Post-training, post-dinner, Hagakure braids my hair again. Three total, two on my right side and one on my left, all tucked in behind my ear. “I wish I had a bead or something to close them off with,” she moans, “that would be so pretty! Silver or gold, I think. Ah, sorry Todoroki-kun, I only have hair ties right now.”
“It’s fine,” I tell her, and touch my fingertips to the braids. Even Fuyumi-nee hadn’t used those when she’d been playing with my hair, and the indication of semi-permanency makes me smile. “I like them as is.”
