People sometimes ask why i make life so hard for myself, why i must take on so much and keep myself challeneged, sometimes struggling through stress…despite going through things such as feeling inadequate in every way (apearance, ambition, success etc.), i’ve become so much stronger..sure i’ve broken down but it’s allowed me to learn about and improve myself…now im not going to be all cliche with the “hard work=better result” b/c the world is unfair but i do believe that if you don’t push yourself and break a little, you dont realize your capability, it’s ok to fail and feel horrible as long as you learn to improve and accept imperfection
College Dorm Expectation vs. Reality
DIY Beauty Hacks
Get Rid of Facial Redness---Green Tea Bag: wash your face in brewed green tea and use the tea bag as a scrubber
Dry Shave---Aloe Lotion: slather lotion with aloe and shave, moisturizes and acts as shaving cream at the same time
Get Rid of Sweaty Skin (summer in parks and outdoor events)---Baby Powder: great alternative to trying to oil blot your whole body, sprinkle baby powder on your sticky skin, don't over do it, just make sure you have enough to absorb the sweat
Dark Eye Circles---Licorice Extract: mix it with a thick moisturizer and generously cover your under eye with it overnight, it takes a few days to lighten the skin
Morning Puffy Eyes No More---Vitamin K: known for helping blood flow, it also works with when you mix it with moisturizer and slather under eye overnight
Moisturize Skin & Hair---Argan Oil: just a few drops on your palm, rub, and pat on your face/hair (seems like you're putting oil on your face but it's not oily at all after your skin has absorbed it)
Botox Facial Mask---Egg Whites: beat raw egg whites until it's foamy (important) and add some honey (optional) and slather on your face, wait till it drys and wash with warm water (you will feel your face immediately tighten)
Exfoliate w/o $$$ exfoliators---Sugar: just add sugar to your daily facial wash and exfoliate (works with hands & body, just add to body/hand wash!)
Tame your T-zone and Redness---Tea Tree Oil: just a few drops on your problem areas overnight and you'll wake up with better skin (warning: do not get too close to eyes and results may take a few days, does not work well on large pimples)
Travel Tips
As the back to/off to college season comes up, you might find yourself planning for a road trip or plane trip there. Here are some helpful tips on what to pack for traveling (besides things for your room):
Vaseline
Eye mask
Hand Sanitizer
Facial Wipes
Waterless toothbrush
Lotion
Sometimes we forget that people only put their bests on social media. Don't get caught up in the false perfection and remember that everyone has problems.
TBH, the summer before your college freshmen year is practically the last full free summer you'll ever have before summer classes/internships/full-time take over so enjoy it while it lasts
