Some more Nexus Wins au. Ngl, I used the sanctuary idea just to have some characters to design when I'm bored but don't know what to draw lmao

So meet Ignis and Mimi, first residents of the sanctuary. Ignis was a high ranking member of Leo's army in her universe, but as Astrals became more careless in their methods of dealing with NSP beings, she started to resent her position and life in general. When she found Mimi abandoned on one of the planets they were "cleaning up", and was subsequently ordered not to help her in any way, she decided it's her sign from the universe to finally escape. She took Mimi with her and they traveled between universes in search of a safe place to stay, until someone directed them to Nexus :]

(That 'someone' is my old oc that I decided to implement into this story, but all the drawings of them are a bit outdated so can't show them yet :p)

The brain worms decided to focus on this idea for some reason, and now i just been thinking about it nonstop x]

So here's some more info!!!

At first Nexus would just keep Evelyn around while still being convinced that they need to get rid of her before they can proceed with their plans of destroying the dimension. They would slowly start engaging in more conversations with her, and at some point realize that they can't actually bring themselves to kill her again, so it's time for some change of plans. Shortly after that decision, they would accidentally refer to her as Dazzle and bring back some of her memories. She died in her sleep so she's unaware that everyone else is dead and Nexus is the killer. She just remembers that Nexus is a "bad guy". Nexus would convince her to trust them again, and promise to make her a new animatronic body to make her happy.

Of course they couldn't make it too similar to the last one she had (to avoid more memories coming back), and they also wanted it to kinda fit with their aesthetic lol.

After living alone in that pocket dimension for a while, Nexus realizes that it's not really that great to keep Evelyn isolated, AND it's pretty tough to deal with all the responsibilities of caring for a child on their own. They would consider finding a new place in some kind of normal dimension, but then they would need to constantly deal with astrals, so they quickly discard that idea. Then they consider kidnapping someone, but that's obviously an awful idea as well. Until finally they decide to steal Dark Sun's idea and make some kind of sanctuary out of their pocket dimension. They can't really make a sanctuary for other versions of themselves because there's probably not that many, so they decide to take in positive and negative astral beings that aren't that devoted to their causes, and don't want to fight for negative/positive Astrals and just want to lead a peaceful life instead. (I think at some point Nexus would be open to just take in anyone who seeks refuge after escaping their dimension, no matter if they have some star power in them or not) Obviously Nexus would make extensive background checks on everyone they would let in to make sure they won't be a danger to Evelyn.

Oh, and I think they would have more of a sibling relationship rather than that of a parent and a child :]
