people just hate children. it's a sorry state of affairs. they hate children being starved and bombed overseas. they hate children laughing and playing in the park. they hate their own kids, whom they popped out because social norms told them it was an obligate milestone for their own enrichment and not the creation of another human being whose life then takes priority over theirs. they don't want to be around children, they don't want to raise them, they are always foisting them onto someone else and no one wants to take them. they hate children even though we were all children once and most of us probably know, in some way or another, how withering it felt to be a hated child, whether it was some stranger on a bus telling us to shut up in an isolated incident or our parents resenting the fact that we existed. nothing will get better if we don't stop hating children and start seeing every child anywhere as a vulnerable citizen we ought to look out for. our society is only as healthy as the poorest, loneliest child in it.

i was going to link the post but i lost it. it was there somewhere this morning. but the gist was that aroace grace headcanons are being pushed to the side more and its very disappointing and just generally an example of what actually happens in/to the aspec community. and i add to that with DISABLED aroace grace is being pushed to the side. its been a while since ive seen a drawing of grace using mobility aids that i havent drawn myself. as a disabled aroace person who is sex-repulsed, its disheartening. i finally saw a character i could fully relate to being celebrated by EVERYONE, not just my own little corner!!!! and then a crackship appeared that was "more fun" than aroace headcanons, and then it was "more fun" to ship grace with rocky and/or adrian. the fact that i was glad that it took a couple weeks before i was shown smut art of phm really just sucks. mostly i just want to say that this is the man who thought post-coma tube gravy was better than sex and got extremely uncomfortable whenever his peers started talking about how they were fucking each other, and somehow even more uncomfortable when said peers told him they thought he was fucking stratt. and it wasnt even about the fact that it was stratt, he didnt like the idea of his peers thinking he was fucking anyone. i dont have control over what you headcanon or ship. i just miss the early days of the fandom where i got a glimpse of both disabled people and aroaces being celebrated and represented by this character. and i wish that grace and rockys friendship was enough for the allos.

To me, all characters are aroace until proven otherwise. They never explicitly, with words, bring up being attracted to a character or kiss someone onscreen? It's a bit of a stretch to assume they're allo, then, isn't it?

Actually... no. That's not enough anymore. All characters are aroace EVEN WHEN proven otherwise now. They have an unambiguous crush on another character? Lots of aroace people convince themselves they have crushes. Actively horny? Aces can have high libido. Onscreen kiss? They're just experimenting, doesn't mean anything. Could be gray maybe. Gets married and has kids? Comphet. They're confused, haven't figured themself out yet. This marriage can still be a QPR
