I have been spending more and more time on Tumblr lately. It’s the only form of social media that doesn't make me want to barf up my own eyeballs. ... Somehow that led me to looking at a lot of Spirk fan art, showing Spock and Kirk madly in love.

Unreliable Narrator: Not Paying Attention

Unreliable Narrator: Six month old Infant
Coming soon in the Unreliable narrator series! Ancient Rage Barbie!
It suddenly struck me that "six-month-old infant" sounds like something Mercymorn would say about Harrow.
Someone had to make the cape
"Ambessa Medarda, I just wanted to review your notes on project 'Sad Girl Puppet Coup.' It says here you requested we commission a, quote, 'gay little villain cape'?"
"With a big flared collar, yes. We need it, it's really going to bring together the theme of the shoddy theatricality of fascism."
Follow-up: Someone had to make the Jacket. But, like, who?
Anyway, which one is your breakup vibe?
Which Sick Outfit Are You Using to Disguise Your Pain Post-Breakup?
Vampy Fascist Incel Cape, cuz ur a bad girl now
Butch-Goth Leather Biker Jacket, cuz u can't be hurt if ur already dead inside

Someone had to make the cape
"Ambessa Medarda, I just wanted to review your notes on project 'Sad Girl Puppet Coup.' It says here you requested we commission a, quote, 'gay little villain cape'?"
"With a big flared collar, yes. We need it, it's really going to bring together the theme of the shoddy theatricality of fascism."
I love that Gideon the Ninth is marketed as a space opera when like 95% of it takes place on Earth. It’s marketed as lesbians exploring a gothic castle in space, but it’s NOT. The castle is very much on Earth!! I mean, we don’t know that it was Earth until book 3, in which case we were in space by then anyway, but still!
But when you think about it long enough... technically...
Earth is also "in space."
Here is a story that contains plenty of conflict: "I was hungry. I really wanted a sandwich. So I got up and went to the fridge and made a sandwich."
Another Way To Think About "Conflict" and "Stakes" In Your Fiction
Another Franken-Friday paperback.
kabru is so fucking funny. he’s out here playing 15 dimensional manipulation mind chess with a guy whose hobby is barking like a dog
And he's losing.
OK to use synthetic blood for my dark rituals?
Yeah.

A commission of Ventress in Nightsister garb.
I was pretty young when the original Clone Wars cartoon came out on TV. I remember that Ventress was one of the first female villains I ever saw who could fight. I wanted to be like her, minus the being evil thing.

Dragon Feminism, Part 1: Fourth Wing and Romantasy Indulgence
From Westeros to Navarre, thus doth the dragon bridge the two latest waves in fantasy fiction, crossing from grimdark to romance. And how no
I wrote a blog post about the state of fantasy, indulgence, and adventure in this, our Dragon-Girl Era. To tip my hand, I'm skeptical of how much Fourth Wing and offerings on its level have to offer either to fantasy readers or to women readers more generally.
