Snow. Screaming winds. A dark box. Pounding, screaming to escape, to help, to…

Their eyes snap open, their body jolting as consciousness returns; A feeling similar to a dream about falling. Law slowly sits up, rubbing the sleep from their eyes. A heavy arm slides off them, its owner murmuring sleepily. 

Law looks down at their rousing partner, eyes drifting across Kirin’s body. It was a warm night, Law can tell– the way the blanket clings to Kirin’s body, the faint sheen of sweat on his shoulders. The doctor huffs, shaking their head as they swing their legs off the bed, the soles of their feet touching the floor silently. They stand smoothly as Kirin murmurs something else, Law making their way into the bathroom to wash the signs of a distressing sleep away.

As they turn back into the bedroom, they see Kirin has rolled onto his back, and lazily propped himself up on a pillow. The way his hair cascades down his shoulders, messy from sleep, flowing like water– Law has no idea how the man keeps it looking so good. 

“C’mere.” Kirin murmurs, lazily patting the bed. Law shakes their head– They’ve had enough of the bed for now, and open their mouth to say as much, when Kirin tilts his head, interrupting.

“I’m gonna have to start waking up before you at this rate, captain.” 

“Like you’d be able to.” Law replies, huffing as they approach the bed. Kirin pouts, sitting up more.

“Hey, I can wake up early when I want to. And I want to wake up with you in my arms.” The man teases, mischief in his eye; The cheesiness is thick enough to grate, but the message is clear enough. Law sighs, slowly making their way around the bed.

“Last time that happened, we were in bed so long we missed breakfast-” “And Bepo can keep it warm for us.” Kirin teased, eyebrows raised. 

“You can’t keep eggs warm long, darling.” Law says– Kirin leans forward, blanket shifting to reveal his bare chest as he replies.

“Not without your help, sweetheart.” Kirin says, with a wink. Law can barely even formulate a reply before Kirin has a hand around their waist, and tugs Law onto the bed in a hug, laughing as Law smacks the man ineffectually on the shoulder.

They ended up missing lunch, too.

Adjusted value of Bees. Now that was a special one… because every item in the game had a minimum value, and a beehive was a container for bees, which each had a minimum value… which meant the moment one of your dwarves picked up a beehive, your entire fortress’ net worth skyrocketed… a value used in determining how powerful the foes that visit and try to murder you are.

Actually I lied it’s the one where after a major update werewolves and vampires started climbing the nearest tree and refusing to come down. It turned out that he’d given evil creatures the ability to sense each other, but forgotten to set a maximum range on it, so werewolves were aware Hell was underground and trying to flee by climbing
