can't tell you everything right now, so just wait 'til tomorrow night. Until tomorrow night, little cousin!" And just like that, Lavender woke up, and her cousin was gone again.
Now we restart, but this time we follow Prince Oran as he goes through the day. Going for his parents' announcement, reading with Prince Arthur and Princess Lavender, and hiding behind Lavender as they meet their aunt, Queen Lily, and finally going to bed and having a similar dream to Lavender's; his dead cousin, Prince Valerian, talking to him in a cyan-colored void. "Hello, little cousin, Oran!" Valerian greets the confused Oran, "It's been a while," Valerian says, "Ok, so I need you and Lavender to find these gems," he stated as two black gems materialized, floating above his lifted hands, "and they're not just any normal black gems, these belonged to my sister, who is talking to your sister, and me," and as the sentence finished, the black gems disappeared. "I can't tell you everything now, so see you tomorrow. 'Til next time, Oran!" Oran woke up, and just like that, his cousin was gone again

Chapter 2, Should We?…
Now in the library, the place Lavender and Oran use to hang out and talk, "Do you think we should start trying to find the gems, or wait until tomorrow?" Lavender asked Oran, without first asking if they had even had the same dream. "I think we should start now, I mean, they belonged to our cousins, they're special," confirming that they had, in fact, had the same dream. "Okay, I have an idea on where to start…"

Lavender and Oran walk up to Lily, who is staring out a window, seemingly lost in thought. "Why, hello, Lavender and Oran," she turned to greet them, "do you need something?" "Those are our cousins' gems you're wearing," Lavender observed. "Yes… it has been hard since my children have died…" Lily said sadly and looked down "I miss them so much I wear these nearly every day…" Lily looked on the verge of tears, so Lavender and Oran decided they'd done enough searching for now and returned to the library.
"Now that we know where the gems are, should we still get them?" asked an awkward and concerned Oran. "Let's just wait for Rose and Valerian to give us the say-so," Lavender solemnly answered, she and Oran both nodded in agreement. When Lavender fell asleep that night, she returned to the rose-colored void of last night and asked "Rose, should Oran and I get the gems? I mean, your mother is wearing them and-" "-Get them" Rose interjected, "You shouldn't trust my 'mother'…" she said with absolute disdain. "Why not, though?" asked a curious and concerned Lavender. "Because she killed Valerian and I," Rose answered, leaving Lavender quiet, "She killed us because Valerian and I…" as Rose was speaking, her hair turned a glowing bright rose red, with rose red fire sparking from her flower-shaped buns "Have Gifts." Fire lit in her hands and under her feet, it seemed the fire did not burn her, as normal fire would do to a normal person (being dead already might've had something to do with it, too), and it grew until she was standing in a six-foot circle of rose red fire. "Get those gems and replace them with fakes," she said, sounding irritated at the fact her killer was able to fool everyone around her, "she won't even know," she stated confidently, and with that, came the end of Lavender's dream meeting with Rose.
Now, with Oran and Valerian "Valerian? Should Lavender and I get the gems?" asked Oran, concerned, "Your mother seems like she wants to hang on to them, and-" "-Get them," Valerian interrupted. "But why?" Oran asked, his concern growing. "Because she killed us…" Valerian answered, shocking Oran. As Valerian stood in silence, his hair and eyes started glowing cyan, "She killed us because we have magic, Gifts," he said, finally, and after, his hair and eyes started glowing a bright cyan, with glowing cyan water appearing and swirling under him and freezing into ice, with glowing cyan water vapor swirling around his hands. "Just replace those gems with fakes, she can't tell the difference" said Valerian, and with that, Oran woke up and his cousin was gone again.

Chapter 3, Farewell!
Meeting again in the back of the library, Oran starts the discussion, "So, any idea on what we could use as fakes?" "Yes," Lavender responds, "we could use two old brooches I found," she pulls out two black gem brooches. "They look perfect," Oran says, looking at them, "Now, let's swap them with the real ones," and with that, Lavender puts the brooches back in her pocket and her and Oran nod to eachother, in agreement about the plan.

After successfully swapping the gems, Lavender and Oran return to the back of the library to discuss, "So, now that we have the gems," Oran starts seriously, "what do we do with them?" he asks, seriously confused. "I think we put them on," Lavender states, serious, but a little annoyed at the question. "Okay," Oran responds, and they both pull out the gems from their pockets and put them on, Lavender being first to have hers on, being slightly impatient, with Oran having his on soon after. Suddenly, the gems start glowing so bright that they have to shut their eyes, with the gem Lavender is wearing glowing a bright purple, and the one Oran wears glowing a bright sky blue, with Lavender exclaiming "What is Happening?!" and Oran wittily (?) responding "I don't know, I'm just as blinded as you are!" After a few seconds of blinding light, it dims and then goes out, with Lavender being first to open her eyes, and noticing Oran still has his shut, even after the light is gone, she says "It's safe to open your eyes now, Iceberg," and finally, Oran slowly opens his eyes. "The gem you're wearing is blue now," Lavender points out to Oran, "And the one you're wearing is purple," Oran points out to Lavender. Abruptly, Lavender's and Oran's eyes and hair start glowing purple and blue, and in a trance-like state, they start floating off the ground, and when they're around 2-3 feet off the ground, bright and violent purple flames appear around Lavender, and sharp blue ice forms around Oran. For a few seconds, they're just floating there, with flame and ice, and they finally, slowly, descend to the floor, where the fire and ice disappear, their hair and eyes stop glowing, and where they faint and are greeted by their cousins in a joint dream. "Surprise!!" Rose and Valerian exclaim to their cousins. "Lavender," Rose says, "Oran," Valerian says, "both of you have…" Rose lets Valerian finish the sentence "The Gifts, magic powers!" "Lavender, you have the fire, smoke, lightning, and lava Gift." "Oran, you have the water (and all its forms) Gift." "And both of you, the first time you use your Gift after you turn thirteen," "Your hair and eyes will permanently turn to the color of them" Valerian continues, "Anyway, enjoy your Gifts," "And use them wisely!" Rose says, then the both of them "Farewell!" And so they wake up, still in the library. For a second, Lavender's and Oran's eyes glow when they wake up, but return to normal just as fast.

Chapter 4, The Future...
Lavender and Oran get up, both processing what just happened, when suddenly, an orb that looks like a portion of the night sky forms in front of them, and starts growing, fast. They both walk backwards away from it, then two adults fall out of the portal. In front of Lavender, on the floor, is a pale woman with dark purple hair and plum eyes, wearing all black with obsidian accessories. In front of Oran, on the floor, is a pale man with dark teal-blue hair and dark grey blue eyes, also wearing all black, but with ice accessories. The woman and man get up, each staring at who's in front of them, Lavender tries to ask, "Who ar-" "We're too late," the woman cuts in, probably talking to the man, both of them looking intensely at the gems on Lavender and Oran, and now that the woman and man are up Lavender and Oran see that the seem to have the same gems as them. "This was our last chance…" said the man, obviously very upset. "Who are you, and where did you come from?" Oran asks them, but they just keep staring at the gems on Lavender and Oran. "We are the both of you from the future," the woman, future Lavender, responds, now looking current Lavender in the eyes, "And we came to stop you two from getting those gems," future Oran finished, and the future Lavender and Oran were sucked back into the portal, likely returning to their own time. A long silence followed, in which they both contemplated what they had seen, then "First of all," Oran began, "we look really cool in the future," he said happily, "second of all, I'm worried about what's going to happen to us to make us that way," he said more seriously, "I mean, we look like drug dealers!" "I'm worried, too, Oran," Lavender started, "but let's just try to stick together." And they both nodded, in agreement.
Chapter 5, Dummies
We see now, in a different part of the library, right in front of where Lavender and Oran are, Princess "Frankie" as she saw everything that just happened. She gets a devious look on her face, but then quickly composes herself, and calmly walks into Lavender's and Oran's view, looking ever-so-innocent, but as soon as she sees the shocked faces of her siblings, her face brakes out into a grin. "So you both have some magical powers, now?" Frankie states with interest, walking closer "It'd be a shame if I were to..." her grin spreads wickedly, "Let the secret slip..." Lavender and Oran both stared in silent, pleading, shock, but then Lavender realized something, "No one would believe you unless you have evidence," to which Frankie silently contemplates, the grin stuck on her face in awkwardness until their mother, from across the library, shouts "DINNER!!"

After dinner, we see Frankie in her bedroom, upset that her siblings got the better of her, when her aunt Lily walks in to ask "What's wrong?" To which Frankie responds "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." "Please just tell me what's bothering you," Lily insists, then to get it over with, Frankie tells her "I saw Lavender's hair and eyes glow purple, and Oran's hair and eyes glow blue," Lily smirked as Frankie looked away, going on "and they floated into the air with purple fire around Lavender, and blue ice around Oran." "I believe you," Frankie looked over to Lily in surprise, "in fact, I am going to pay those two a visit," and she walked away, leaving Frankie to whisper to herself, hopeful, "She believes me..." and smile at her newfound counselor.
