First time I try embroidery and quite happy with the result. This will become a new brooch, perhaps for a christmas present.
I made some actual wands for myself and my friend had-no-inspiration-for-a-name because we’re cosplaying as hogwarts students in October. Can’t wait!

It almost always starts out as a complete mess. And sometimes, when I don't give up, something good may become of it. Let's hope it will be the case with this one. Starting the first painting of a series...
A wedding gift card
Made a Hogwarts button with shrink foil. I'm so happy for how it turned out!
This work in progress is called 'Making my bedroom Pinterest-worthy'. I've been wanting to do this for ages :)
New upload of the picture from a while ago, this time in better quality. I'm quite proud of this one and was a bit dissapointed with the scan quality from the previous upload.
I would rather die of passion than of boredom.

I changed my Tumblr name for the better, I hope. From now on I shall be named cobalt-collateral.
I chose cobalt after cobalt blue, the remarkable blue pigment invented in 1802. It was a very useful blue pigment for oilpainting and aquarel since it’s stable over time and provides a very rich blue colour. Eventually it had to make way for the cheaper manufactered ultramarine blue.
Collateral I liked because it can be used as well in a positive and a negative way. It sounds dramatic and so adds a dramatic tone to the name. Besides, it makes for a great alliteration and I’m a sucker for rhyme. It also hints at what it means for my blog. This name will be collateral for the existence of my blog. Does that even make sense? I’m probably overthinking all of this way to much!...
Well then, welcome to my blog and have a nice time!
A card for my mum, because she’s going through a rough time and she could use a little guardian angel.
The portrait is finished!
