Papa November in San Francisco, CA
I think of Paul and Najla a lot these days for the very thing they put their hearts into everyday: Papa November, an earnest little coffee truck at the corner of 15th St. and Kansas in Potrero Hill. I used to work in the neighborhood and, along with folks from Zynga, Adobe, CCA, and the nearby showrooms/studios, would congregate at the truck almost every morning for some pretty ridiculous coffee and baked goods. On super windy days, before Monday 9AM client calls, after more client calls,… I would always get a cappuccino and a scone from these guys, and things would be alright again.
Paul makes the smoothest Stumptown cappuccinos, and Najla bakes the most scrumptious, freshest treats imaginable (N makes the drinks too! Mornings get pretty busy for these two). They know their friends who come by to wake up, to refresh, to geek out - this is SF after all. They are serious about coffee and bakes. They make it way fun.
I’m seriously missing the honey cakes, quince muffins, cheddar and chive scones, hella chocolate cookies, lemon loaves, ALL OF IT now that I work far from this place. Hoping they continue to fill and delight this neighborhood by doing what they do best.
