Martin and Benedict
Sherlock - Behind the scenes - The final problem
Bought the video from amazon
Aww!
hope they have fun losing their most dedicated and passionate fanbase
Martin and Benedict from Script to Screen (x)
A good thing to have while we continue to hold out hope for the real TFP to be finally released
So this was the story of Sherlock Holmes becoming a good man? Guess what, he was in the very first episode, he was always a good man, and all you did was torment him for 4 seasons and leave him alone and in the closet. Again.
every villain was queer-coded, explicitly or otherwise. set this show on fire.
tfw in your adaptation of âthe final problemâ you donât kill the detective, you kill the story
On a train bound for Cardiff, sometime in 2008:
Moffat: So, hey, you know Sherlock Holmes?
Gatiss: what, like the serial killer?
Moffat: No, that was a different guy. This one's like some detective from eighteen-fuckety-something
Gatiss: okay?
Mofftiss: yeah anyway he's real famous, the great mouse detective is based on it
Gatiss: Omg I love the great mouse detective! I used to think they were gay but then I realised they weren't and Dawson was really straight. Kinda fucked me up but hey, gave me lots of rage to write with
Mofftiss: So I was thinking, what if we do that, but on a larger scale? Like, write a story that has so much gay subtext people can't help but pick up on it and then when they're really invested we do a massive rug pull and show them they were straight all along
Gatiss: Bro, that's amazing!
Mofftiss: im only worried someone might do it first
Gatiss: We can't let that happen! Let's get right on this. What was the guy called, Sher-something ?
so mark and steven read canon and thought âyou know what? sherlock has supposed to have had a psychotic sister since 1895 #tellingthetruestoryâ
you have a boyfriend, which is fine by the way, i know itâs fine? is yours a snorer? 57? weâre not a couple, yes you are? i like my doctors clean shaven? theres something that ive meant to say? romantic entanglement will complete you as a human being?
iâm disgusted
what the fuck did they like about private life
Maybe how the last half of the film didnât make sense in relation to the first
back to bible reading, where things are gay and okay!
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE EXACT SAME AWARD WINNING DETECTIVE SHOW IF THEYâD KEPT THEIR GAY JOKES TO THEMSELVES.
so jenny and vastra were a white manâs wet dream i guess
they were never maryâs boys they were never mofftissâ boys they were our boys. they will always be our boys.
I never even liked Molly Hooper but the way they wrote her in TFP was shameful. Molly Hooper is almost 40 years old and still acting like a pathetic loser who canât get over being in love with an unattainable gay man like some jilted teenager. This is rock bottom bad writing. They ended S4 with the most pathetic, unkempt, sad sack Molly Hooper weâve ever seen. I almost feel sorry for her now that we were shown how unwilling Sherlock was to say âI love youâ to her even when her life was on the line. Molly Hooper may be many things, but she deserves a much better arc than this.
