Falling onto her knees, the bloodstains her dress, hands, and mind. It is not impossible to get rid of stains, they just need a quick wash to remove the horrid terrors. But the sight of her husband headless in front of her won't simply wash away. His lifeless body, still and unmoving, lies on the ground with his head to the side. Detached and bleeding like a pig. His eyes were still open with fear and blood pouring from his open mouth. Y/N, fixated on her husband, could care less about her dress. Her eyes were wide in horror. She didn't scream. Instead, she looked at the crown that had landed beside Bakugou's decapitated head.
The land Bakugou ruled over was not filled with happy people. Only the rich showed happiness to the public. Regardless of the schemes, they had behind closed doors. The citizens of the land despised the king and disagreed with his obsession to gain more power. With that desire came wars with neighbouring nations. His attitude and mean nature didn't help with negotiations. Not only did he want so much, but he also got what he desired, and people grew to fear him. Land, wealth, resources, and a wife, he got it all with a single command. In the eyes of everyone else, he was a monster.
Y/N was quite the opposite. Kind and gentle. Carrying a heart that only wishes to love and gain love in return. And the nature of the now decapitated king, she didn't exactly receive love. People of the land question how a pure soul could be with a tyrant. Much less try to love their king. Y/N turned a blind eye to rumours about her being brainwashed or cursed. Call it naivety, but foolish gossip didn't bother the king's wife. But sure did it anger the king. He viewed Y/N as an object. Anyone to bad mouth her would no longer have a voice to do so. Maybe this was his way of showing love. But despite her effort to calm an outrageous beast, soon her own heart became corrupted.
"What now my queen?" A royal guard that was part of her coup asked from the doorway of the throne room. He equally was as bloodied and dirty as the queen. He stood proud at the sight in front of him.
"Gather everyone who still abides by former King Bakugou's ideals." Y/N stood up smoothly as she picked up the king's bloody crown. "I want them dead."
"Yes, your majesty." The guard hurried off.
"This land will be cured and replenished in the blood of yours," Y/N spoke. She carefully lifted the crown in front of her. Taking a glance at the body. "You deserve to look at your people."
She took a spear and placed Bakugou's head on top of it. More blood slipped as she did so. Covering her chest and shoulders. Y/N didn't care for it. Carrying both her husband's head and his crown, Y/N opens the doors to the balcony that held the view of the entire kingdom. Below was the coup, her supporters, and her people. Slowly, she walked confidently into the rain and in front of the crowd.
Without a word, she lifted Bakigou's head. The people below screamed and shouted in victory. Cheers and cries echoed into the valleys and grey skies. Soldiers threw their weapons down in celebration and women and children began crying while smiling. Victory has been granted.
Hearing her people, Y/N lifted the crown. Eyeing it one last time. His blood was deep in the many jewels and gems. His head shape is ingrained in its metal. His memory was forever strained with corruption. She raised it high above her head. The crowd roared louder. And at that moment, a surge of power pulsed through Y/N's veins.

The queen placed the blood-soaked crown on her head.
"Why me?", You questioned. You didn't do anything bad. At least nothing bad to your understanding. So, here you sat, in an interrogation room waiting for a Tenryo official to question you. The room was quite dim. Only a paper lamp and a painting sat with you. It looked like a poor attempt at making a small room look cozy. Like that would make a difference while being tied to a chair.
It was quiet, with nothing to do but stare at the painting or wander the endless land of the mind. "What did I do wrong". You are a low-life taking in whatever scraps were left behind by the rich clans of Inazuma. It was unfair that only the rich clans get to stay alive despite a long history of working with smaller clans to gain any reputation. Like a student working for their mentor only for them to backstab the very being that gave them rise. The smaller clans are left to rot and die out. And the Vision Hunt Decree didn't help either. Many people died fighting and many were driven insane until they couldn't handle it anymore. It felt like the world wanted you to be alone. Killing your family, and taking away your name. Hate was all that was left of you. Now, you were left alone in this selfish world.
The door slowly opened, creaking as it did. You eyed it lethargically, knowing full well that lies can flow out of your mouth like poison. You didn't care much, after all, what do you get to worry about? It's not like you had anyone waiting for you outside of these walls. You had nothing to lose. A short male came whistling in as he stared at the small file he had on you. "Strange", you thought. "So laid back." Maybe that was to be concerning but he looked quite friendly and carefree. But that thought quickly disappeared as you remembered, this is the Tenryou commission. And that distaste for higher-ranking clans started to heat up.
"Let's see, what brings you in today?", the short man said. His cheeky smile spear across his face as if he was talking to a friend, rather than a total stranger.
"I don't know you tell me." You replied, gaining a giggle from the man. His maroon hair had a small black streak in it, something you would have never noticed had he not bent over to cover his mouth. From the looks of it, he doesn't seem to take things seriously.
"You were brought in for an investigation. And I would like your help." He said as he straightens himself. Clearing his throat and dusting off his chest. "The name's Shikanoin Heizou. I am the Tenryo commissions' detective and we got a case to solve."
"Yeah, sure, like the person brought here against their will and tied to a chair will help." You smirked as sarcasm laced your words. And besides what good would you be? "Why do you need my help anyway? There are tons of other more capable people that can carry you to a solution."
"You've got quite a mouth on you, huh?" He giggled. "Looking at your records, it seems you know the outskirts of Narukami Island pretty well."
"Why not get an adventurer or a surveyor to go with you? Why me out of all people?"
"I think you'll be very useful to this case." His eyes stared into yours, laser-sharp and threatening. Like something dangerous lies beyond them. You mentally gulp under his gaze. "Now, let's get going before the trail runs cold." He stated while starting the leave the room.
"Yup, I'll be there with you in a bit."
"Oh! Sorry, forgot you were tied down. My co-workers are very rude, I'll give them a word later." He again giggled as he turned around and untied your ropes. After graciously removing your restraints, you and Heizou made it outside with some glances from the other officers. Not to mention the same officers that tied you up and watched you leave.
You debated running away. Sneaking behind a nearby store vendor to avoid any more confrontations. If anything you just wanted to get away from his annoying whistling. The tune wasn't even catchy or rhythmic. Just a lump of notes that may have sounded good if it were following the typical pattern of a song. But while looking around for a good place to hide, you noticed his glowing teal vision that resided by his hip. Its glow was enticing and beguiling. Visions were mysterious and unknown by your clan. Not many had them and if they did, their line of work found little use for them. It was quite admirable that whoever was granted one, was also granted the attention of a god. But one fact was known, visions granted power. And power was what you despised after the fate of your family.
"So, detective, were to?" You questioned nearing the edge of Inazuma City.
"You'll see when we get there!" He turned to give you a wink and a smile. You could tell he wasn't telling the whole story. But by his style of talking, you knew you wouldn't get many answers if you questioned him. So, the journey to an unknown destination was pretty quiet. Except for his whistling. In concern for your sanity, maybe talking would occupy his mouth instead.
"So, do you often do investigating with strangers?"
"No. Not really. But it sure is fun!" He answered. Quickly shushing the high pitch noise he previously made. "It is quite interesting. Human emotions and reasonings."
"Why is that?" You retorted. Even though you try to avoid any human interaction, you preferred him talking over whistling. "Are you a therapist on your off time?"
"Funny, but no. I just like messing around and seeing people's reactions!" His closed-eyed smile made you concerned for your safety. "Oh! Looks like we are here!"
The area was overgrown. It was unkept and seemed like no one has lived there in a while. Just over the hill, you could see Inazuma city and its glowing lights made the place you stood look dark. Wooden boards and debris were scattered along the property, but one house stood in the center of it all. Moss and various other plants have made their way onto the porch and through the cracks. Life thrived in an abandoned, desolate place. Heizou walked up to the building wondering about the clues he could find. But you knew this place.
"Tell me. Why are we here?"
"For the case of course!" Heizou said without turning to you, unaware of your changed demeanour.
"There is nothing here." You said in a sad tone.
"Of course there is!" He turned slowly to look at you. Your body almost looked smaller, as if hiding from something. Like a mouse in a lion's cave. Heizou found that interesting. With just his eyes, it was all he needed to know that you knew this place. You, of course, remembered your home. "The evidence is standing right in front of me."
Instantly, your body perked up. You knew you shouldn't have gone with this man. "I should've ran when I had the chance!", you thought. You met his eyes. They were filled to the brim with anticipation. Like an owl awaiting its prey. You dared not to find out where his strength lies. But at the same time, you didn't know his intentions. But your family is dead, what gain can come from something long gone from this world. Except, you still stood. Air still fills your lungs.
"Everyone that lived here has been reported dead. All but one." He walked towards you. You followed his feet movements backwards. "I'll admit, you impressed me. It took quite some time to track you down. Even after the vision hunt decree you still managed to get away from me!"
"What do you want?" Your voice was shaky as your breath quickened. A wooden plank caught your foot and you fell on your behind, earning a small squeak to slip past your lips. Before you could get up, Heizou was standing over you.
Why cryo? Out of all the things you have gone through, a vision was the last thing that you wanted. The gaze of the gods wasn't what you wanted. It was your parents.
The sky was gloomy and cold. No sun, no light And no one around. Only the rain made its prominent presence as it drenched your every being. The mountains and trees all felt towering as tears slipped from your eyes as you stared at your vision. The last thing you remember is the harsh stare of your disappointed father as you failed another exam from the Akademiya. You tried so hard in following your parent's footsteps in becoming a researcher or scholar.
After years of studying and countless sleepless nights, it wasn't enough to gain their praise. And failing the exam didn't help. It made everything worse. All you could think of was what are you going to do now? You couldn't bare to see those eyes again. The shame and disappointment in them were too much for you to handle. Much less hear their words. Your heart ached at the thought of never seeing them again. They were all you've known and the people who took care of you. Yet, they are the same people that made your life a misery.
Before ending up in the cold rain, you sat in front of your father as he yelled at you. Your face is blank and deadpanned as an unsatisfied businessman. Maybe you have finally gotten used to the many lectures or rather you got used to hiding how much it hurt to see your disappointed father's face. Either way, it didn't stop him from yelling. But an idea to make it stop came to mind and without hesitation, you stood up and walked out of your home. Slowly the screams and shouts were drowned out by the thunderous rain. Slowly the thoughts roll in.
You were now alone. Wondering about the forests of Sumeru. Heading nowhere in particular. "Where should I go?", questions upon questions filled your mind as you walked further and further away from your home. The lush green of the forest became blurry and melted into one coherent shade. It was confusing. Your mind was already a mess. Holding your ground in front of your parents was no easy task and now, everything flooded out and the waves of emotions became overwhelming. Maybe you finally snapped. Maybe this was your breaking point. Or maybe this was the first step to becoming free. The cryo vision glowed, its bright blue light standing out from the greens. You stopped.
Everything stopped. Your mind. Your movements. And even the rain seemed to slow just a little. Suddenly the realization of the vision that you held in your hand brought you back from insanity. Although, it didn't erase all the ambiguity, someone's gaze, the gods' gaze nonetheless, looked at you. And the thought of someone rewarding you. Looking at you. Paying attention to you, made you feel something indescribable. Nothing that could possibly be put into words, but this feeling felt warm and tingly inside. Maybe the thought of someone caring about you made you feel validated. Maybe you are thankful to whoever shows a slight bit of kindness. Whether it be of good intent or not. You have never met an archon. And the stories of the Tsaritsa didn't make you want to meet her. Only a fool will be ignorant to turn their heads from the actions of the Fatui. But maybe the supposedly cold-hearted archon had some sympathy.
It seemed like hours since you left your home. Maybe it has been. But you grew tired of walking and need a place to rest. As much as the abandoned treasure hoarders' tents looked, who knew if they were going to come back? It was doing to be difficult to shelter that isn't pre-build by someone else. You rarely went outside because of the hours at your desk. So your experience is as good as none. Out of desperation, you set your mind on an empty tree hollow. And it seemed like the gods has some mercy from the rain, as there was one, just up ahead in some discoloured part of the forest. The trees and grass were grey and brown. Surely, it doesn't scream danger. Upon entering the entrance to the large tree hollow, you felt tired and a sense of relief from the rain washed over you. Quickly lying down, you succumbed to sleep.
The rain had ceased by morning. And the sun was just rising in the sky. Birds chipped with no care that they might wake you up. But you were so at peace, you didn't mind. But someone in the distance saw your body and concern grew in the pits of their stomach.
Tighnari, a forest watcher in the Avidiya forest was on patrol before the sun was awake. He often cleanses the many withering zones that have been popping up more recently. But coming upon a particular withering zone he spotted you. At first, he saw your body and thought it was lifeless and many humans without visions can't handle the symptoms and side effects. Sometimes they can be deadly. Then the shine of your cryo vision put his mind at ease, but only a little. How did you end up in a withering zone? Sure, the effects of ley line energy are less severe on vision welders, but that doesn't mean they should be careless about going near such dangers. Coming closer to your body, he caught sight of your breathing. You were alive.
You felt a gloved hand on your shoulder and your body shake. It was gentle yet firm. You didn't want to wake up. This was the first morning you felt at peace. No thought of a heavy lot packed schedule or shouting parents. Just the peace of the dew-covered grass. But alas, you stored awake when the shaking didn't stop.
"5 more minutes.... please." You sleepily say. Unaware of what was skating you and whether or not it was a danger to you. Either way, you were too sleepily to care.
"You can't stay here it is too dangerous." The voice replied. Their voice was also gentle yet firm. Just like their touch. The voice sounded concerned. It wasn't forced or sarcastic. It sounded genuine. Something you've never heard before.
"Why?" You said turning slightly away to get their hand to stop shaking.
"This area has serious dangers to one's well-being. Please wake up and come with me. I'll find you a safe place to nap."
"You sound so sure of yourself. If I wake up now, it will be hard for me to fall asleep again."
"Fine, you leave me with no choice."
Suddenly this stranger lifted you by the waist with ease and hoisted you over his shoulder. Not being fully awake, you thought you saw this stranger have a tail. You went to grab it. And when your hand touched the green fur, it was soft. Surprised you retract your hand and decided to officially wake up. You shake your head and try to comprehend what situation you are currently in.
Ok, I ran away from home. I slept in a tree hollow that was in a withering zone. Whatever that is. And now this guy is carrying me?!?
"Hold on put me down! I don't know who you are!" You screamed and kicked suddenly realizing your predicament. The stranger put you down gently and had you facing him. You immediately saw his ears. Tall and fluffy. Then you saw his attire. It looked more suited for the forest than what you were wearing.
"Finally grasping reality. Well, my apologies I needed to get you out of the withering zone. My name is Tighnari. I am a forest watcher and I was on patrol when I found you. I'm also taking you to Gandharva Ville to properly examine you." Tighnari said. You took a second to process what he said.
"Examine me?!?" You suddenly feel scared. To be fair, anything with the word 'exam' was going to spark some nerves. "What for?"
"For any symptoms from the withering zone. Now, come. It seems like you are ok to walk so, we can talk on the way."
And so you did. You walked with Tighnari. The forest looked so much more beautiful under clear blue skies. The lush green was more vibrant and the trees and mountains didn't feel towering as before. Now that your mind was a bit clearer than last night, you really appreciate the view.
"How did you end up in that tree hollow?" Tighnari said after watching you take in the view. He suspected that may be the first time in the forest.
"Oh..." The memories of last night flashed back. your father's face. Your calm exit. The rain. Your cryo vision. Your tears. And your state of mind at the time. "It's a long story."
"It's a long way to Gandharva Ville. I wouldn't mind listening."
"I ran away from home."
"I see. May I ask why?"
"Short and simple of it is, I was tired of seeing my father's disappointed face. So, I left so I didn't have to see it ever again." You looked every else but in Tighnari's direction. You didn't want anyone to see you like this. So broken and fragile. "Now thinking about it, it was quite an impulsive move."
"I don't blame you," Tighnari said calmly. It surprised you. You weren't expecting that response. "I am suspecting you have nowhere else to go, am I right?"
"Correct." You said lowly and with your head down.
"You can stay with me until you get back on your feet and I can help you with your vision."
"My vision?"
"Uh, yes. That is your vision, right?" Tighnari pointed to the cryo vision that hung from your waist. Its teal blue light shimmers in the light of day. "They say that visions are given to those who share the same ideals as the archon that grants them. Although, I can't prove that to be true. Still researching that topic." Tighnari giggles at the thought of his personal research.
"That is my vision." You confirmed. "I got it last night."
"Good. I got some lessons I can teach you. In the meantime, you can stay at my place."
"Wait, really?" Shock laced your voice. No one has offered so much kindness to you in your life.
"Of course, you got nowhere to go, right? It would be rude of me to leave you in the forest which is dangerous in itself. You're also not one of those stupid adventures. Otherwise, I would've just let you go after I looked at you."
"Uh, yes. Sorry."
"No need to apologize. Besides, I got to examine you. How long were you in that withering zone?"
"All night." You shamefully admitted. After hearing his concerns for you and the mention of a withering zone being dangerous, you were fully expecting a lecture to come from Tighnari. But he just pulled out his notepad and wrote a couple of things down. You were shocked and it was shown in your facial expression.
"I'll certainly add my finding about you to the new forest guide." He giggled as he looked up to see your face. But concern bubbled after a moment. "Are you ok?"
"You're not going to lecture me?"
"No. Of course not. Even though it was dangerous, this is the first time I've seen a vision welder stay in a withering zone for a very long period. If anything, I'll be asking you questions." Tighnari smiled. "Has all your life been lectures and lessons? You are dressed in an Academiya uniform so I'm assuming that is a yes. Otherwise, you wouldn't have blindly stumbled into that withering zone if you already knew what it looked like."
"You could tell that from just looking at me." You felt seen. Similar to an open book and he could see what was inside.
"I come across many people throughout my time in the forests so I know my fair share about people. Although, new experiences are always welcomed."
You and Tighnari continue to walk to Gandharva Ville. Engaging in many other subjects during your conversation. Tighnari was right about it being a long walk, by the time you reached your destination, it was mid-day and the sun was high in the sky. Welcoming you to the Ville, you quickly got examined by smelling certain scents. It wasn't a bad examination and Tighnari asked many questions. But by the end of it, you still couldn't get over one question.
"Why did you help me?"
Tighnari's ears pricked up at the sound of your voice that had interrupted the quiet. He sat at his desk taking some notes and when you saw one of his ears twitch in your direction, you knew he was listening.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't question. I'm grateful for your aid."
"No. It's alright. From your behaviour, I realize that my actions may be unfamiliar to you. It's ok to question the unknown to get more answers. That's how research works after all." Tighnari said without turning his head. He set down his pen and made his way to you. "I know how prestigious the Academiya can be. Their expectations are high and overwhelming. Not to mention the control they have on research. Your emotions and actions are valid and I understand them. So, don't go beating yourself up now."
For a moment you felt warm inside. And that indescribable feeling rose again. But you didn't want to question this unknown because didn't need to.
Aaaa!! I really liked what you write in (Indescribable Warmth)!! So cute! .. If I may ask .. Will there be a part 2? Or that's it >~<??

The beauty of watercolour paint was that sometimes you mix right on the paper. Similar to a potter and their clay. You make the art right on the canvas. It takes more than confidence to create art with little to no mistakes, and even so, it takes more to start it.
Days seemed like the messy attempts of the girl's watercolour paintings. Nothing was perfect in her eyes, but perfection wasn't everything; the girl knew that. What troubled her the most was her life reflecting on her art: something she relatively keeps to herself. Her life resembled a mix of colours that some would think was a mistake.
Days mixed together. Like brown print, you never know what specific colours were used. And brown isn't the prettiest colour. All the colours on the canvas melt together with the help of gravity. And that gravity controls almost every direction the water goes. Controls what happens to the colours.
Days seemed incomplete. Identical to the scribbled ideas that lay on the floor of the room. She dared to start each art piece but didn't have enough strength to finish. Neither did she have enough to clean up the mess. But soon, guilt rises and tears of frustration fall onto the unfinished art. Adding more water.
Days seemed to become heavy. The stacks of textbooks and jars of paint and paintbrushes weighted on the shelves. Not only is studying draining by itself, but thinking seemed to do double. It takes more effort to think about an idea. Anything. Everything was draining. And when there is nothing in a box, you'd think it'll get lighter. That isn't how some things work.
Soon, everything had a question. Everything had a missing answer. Then, the girl got tired. She could no longer think nor move. The water was too cold now, and it seemed that the sun would never warm her enough. Even if it gave its rays for 12 hours, it didn't thaw away the coldness she felt from the night. But in the blue light of the moon, she saw her watercolour paintings. The finished. Unfinished. Ideas. Experiments. All of it.
"Turn away all you want, but as long as people put others before themselves, there will always be light,"
Y/N says as she reads the last line of dialogue from a children's storybook. It was the most popular for its smiling hero, All Might. It also held a special place in Y/N's heart. Not only was it nice to read to the children at the orphanage, but because of the hero's smile. Something about his smile gives comfort and joy to all who see him. And it was that which inspired Y/N to become a caregiver.
It wasn't God's plan for Y/N to have a strong quirk, and it definitely wasn't his plan for her to become a hero too. So, like many others, the young woman took up a career with children, children who have lost parents in villain attacks or fights.
"Read it again!" A child groaned, followed by more of the children in the room. But before any tears fell from their precious eyes, Y/N spoke in a soft tone.
"Now, if we don't get enough sleep, we might not be able to grow up and be like All Might." Y/N smiles softly, giggling as the children rush to get ready for bed. They grabbed their toothbrushed and night pyjamas as well as grabbed small conversations with each other. Y/N sat quietly, listening to the neat chaos that the kids were making. Feet stomping the clean wood floor. The chatters of the foam-filled mouths' talking. And the crickets sing as the sun slowly dips past the horizon. But when the light goes out, all that is left is what is hidden.
"Why were you out so late." A deep voice echoed through the empty and dark house. Y/N, tired enough, trudges through the darkness in hopes that she'd trip and fall on the couch. "Answer me, Y/N."
"I was at work," Y/N says, cheeks aching from smiling all day.
"Sad excuse. Tell me the truth." The voice said with more demand and remorse.
"I'm telling the truth, Bakugo."

The small café at the corner of the street seemed to stand out more than usual to Denki Kaminari. His bright hair and smile are hard to miss amongst the dim sky and clouds. Despite the gloomy weather, the boy was happy and cheery. The reason for his behaviour was because of a particular (hair colour) girl.
During the many times throughout their childhood together, his love for her grew. He can vividly remember the games of "house" they'd use to play. The game of heroes, where it was an overexaggerated game of hide-and-seek. And he relives the memories in dreams. He dreams about the sunset talks as the years go by. Now, in high school, Kaminari felt that the time was right to confess.
"Looking as electric as ever Denki-chan!" Y/N greets the smiling boy as he approaches the doors to the café.
"What can I say? It's just a part of my flattering features." He smirks.
"Somethings never change." Laughing as they enter the café, they sit by the window and order drinks and a couple of sweet treats.
"I think that I have changed." Denki retorts."
"Yeah? and what has changed? 'Cuz it's not your maturity." Y/N interrupts as a mischievous smirk forms on her face.
"What? No! I've ripened like good grapes."
"So, raisins. That's your brain."
"Oh, you didn't just use that against me! Y/N, I feel attacked. Someone get a hero!" Denki rests a hand on his forehead dramatically. A fake tear runs down his cheek as Y/n laughs more.
"If it makes you feel better, you'd be used for good wine."
"Yeah! Boost my ego that makes me feel better."
"So, why did you bring me here? We usually just hang out on the rooftop of our apartment complex. Don't get me wrong, these sweets taste amazing!"
"Shame this place is popular. I could eat there all the time! But..." The boy across the table paused. His eyes trail down the slice of cake in front of him. And his face heats up to the colour of the strawberry topping on it. Nervousness climbs up his body. Slightly shaking and hands sweaty, Denki grabs all the confidence and courage he has and opens his mouth.
"I wanted to confess. We have been friends for so long that it was hard not to fall in love with you. All those times we have spent laughing at the stars and training to become heroes, I couldn't help myself. Do you feel-"
"I'm sorry, Kaminari."
"What?"
"I want to stay as friends."
"..."
"I have to go."
As she gets up to leave, Y/N accidentally hits the table, causing the cake in front of Denki to fall.
The strawberry topping rolls across the table.

The cool light from the moon seeped through the sheer curtains in Y/N's child's room. They sleep soundly under its gentle shine, despite the noise from the floor below. Because not all the battles that heroes fight are not only against villains.
"You need to work more!" Katsuki Bakugou yelled, not caring about how loud he was. His face was red with annoyance and anger. Mixed with his tired body, one would assume he was an angry drunk that came from a bar. To say he didn't look good was an understatement. But to the eyes of Y/N, that didn't matter at the moment.
"Who is going to take care of (child's name)? I do more than enough for this household!" Y/N defended herself from her doubting husband.
"Seriously?! You do nothing but play with them and sleep! You should work more than one patrol a week!" Bakugou, said frustrated while slamming his fist down on the table.
"I do not! You are barely home before dinner! I bet you don't spend a single second of your day thinking about your kid. Or me, for that matter!" Tears started to prick Bakugou's wife's eyes, making her voice crack.
"You really think that? Heh. I deserve more respect from the wife that I feed. I work because you don't, idiot!" And for your information, I do think of them. But I don't spear a thought about the ungrateful wife I have."
"You-"
"Mommy?" (Child's name)'s quiet voice interrupted Y/N. Both patents, frozen in their angered positions, turn to look at the owner of the small voice. There they saw their six-year-old child hiding behind the corner.
"Oh! Sorry sweety, did we wake you?" Y/N said while picking up the child and rocking them gently, seeing as they looked a little distressed.
"Why is daddy back so late?" They asked.
"He was busy at work." Y/N reasoned in a tone opposite of what she was using earlier. Katsuki was almost shocked at how two-faced his wife was.
"Yeah. I um- was at work." Katsuki agreed with a forced smile.
"Do mommy and daddy still love?" Their child said in a broken and tired manner. A sudden wave of guilt washed over the couple. Not only did they wake their kid, but they also made them worry. Bakugou couldn't stop the slight scowl form on his face. Luckily, (Child's name) didn't see it.
"Yes, we do, love. Now let's get you back to bed." Without a single glance back to her husband, Y/N proceeded to the child's room. All that Katsuki could do was watch as guilt ate him up from the inside.
It seemed that the light of the moon was bluer. Gloomier. Grey. The once gentle light was dull. But as Y/N tucked (child's name) into bed, she smiled sadly. Guilt eating her from the inside out. The crossfire is the most dangerous place, and she didn't want that for her child. Before getting up to leave, Y/N felt a tug on her shirt.
"Can you tell me a bedtime story?"
"Of course." Scooting closer and wrapping her arms around her child, she began to tell her tale.
"In the lands of the west, there once lived a girl. The girl loved exploring. Swimming in deep waters and climbing high mountains, there was no place she couldn't find. But one day, she stumbled upon an abandoned house. The paint chipped from the weather and the beams barely holding the roof up. The grass is overgrown, and the trees, shading its existence. To some, it's foolish to enter, but the girl felt as if something was meant to be found in something lost and forgotten. Upon entering, she found that there were lots of curtains. Curtains on the windows and on every doorway of the house. The girl went in search of the sunroom. Where most people would have a room made of glass and house plants or animals. Where there was the most light. But before she would enter, there was a curtain instead of a door. And instead of a light, there was a silhouette. At first, the girl was scared. Shocked to find something in the abandoned walls of the house. She called out to the figure. 'Hello?'. To her surprise, the person on the other side responded. Their voice was soft yet kind. The girl let her guard down and began conversing. But once she asked to walk past the curtains, the person's voice would convince her not to do so. The girl was confused. The silhouette looked like a human. Average, but not identifiable to a specific body type. They continued to talk under the rule that they couldn't see each other. Over time, the girl had an image of the friend she made behind the curtain. She would ask 'yes or no' questions to draw a picture in her head. Soon the girl was tired of not being able to see her friend. Someone she has learned to be kind and funny. Clever and quick-witted with jokes. So, one day the girl decided to see her friend with her eyes rather than in her thoughts. But as she pulled away from the curtain that separated them, the girl was horrified. That silhouette was nothing like the creature behind the curtain."
Y/N finished her story. Her child, now in a deep sleep, she tucked them back into bed and walked back into the shared bedroom of her and her husband. There she found her partner sitting on her side of the bed, dressed in nightclothes and cleaned.
"Katsuki, it's late."
"I know." He said sorrowfully.
"Let's just sleep this off."
"No, I don't want to sleep this off." He stood up and faced his wife. "(Child's name). They deserve loving parents. Not ones that hide behind personas of perfect people, not people that hide behind curtains. I appreciate what you do for them, for me. All I ask is that you recognize what I do."
"I will, from now on." Y/N smile in agreement with her husband. Even with his hot temper, Katsuki does have the capability to understand. "So, you listened to my story?"

The breeze of the countryside gently swept the hair of a quiet woman. Who sat in peace with the beautiful sounds and views of the valley. Houses are separated by small dirt roads and farms. That it matches well with the sky and sun. Just like a painting, the colors were all it took to take her to breathe away. But nothing could compare to experiencing a captured moment in person.
The traditional house was homely and welcoming to the women. As she moved in a few weeks ago, she instantly felt at home. Sitting on the tatami mats in front of the sliding door that opened to the green valley's view, she rubbed the tiny baby bump that had grown over the last few months.
The ringing of a phone broke the sounds of peace. Looking over, Y/N notices that it's her best friend. Rumi Usagiyama. More commonly known as Mirko: The Rabbit Hero. The strong woman helped Y/N so much. After being informed of what happened by Y/N, she gladly was there for the mother-to-be.
"Hey, Rumi."
"Hey, girl! How are you holding up? You know, with the new place and all."
"I'm doing fine, don't worry about me. Aren't you at work right now?"
"Yeah, I am. Hawks is still moping around. I'm basically dragging him out of the house."
Faintly, in the background, the voice of Hawks travels through the phone. Enough for Y/N to hear. And his voice caused her heart to stop for only a moment.
"Rumi. Time to go." The man's voice was low and depressed. His throat was cut from yelling or screaming too much. And just by the sounds of Hawks, he was tired. It almost was heartbreaking.
Mirko returned to the phone. "Sorry, duty calls. I'll send someone to check up on you."
"You really don't have to-"
Before Y/N could finish, the phone hung up. With a sign, the mother places her phone back to where it was previously. And so the day continued, with unpacking and simply relaxing in the gently rolling hills of the countryside.
It had been a couple of months, and time seemed to fly by. The spring gave just enough time for a small garden to grow. And along with a garden, so too was Y/N belly growing. She is 5 months pregnant now.
"Dear, you have been working hard. Why don't you and I have a break?" An old woman, somewhere in her late 80s, was quietly watching Y/N work. She was sent by none other than Rumi to take care of Y/N. It happened to be that the old woman was a family friend of Rumi, who took care of her when her parents weren't able to. Now, the old woman is keeping Y/N company.
"I'm almost done, Ichika-san. These flowers just need a little more water, and I need to add the supports for the tomato plants." Y/N said while wiping sweat from her head due to the summer heat.
"Y/N, you shouldn't strain yourself. I'll finish. You rest those poor feet."
"But-"
"No buts. Besides, I'd like to hear stories from you. I feel like I'm the only one talking."
"That's because you have such interesting stories for me to listen to." Y/N giggled. Hearing her stories was like being a child once again.
"What if I told you that those stories are made up?"
"I'd still think they are magical." Ichika smiled at Y/N as she helped the pregnant mother sit down in a patio chair. "And I know that this child would love to hear your stories too."
"Speaking of the child, you never told me about their father. Care to tell me?"
"I don't mind. I've come to terms with the past events and have no regrets." Y/N placed one hand on her stomach while looking out onto the green valley. Like many times before. " I guess I should start at the beginning. It was all thanks to Rumi. I was doing freelance work with her, and I think that's how I met him. Then his charm fooled everyone but me. And slowly, we both learned that the little things that we did, were worth millions. Little hugs and help out on the field turned to dates and nights spent under starry skies. Love that blossomed over time with constant care and attention made us strong. So, the night that he proposed, there was no way I could say no. And the day we tied the knot, I thought nothing could separate us. He was more than just a partner on the field; he was my husband, lover, and mostly my best friend. Then, one day I came home from an early doctor's appointment, only to find my husband had cheated on me. I left without hearing an explanation from him. He had been secretive lately, but I knew all about his secret mission. And I knew that it was a villain that he slept with. I was so blinded by my emotions that I couldn't find it in my heart to forgive. The love that we spent years building; crumbled in less than a minute. So, in a way that I knew would be best for both of us, was at least give him a chance to see the last thing our love gave us."
Y/N's eyes trailed back to Ichika, who was now sitting beside the mother. The old woman gently rubbed her shoulder in a calming and reassuring way. Non-verbally telling her that she listened to every bit of her story. And as the sun started to set over the horizon, the eyes of Ichika reflected the pretty oranges and yellows. But, also in her eyes was understanding.
"My dear, you worked so hard on your beautiful garden, and the cold will come and kill. But regardless of the harsh winter, it will grow once again in the spring. With that in mind, do you think you can forgive him?"

The sounds of a crying newborn filled the room. Relief and happiness became overwhelming for Y/N, that tears began to spill from her eyes. After months of rebuilding a broken relationship, Y/N turned to her husband, who equally had tears in his now happy golden-yellow eyes. And gently kissing her forehead, he whispered,
"Thank you, Y/N."

"What is it, Keigo? You're very energetic at such a late hour."
"Of course, I'll be happy when I'm with you! Anyway, you're still up. Were you waiting for me?"
"No, I just wanted some late-night ramen. Birdie, Of course, I stayed up for you!"
"Are you up for a fly then?"
"Ok, just let me get my jacket."
Soon enough, the quiet night was surrounding us as we soared under the star-dusted sky. His arms securely wrapped around my waist and his bright vermillion wings standing out. My boyfriend and I rarely have time for ourselves. Because of the rising criminal activity, work seemed to drown us. Now, we are enjoying the cold wind as we make our way to the mountain cliffs that looked down on the city lights.
"Annnnd here we are! We haven't been up here in a long time. Not much has changed."
"That's because there is no way up here on foot, you silly." I giggled while stroking his wings to neaten out the feathers. "We're lucky you have these."
"These things? They're nothing." He waved to brush me off.
"If they are nothing then, how are you a hero? Or how did we get up here?"
"Good point. They're quite useful."
We laid down on the soft grass of the cliff. The dark sky didn't seem dark at all. If anything, the light from the moon and stars were enough to see the face of Keigo beside me. His golden eyes reflected the light in the sky. I couldn't help but stare.
"You like what you see, darling?" Keigo turned to me.
"N-No..." I turned to hide a blush.
"Your face says otherwise."
"Shush! You're ruining the view."
"Oh! The love-struck look on your face? Yes, I am ruining that, but then again, I love all your faces."
"Ha! Even when I'm mad at you?"
"Yes."
"Even when I'm sad?"
"Yes! In that case, I'll try to make you smile."
"How about the face I make when I steal your chicken nuggets?"
"OH! That's a hard one. I'd always be happy to share, but you make it difficult. Hmmm, I'd still love your chipmunk face!" Hawks stretched out his arms and tackled me into the soft grass, laughing. "No matter what, I'll love you!" Then he started to tickle me. Laughter poured out of my mouth as he smiles maliciously.
"Babe! Stop!"
"Tell me you love me!"
"I-I love you!"
"And you'll share the chicken nuggets."
"Never!"
"Then I won't stop" I laugh louder as he stops tickling me and presses his weight on me.
"Keigo! Get off me. We were supposed to enjoy the night!"
"I am enjoying the night."
"Of course you are. Now, will you get off of me?"
"Chicken nuggets."
"Finnneee! I'll share the chicken nuggets!"
"YAY!" Keigo sits up while I catch my breath. "Do you mind standing up for me, Y/N?"
"Sure. Why?"
"Don't question it. And close your eyes." I did what he told me and waited as I hear my boyfriend shuffle in front of me.
"Ok, you can open your eyes now." There he was. Keigo was on one knee with golden eyes staring up at me. "Y/N. You don't know how happy you've made me these past few years. The smallest of moments with you mean the world to me. And I know you feel the same way. I know that we have been busy, and work has taken me away from you, but I promise that you will always be on my mind, no matter how many things are going on. I promise to support and love you with all my being. I promise that for every tear that falls from your eyes, I will be there to wipe them away. I promise to be by your side when you need me. I promise that I'll be yours forever if you'll have me. So, Y/N, will you marry me?"
"Yes. Yes! YES. A million times, yes!"
◃⋯ ⋯ ⋯ ▹
"How could you!"
"Y/N! It's not what you think!-"
"Not what I think? I think that what I saw was clear. You in bed with someone else. Naked, might I remind you."
"Babe, I swear that it was nothing."
"What I saw wasn't nothing. Here." Slamming the wedding ring, that I wore for three years, on the table, and I looked at Keigo. His eyes were glossy, and tears already falling from his now dull golden eyes. I was so mad that I couldn't stay for long. "I still remember the night you promised me forever."
As I was packing my bags, he cried and begged for me. But I didn't pay much attention to him. I drowned his voice out with concerns about where I'll be staying. Before opening the door, I turned to Keigo, or rather, Hawks, one last time. He was such a mess. If only I could pity him, but I can't. After what he just did.
"Don't expect my forgiveness, but I'll let you see your child."
"Wha-. Y/N!"
But before he could get an explanation, I closed the door with only broken promises.

The crowd whispered as a yellow head stood amongst the people, listening. And even with their whispers, to him, it felt like shouts and screams. Ridiculous questions and doubts circled the man. But as the man listens: his anger starts to rise.
Denki Kaminari. A hero. He was known to be a joking, careless, and relaxed hero. And that reflected in his hero work. Sadly, people only know him for just that: Jokes. Words that people never take seriously, mix and twist, fake, and don't believe. That is what a joke is. So, when the Stun Gun hero announced that he finally landed himself a girlfriend, everyone laughed and cheered, clearly, not understanding that the hero loves someone who loves him.
Lucky enough, the girl, Y/N, was a hero. Attending Shiketsu High, the hero only managed to rank in the hundreds. Working hard with little recognition. But life had its misfortunes and brought down two heroes with it. Chargebolt and (your hero name). Patrolling, fighting villains, and then recovering at the same locations was how they met. And strangely enough, how Denki fell in love.
After their action-filled encounter, Denki sought out Y/N. Finding out where she works and asking outside sources for when she is free to ask her to hang out at common date locations. To say Y/N enjoyed their time together was an understatement. She, like any girl, enjoyed the company of such a charming gentleman. Despite the constant pick-up lines and jokes, she mostly enjoyed the smile it brought to Denki's face. Soon enough, love sparked between the two and started a fire.
But when life's misfortunes happened again, Denki didn't fall.
And as Denki stands amongst the people, they discuss who the fallen hero is, tears of pain and anger fall from his golden-yellow eyes. Denki quietly whispers,
"She was my hero."

"Come on, Y/N! Think about it. Being a hero would be so cool!" An excited young Izuku said while bouncing up and down on the couch.
"Will I be free?"
The question caught Izuku by surprise. His smile faltered a little but tried to be that beacon of hope for Y/N. The boy knew about strict Y/N's household. Often the suffocating feeling from being at home affected Y/N and Izuku's small playdates. Despite being so young, the green-haired boy was knowledgeable enough to comfort his friend.
"Of course!"
~*~
"You will not be going out anymore. We've let you have your friend Midoriya, but now that you are older, you have to spend more time studying."
"Yes, mother."
Middle school was almost a blur for Y/N. She barely saw Izuku anymore, and every decision was made by her parents, from her future to her next breath. Drowning in endless expectations and commands, that Y/N forgot how to speak for herself. If only the ocean is big enough to weigh just as much as the rules and regulations her parents put on her, maybe there was a chance she could escape the pressure.
As the months passed, Izuku got worried for his friend. The weight of others' eyes was a feeling he could relate to, either from bullies or adults who had no hope for him. But he knew his childhood friend. Those countless playdates weren't a waste of time. He took those precious hours searching for a way to get her out of the sea. A sea that forced her to drown. Izuku listened to his friend's rants and cries. Izuku held and whipped away her tears. He may not know what it will be like to have parents planning and plotting every day of his life. Nor will he know what a challenge it is to swim in the constantly changing tides of the world. Yet, he was so determined to save someone who didn't evidently show that they needed saving.
Then he suggested becoming a hero.
The young boy thought that the role of a hero would be less stressful to play than the puppet of her parents. All the heroes that he watched and researched had supportive fans and co-workers. No matter what, there was always a smile on their faces and the faces of the people around them. It was the perfect solution to his young mind.
High school rolled around, and miraculously he made it into the most prestigious school. U.A. Izuku was beyond worried and concerned for his friend. Shortly after he got his letter from U.A, the boy found out that his friend supposedly went missing. Whenever he had enough energy after long hours of training, he would go out and look for his dear friend. But regardless of his attempts, he was rendered unsuccessful.

Years went by, and the now Pro Hero Deku was patrolling the area. Crime rates weren't as kind to the hero: rising due to one villain in particular. A villain named Freedom. She was a tricky one because of her followers. They believe that disobeying the law and regulations that keep the city in order is the only way to get freedom. Freedom to do whatever they wanted. Thus, causing the rise in crime. Deku wasn't too happy about that. But the only way to stop a weed from growing, you got to dig it up from the root.
Chasing a dark figure into allies and around corners, Deku wasn't far behind them. It was evident that they were beginning to exhaust, and their movements slowed. Eventually, the Pro Hero caught up with the villain.
Running into an alleyway with no exit, Deku found his opportunity. He, being the considerate person he is, wanted a small conversation.
"Heh, looks like I'm trapped." Y/N laughed. But when she turned around, she met eyes with the same green hope-filled ones from so long ago. A wave of sadness accompanied by the familiar feeling of drowning washed over her. Choking out her voice, the girl said with shock. "Izuku..."
"Huh?"
"Wow. You're all grown up, I see."
"Who are you?" Deku questioned. Worry was increasing with every breath.
"I'm almost offended. After all that time together." Y/N pouted.
Izuku pondered. Questions and right judgment collided in his head. He wanted answers, yet he should arrest this person. But the more he stood there and dug through his memories, he'd realized who was in front of him.
"Y/N!"
"Guess I'm free, finally."
"This isn't the way, Y/N!"
"To me; it is."

Heroes have their purpose, and everyone else has their own. No matter what you give to the world with your presence, whether saving lives or teaching young minds, it eats at you over time. Energy and time spent to keep going. But just like money, you eventually spend all of it. Soon enough, you lose passion. You're waking up to an unhappy life that had taken years to build and achieve, only to drag yourself throughout the day until it is all over.
More and more people get hurt as more and more heroes fail to save and keep people safe. The uprise in villains didn't aid the flooding patients that enter the hospital. Being a nurse was my way of being a hero. After all, every kid dreamed of being a hero. I envisioned a life of smiles from those I have helped, the same smile heroes get. But the reality was not sunshine and rainbows, and most times, the people I have treated leave with much of a smile or a thank you.
My faith in humanity was slowly fading.
Hanging my coat and putting away my shoes, I stare into the dark of my apartment. The exhaustion making my legs move to the coach without my consent. Finally reaching my destination, I lay down while watching the moonlight stream through the windows. The small bits of light in the dark reminded me of water. The serenity and beauty that comes with water under soft white light feel safe and peaceful. But with the security that water surrounds, there is fear and danger.
Drowning.
I close my eyes, awaiting my husband to come home, knowing he will be tired. Probably even more so than me. He was the best man to enter into my life. Giving me endless affection and support whenever I needed it. In turn, I was always there to heal his wounds. Even before we were dating, I was there during every breakup and failed test. Life would be impossible to live through without him.
"Y/N? Are you home?"
The voice of my husband, Eijiro, and the flick of the lights stopped the thoughts from running.
"I'm here," I call out. As I sit back up, the weight of being tired came back. I put a smile on my face as I greet Eijiro. He also must be spent, and a smile never hurt anyone.
"Stop." He said sternly.
"What?"
He came to me and knelt to my eye level. I feel his warm hands reach for cold ones and holds them. Concern inching its way up. "You always do that."
"Do what?"
"Smile for me. I appreciate it, but I can tell how forced it is. You don't have to do that for me. I know how hard your work is-"
"But your work is hard too!"
"I know. But you care for people all day. I patrol all day. Sometimes you need to be taken care of too."
"But-"
"No buts, I know what it feels like to be barely swimming."
For the remainder of the evening, I was pampered and appreciated so much to the point I felt like a princess. And to him, I was.

It is expected that injuries and trauma be in the package of a hero. After all, they witness death quite often on the field itself. But when starting out new, U.A. tended to sugarcoat a lot of the dirty work. Advertising to the public that the school raises young students that will successfully serve their country with a smile on their face. For a prestigious school, who wouldn't believe that? All Might, the number one hero, graduated from that school. The truth is, not all of the smiles from U.A. are real.
Y/N was one of those fools that believed that smiles could save the world. She, like others, enrolled in U.A. to become a hero. A hero, like All might. Taking her hero studies with Sir Night eye that had a similar view on a hero. There she met Mirio. A boy who seemed to be smiling all the time. But the sun doesn't shine every day, or else it would be a desert.
The rain was heavy on the hospital window. The white walls and other white objects, now coated with the gray light from the outside. Making the room just as gloomy as the environment outside. Mirio sat in gray shades listening to the pitter patters of rain fall into a musical rhythm.
The mission to save a young girl named Eri and stop Overhaul replayed in his mind in an endless loop. Reminding him of the successes and losses of that day. Saving Eri. Stopping the Shie Hassaiki. And the death of Sir Night Eye. Mirio was still in a state of shock and on the edge of breaking down a second time. The sight of everything still not wrapping around his head just yet. Within his room, he didn't have to hide his smile. Setting free the bottled emotions with a peace of mind that no one could see him at the moment.
With not much sound or any disturbance from Mirio, Y/N slipped into his room. She sadly wasn't allowed on the mission due to still recovering from a previous mission. Oh, how she wished she was there. Maybe she could've prevented the tragic events. Mirio, not knowing the girl arrived, stayed still, letting tears run down his cheeks willingly.
"Togata?"
The boy whipped his head to see his classmate standing there with a concerned look on her face. He hated uncertainty on anyone's face. His habit of covering up any and all negative emotions, he wiped all traces of tears from his face. Replacing the tear stains with a smile.
"Hey, Y/n."
"Togata." The girl called out in a more stern tone. Walking closer to Mirio's bedside. He grew scared, and in turn, his smile faltered just a bit.
"So, how is the recovery?" The blonde head said with fake cheeriness.
"You can't pour from an empty glass."
"What?"
Y/N stood there with a straight face. She watched this boy from day one. Being a person who was reliable and had no goals in letting anyone down. She stood on the side, ready to catch him if he were to ever fall. But he never did or at least pretended that he didn't fall in the first place. Now, his walls were down. Mirio's facade had faded. She could see right through him, and with her stare, Mirio could feel it.
"Y/N.-"
"You silly fool. Thinking you can smile like that?" Y/N interrupted, looking at him and holding her stern but now angry stare. "You can't give what you don't have."
"I know." He broke eye contact and looked down in shame.
"You know what hurts me more?" Y/N reached out and cupped his cheek, making him face her again. "Seeing you bury your true feelings. I hate seeing you put up this character. It helps give security to others, but when you're with me, you also do it. And I can't help but feel like you don't trust me."
"Y/N! It's not like that, I swear!"
"I know. You're a good person, and I know that you don't mean it. With your smile, I can't trust you either. How do I know if that smile is fake? How can I be true to you if you won't be true to me?"
"Then, whenever I am with you, I won't hide anything anymore." Mirio took Y/N's hand from his cheek and placed it over his wrapped chest, and placed it over his heart. This action made both of their hearts beat a little bit faster. "With that said, I want to tell you that I like you."
Mirio smiles lovingly at Y/N. Knowing full well that love was something he could give. And Y/N couldn't help but return his smile.

"I'm going to work now, Y/N."
Eijiro alerts his wife, who lays still, back facing her husband. A wave of sadness and guilt washes over him as he walks away from their shared bedroom. He still had to go to work. After all, the world needs the sturdy hero, but so did his wife. The redhead sadly remembers her smile that is now lost, along with their unborn child. He wanted to curse and blame life for their loss, but death is the one guilty.
Y/N stayed still, hearing her husband's words blur into the deafening ring of silence.
Less than 24 hours ago, she was still pregnant with her first child.
Less than 24 hours ago, she was rushed to the hospital because of sudden bleeding.
Less than 24 hours ago, her husband stood beside her with a worried expression.
And less than 24 hours ago, she lost her baby.
Questions circled around her head. Was it her fault? Could she have done something to prevent what had happened? Was there something wrong with her or the baby? Y/N couldn't help but blame herself for the tragedy. She cried. Eijiro cried. And everyone who knew about the baby wept for the child. Now, Y/N lays in bed, listening to the silence with dry, puffy eyes as the heavy feeling of grief made it impossible to move.
"Go home Red Riot."
"But-"
"I said go home."
Fatgum watches as the boy trudges out of his office. The pro hero was one of the first people Eijiro told about Y/N's pregnancy, and sadly, their miscarriage. He felt so bad that Eijiro was still called into work, but at first glance, he knew that the father couldn't even stand with the weight of the loss on his back. With a sigh, Fatgum returned to his work.
Eijiro walks into his home, not bothering to call out to Y/N. He slips off his gear and makes his way to the shared bedroom. Each step felt heavier as he walked closer to his wife. The sadness and grief increase with the climb up the stairs. The man known for being rock hard started to cry. Tears burned his cheeks and lips trembling. He wanted that child just as much as Y/N did. It didn't help that everyone around them was also overjoyed about the baby. Now, he wonders, could he have done something?
The long journey to the bedroom was far from over, as once he made it to the doorway, he sees his wife. She hadn't moved from when he left. Even more heavy emotions weigh him down with the scene. But he proceeded. Finally reaching the bed and sitting on his side, making the mattress bend at his weight.
The silence was almost comforting at this point. Staying in it for so long, Y/N got used to it. Since she didn't move, the feeling of anything physical left her body. The mother could barely feel the coldness of the room. That was until her husband wrapped his arms around her and gently picked her up. With the numb feeling that had build up from the hours of crying and silence, she didn't react immediately. Eijiro lifted his wife and carried her out into the living room. He wanted her to have a change of scenery. Thinking it might help her. And it did. He set her down on the couch and knelt down to her eye level to see her eyes now a dull color and cheeks stained from tears. The more Y/N's husband stared at her in this state, the more he cried himself. Upon seeing her love upset, her first instinct was to hold him. Y/N wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled her head into his shoulder. Eijiro's eyes widened but quickly composed himself to return his hold on her.
"I-"
"Shhhh...."
Eijiro interrupted Y/N. She was going to apologize again, and he knew it. He didn't want to hear her blame herself. In truth, there really wasn't anyone to blame. And with the comfort of her husband, him gently stroking her back, made her cry again. But this time, it wasn't wholly on the loss of her child. But part of her tears was of relief that her husband was in her arms.
Yes, the loss was heavy on both parents, but knowing that they have each other, makes the weight just a little tiny bit lighter.
