Trying Something New

I'm going to try something new. Instead of focusing on making art that's "new" or "unique" I'm just going to make art as me. That way it won't matter if anyone else has done it before cuz no one is better at being me than me.

#I think this will really improve my mental health too #Cuz trying to make something completely original sometimes pushes me to grow creatively #But sometimes it also squashes my freedom to express myself so #Art #Artist #Artist thoughts

My favorite response when I'm bullying myself inside my head:

*gasp* you mean I'm... not PERFECT?!?

It reminds me that the key focus isn't whether or not a particular event was actually cringey, because it doesn't matter if it was. It's okay, I'm human, and I'm allowed to make mistakes. It's not the end of the world.
