To Know the Dark
by Wendell Berry
To go in the dark with a light is to know the light. To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight, and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings, and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

until you learn the lesson
A mind controlling villain just dropped dead when they tried to controll you. As it turns out, you're basically a psychic landmine.
Heart
Humans can be ruthless, savages even. But oh, the heart! the heart! This unearthly tool, gifted by the creator holds the strength to destroy the world. How weak you become in front of your heart! If you win against your heart, you are either unbreakable… or you have nothing left to break.
20 Ways to Show Extreme Fear in Your Writing
As I dive into researching signs of fear for my horror WIP, I wanted to share some of the most compelling and visceral reactions I’ve come across. Whether you’re writing a chilling scene or crafting a character’s panic, these 20 signs of fear can help bring tension and realism to your story.
Physical Reactions
Hyperventilating — sucking in air but never feeling like it’s enough
Chest tightens — feels like a weight or hands pressing down
Limbs shaking violently, knees buckling
Complete loss of muscle control — collapsing or unable to stand
Cold sweat soaking through clothes
Heart hammering so hard they feel it in their throat or head
Tunnel vision — the world narrowing down to one terrifying focal point
Ringing in the ears or sudden deafness, like the world drops away
Dizziness / feeling faint / vision blurring
Dry mouth — unable to speak or even scream
Uncontrollable Behavior
Screaming / sobbing / gasping — involuntary vocal outbursts
Panic run — bolting without thinking, tripping over everything
Clawing at their own skin / chest / throat — like trying to escape their body
Begging / pleading out loud even if no one’s there
Repeating words or phrases — “No, no, no” / “This isn’t happening”
Hiding instinctively — diving under tables, closets, or corners
Desperate grabbing — reaching for someone, anything solid
Loss of bladder or bowel control (for extreme terror)
Total mental shutdown — frozen, slack-jawed, staring blankly
Memory blackout — later can’t recall what happened during the worst moment
I can't keep having the same conversations about love languages, mbti, iq, bmi, "brain fully formed at 25" and shit over and over again...
these things exist on a spectrum from untrue to straightforwardly racist btw. so if we could retire them forever that'd be nice.
quick rundown so we can put it to rest:
love languages: MADE UP! it's just a list of some common things viewed as traditionally romantic (and mostly from a western society/european culture tradition)
MBTI: RACIST! its creator wrote "murder mystery" novels that revolved around the ideas that personality type could identify murderers, and that suicide is the correct answer if you discover you have non-white ancestry. the MBTI has cultural bias allowing corporations to effectively segregate by colour by pretending to be "screening for collaborative types" when in reality they only hire white people. It's also obviously bunk I hope this goes without saying but the racist stuff is never true
IQ: MADE UP! "intellectual quotient" tests can not test "the intellect," only a few functions across a narrow spectrum of what brains do. Not only are those functions not inherent, but trained (you can just get better at IQ tests by practising them), they're also used as a be-all-end-all of intelligence, a notion notoriously hard to define. RACIST! After being taken to mean "intelligence," the IQ has been demonstrated to be tied to abstract cognition functions mostly valued and trained in the global north, the reaction to which has been "well that proves the others are dumber" with IQ consistently used as an argument to support that claim
BMI: MADE UP! It was invented by and for health insurance, not health services providers. Exploring in detail claims about BMI showed most of them to be bunk and the others to need infinitely more nuance, some weak correlation never strong causation. RACIST! fatphobia affects non-white people a lot through a mix of difficult economic situations and compounding effects of already-strained access to healthcare
"brain fully formed at 25": MADE UP! A widely-quoted study on brain development just stopped looking after the age of 25 but brain development and maturation etc showed no sign of stopping before, and the criteria used in number of connections, readiness to create more etc showed impressive variance with young children having more "mature" brains than adults
Why so much fear? Cause nobody is your dear? But worry not, everyone has their own thought. Hard to swallow this pill, the world doesn't revolve around you, So burst your bubble, this world has so much trouble and you're only a fragment in this titanic world.
“I’m one of those people that you have to keep your eye on or I’ll wander off into the woods and forget to come back.”
— Jack White
Feelings
My feelings are fading, As if it was a wound. It was hugging me intensely Now it's slowly getting off. Feelings come when it's attacked, Disappears when not. Ego grows Sympathy vanishes, Empathy dies.
i wonder how you carry those words with you?? each time you utter them, you cut the flesh on my body so slowly and gradually that my soul bleeds the request for you to stop. you have compiled a sword with those words of yours. words can indeed cause so much pain, i agree now, because, every time you spoke i was dying silently, steadily and entirely. now i stand with the stinging wound in my heart just to see you smile malignantly
Rehearse death. To say this is to tell a person to rehearse his freedom. A person who has learned how to die has unlearned how to be a slave. He is above, or at any rate, beyond the reach of, all political powers. -Seneca
Trying to Balance Virtual Life and Real Life is hard. And when People from Real life gets into our virtual life. We either spend a lot time virtually or not at all. And when virtual Friends gets into real life, it also depends. Knowing how to balance is hard but worth it ✨
Please reblog this with your enneagram (tritype not necessary, but include the wing), your instinctual variant, and your MBTI for science. I will follow everyone that helps me out with this
I will be making little graphs and stuff once I’ve got enough information, just like I did on @ilvermorny-analysis.

Where can I find that land? Where I can be me? Where I am free? Where everyone is perfect? Where I can talk with animals! Where life isn't full of miseries? Where everyone can say that they have a decent life? Take me there...!
If you were born with the curse of feeling things deeply you were also born with the blessing of knowing what’s truly worth your energy.

Not every INFP is a Crybaby nor fragile! At least not every damn time. I agree that I was indeed a crybaby when I was a child. But now, I don’t cry or take things personally that easily. I do cry when I can’t understand what’s happening to me, Also when I feel something is getting unjustified with me. I observed that when my friends got to know that I'm an INFP. They start to act softer with me, and very cautious, which I didn't like. Like they can't be open-minded with me now! Also, I'm not sad all time. So, move on from these stereotypes.
