jongin would take it light-heartedly, because he knew that you knew that he loved you more than anyone else in the world. he wouldn’t make the situation too serious, and would tease you a bit to lighten up the mood if you were that upset about it.

exo’s new episode of weekly idol that they filmed weeks ago was airing on tv that night, and you were excited to see it. weekly idol was one of your favorite variety shows, and seeing your boyfriend and his group on there made it even more exciting for you. waiting all week for this episode, you were situated onto the couch and your eyes were glued to the screen as soon as it started.

it came to a part where all of the members, along with dony and cony, were sitting down. suddenly, they were asking the boys about who their ideal types were. this shocked you, only because yours and jongin’s relationship was kept private, and that no one outside of sm knew about it, and you had know idea what he was about to say.

“yoona, from girls generation.” the words slipped out of his mouth freely and without hesitation, through the speakers of your television screen.

as his voice reached your ears, you couldn’t believe what he had just said. you thought you heard wrong, until dony repeated his words and talked about how beautiful yoona was, and that she was a good choice.

you didn’t know what to think. yes, your relationship was private and you guys weren’t planning on making it public any time soon— but another part of you was hurt by the fact that he still didn’t say your name.

instead of continuing the episode, you shut off the tv right as jongin walked through the door of your dorm.

“jagi, are you watching the new ep-“ he stopped in his tracks and trailed his eyes back and forth between your emotionless figure and the tv. “wait, why are you staring at the tv while it’s turned off?”

you shrugged your shoulders, not even giving him a single glance.

he tilted his head to the side in confusion, taking a seat next to you on the couch and stared at you intensely, like he was trying to read your mind. “what’s wrong?”

“is yoona really your ideal type?” you asked, not wanting to beat around the bush and get straight to the point.

“what do you mean? of course not, you are!” jongin claimed, chuckling a bit as he thought you were crazy for thinking that, realizing that you did in fact watch the new episode up until that point.

you frowned. “then why didn’t you say my name?”

he gave you a small, cute smile and placed a hand on your forearm, rubbing it gently. “are you jealous?”

pushing his hand away, you shook your head no. “no, i was just wondering.”

“you’re cute when you’re jealous~” he cooed, pinching your cheek lightly. “didn’t you say you wanted to keep our relationship private?”

“i may be reconsidering it now..” your voice trailed off, rethinking the decision of choosing to keep your relationship hidden from the public.

jongin’s smile got brighter the second the words released from your mouth, sitting up straight and grabbing your hand to put into his own. “i’ll make a promise to you. i’ll announce our relationship next week and post a video to the fans, telling them myself. deal?”

now it was your turn to display a bright smile. “deal!”

you’d be coming home with the brightest smile on your face as you had gotten the best news at work that day. the previous CEO of the company recently stepped down from their position, and reccommended you as the employee they’d like to take over that position in the company. it was a huge honor being in that position at a company, and it was something you became proud of because all that hard work you did had paid off in the end.

walking through the door with that smile still expressed on your face, kyungsoo would take notice immediately and assumed you had a good day at work. you replied with a nod, humming your way along to the the bedroom to change your clothes.

“i have big news!” you exclaimed as you walked back out of the room, taking a seat right next to your boyfriend on the couch.

“what is it?” he asked, fully interested in what you had to say.

the grin on your face had grown bigger, and you were full on cheesing by the time the words escaped from your mouth. “i’m becoming the new ceo of the company!”

a blush crept onto your cheeks at his sudden compliment, and he let go of you to head on in to the kitchen to make you a celebratory dinner for the night. he wanted this day to be extra memorable for you, waiting to show you his other plans he had prepared for you later.
