No one said being the Prince would be easy, no one said being his advisor would be a walk in the park. It was anything but, and often very very annoying, and dangerous. Warnings on each chapter, but expect fighting and swearing in general.
Okay but heartstopper is the only show I've actually felt represented by??? I've been sobbing all the way through at the scenes of Nick trying to figure out his identity, Charlie feeling like a burden, not feeling like you can come out, people seeing you differently, just absolutely EVERYTHING
It's the best representation I've found and it's so heartwarming? I actually feel okay to strive for romance and just such brightness in life again, it's been a while, it's so easy not to feel that way especially when you don't see it like this, like you cant have it too????
It's just,,,, so good, so so good, I'm glad kids get to watch this, see yes, it's normal, yes, you'll search dumb quizes to test if you're gay, yes you'll be confused and want to stay hidden and that's so okay!!! It's just fantastic I don't have the right words for it, but I'm glad it's here
I have created an ao3, and will be revisiting my old works!!!!
BigBeanButters is my name over on there, so if any of you happen to see this and are curious, or hate that I left a few fics unwritten/completed (first off, I'm sorry ahhh) then pop over there!!!!

Master list

Reds and oranges flicked high in front of them, it was entrancing. The soft warmth it gave was a stark contrast to its flames, though Roman often found contrasts where there probably wasnât any at all. Like he and Logan, or when Logan would laugh then go back to speaking too factual. Though, he supposed that was his job, after all.
Roman picked a small pebble off of the floor, turning it within his hands. Logan was asleep, so he opted to sit in silenceâhe always did have trouble getting to sleep. He spared a glance over at Logan, light snores escaping his mouth making it hard for Roman not to chuckle.
His stomach rumbled and Roman groaned, tomorrow would be a day of endless walking and looking for food, he supposed. If he tried right now heâd probably end up poisoning himself. Instead he looked back down at his hand, it felt numb instead of the stinging he came to expect. The cuts were almost healed, remarkably, and Roman didnât have a clue on how to feel about it. It was bewildering, so he added another thought to the list of things to not focus on. At least until tomorrow.
He allowed a light hum to escape his lips, still turning the pebble. A hum his mother used to sing to him after a nightmare, it seemed fitting for today. Seeing not only himself but Logan too, in danger, well he saw it before. This time was different though, he didnât have a clue what was going on and he saw magic. What if the sorcerer knew exactly where they were? Who even knew how powerful they were.
A sigh escaped halfway through the hum, but he continued, mulling over the dayâs events. He moved to stand near the river, bouncing the pebble in his hand before trying to skim it across. It made it around two bounces before falling in.
**
Logan felt heavy, his mind foggy and waking up. He could hear a faint hum, slowly trying to lull him back to sleep. For a moment he thought of how peaceful that would be, falling asleep to such a gentle tone underneath the stars. Even as the thought was passing his mind he managed to open his eyes just partly, and found Roman gazing across the lake.
It always amazed Logan at how long Roman could stay awake for but also concerned him. No one should stay awake this long, especially after the dayâs events, he would tell him so too. In a few minutes.
The humming was still trying to pull him back, but as it came to an end he rubbed his eyes and sat up slowly, careful to not make too much noise. As much as he wished for him to start again, he knew Romans sleep was much more valuable. He had to keep him well-- it was his job.
Tapping on Romans shoulder he spoke softly, âCanât you sleep?â
A slow shake of the head Roman turned around, facing him full on now, âI apologise for waking you.â
The night air was cold and encompassing. It felt like they were sealed away, kept safe and hidden. Logan wished it was true, wished the stars would continue to shine and the sun to never come up, just so they could stay there forever. He often wondered what it would be like if he dared to wish for more, but getting hopes up over something impossible was a stupid game to play.
So instead he wished for simple things or nothing at all.
âItâs quite alright,â and for once he wasnât too sure what to sayâhe wanted to say he liked the song, but perhaps that would be intrusiveâ âwhatâs keeping you?â
Roman gave a small chuckle, âToday, all of it. Does it not frighten you?â
The fire was still setting of glow, casting orange hues to Romans face and glistening on the water besides them. Logan tried not to focus on it, how it made his face stand out in the best of ways, or how it mixed perfectly with his brown eyes, mixing into honey. He chose to look away.
âOf course it does, but it doesnât seem like theyâve followed us, at least.â It was true, if they were they should have found them already. Unless theyâre exceptionally bad at tracking.
âItâs not just that,â he couldnât miss the air that escaped Romans lips, his downcast eyes that filled with something akin to shame, âI felt so lost, I mean, I still do. I wasnât in control; I wasnât protecting you the way I should have, I let a sorcerer get away and now weâre lost.â
Logan sucked in a sharp breath, âMy protection is not of your concern,â he couldnât think of how to respond to the rest without defending an illegal act.
âIt is to me.â
âI managed myself, didnât I?â He let a sly smile play on his face.
Roman huffed, smiling himself too, âThat you did.â
Logan rubbed under his eyes again, displacing his glasses as he did so, âYou really do need rest though, Roman. We have a hard day tomorrow,â he adjusted his glasses, standing up straighter.
Roman looked over towards the trees where they rested, âI suppose I will try.â
âGood, sleep well.â
***
When Logan next awoke it was to the sound of rustling leaves. The fire was out, light smoke making its way into the air as a few embers still fought to stay aglow. It was to be expected that the fire would have died out through the night but it never failed to amaze Logan at how much it fights to stay alive. It was fitting at how people harnessed it, two things refusing to give in.
Sitting up he felt a slight numbing to his abdomen. Looking down to it he could see it healing quickly, almost fully scarred over, making satisfactory work of his spell. He hoped Romans was doing the same, if not he wouldnât be able to hold a sword, and that would make much harder work of defending.
Looking around he spoke aloud, âRoman?â
The man was nowhere to be seen, which was odd at how easy it usually was to spot him. Rustling still escaped from the bushes, and he scrambled to get to his feet and shove his glasses on his face, his head whipping from side to side looking for Roman.
He called out once more, before a loud voice echoed its way over to him.
âLogan! Youâre awake!â Roman came waltzing through the bushes, hands clasped around something.
Loganâs heart still came fast, not daring to calm down even after seeing the Prince safe, âYou worried me, prick.â His shoulders still slumped with relief however, he wasnât even aware he had them so stiff.
Roman gasped, holding a hand to his chest, âIâll have you in the stocks for such language!â
âJust try,â Logan flattened out his shirt, trying his best to get rid of any dirt or stray grass, whilst keeping his voice deadpan and giving a pointed look to Roman.
âFine,â he droned out, âIâll just have you sacked.â
âYou wouldnât dare.â
âTry me.â
Logan rolled his eyes, âYou know no one else would take my job, they couldnât put up with you longer than five minutes.â
Roman laughed, âThatâs why youâre the best.â

Virgil sat on Loganâs bed, picking at his nail polish. He always liked it better chipped.
Logan was out, hence why no one was telling him not to pick too far down and onto his skin. It was a bad habit, really, Logan always stopped him; always by pulling his hands away and holding them in his own until Virgil calmed down.
But right now, Logan wasnât here to hold his hands, or calm him down, and Virgil didnât know which was worse. His mind raced full of possibilities and different outcomes. Logically he knew it wouldnât go over the top terrible, but it was still a slim possibility, and that was bad enough for him.
On one hand if he told Logan how he truly felt, maybe something good could happen, maybe Logan would feel the same. On the other, much more dreadful hand, he would laugh and kick him out, making sure heâd never come back, just so he wouldnât have to ever look at him again and â without even realising it he stood in front of Loganâs book case.
Each book was organised by colour, as he peered closer he could see with each one by name as well, spines in perfect condition without a dent or spill to be seen. Virgil let out a heavy breath of air as he let himself get lost within the titles, debating which one would be a good read. He let the pads of his fingers brush atop the pages, finally settling on one. It was covered in a galaxy print, no fancy styled letters, just plain white and black.
Flipping it over he skimmed over the blurb, and sunk himself to the floor with criss-crossed legs. Surely Logan wouldnât mind if he read it, heâd make sure to put it back in the right place, he probably wouldnât even notice.
He opened the cover, starting on the first page, he always was a slow reader, but it let him imagine it all clearly. It wasnât until page 32 that he felt a light tap on his shoulder, making him jump and close the book. He trailed his eyes upwards, willing himself not to blush as his eyes settled on Logan.
âHello, Virgil,â he started, his voice always so soft and calm, âsorry for disturbing you.â
Virgil tried to stammer out a response more dignified than what did come out, âNo, no, I was, well,â he grumbled to himself quickly, âI was actually waiting for you to come back, sorry for, yâknow,â he held up the book, âIâll put it back.â
âNo need,â he shuffled with his tie as he sat on the bed, âwhat was it you wanted me for?â
Virgil kept his eyes trained downwards, wishing for the floor to swallow him up, how did he ever think he could do this? He was doubtful Logan would let the subject go though, and he hated lying. With a sigh he opened his mouth, promptly shut it again and started over.
âWell, I was just thinking about a lot of stuff,â Logan stayed silent, he always did when Virgil was talkingâthat was one of the many things he liked about him, he let him explain slowly, âweâre friends, good friends, and thatâs great.â Virgil picked at the strings of his hoodie, he knew his eyeshadow must be pitch black, but he doubted Logan would see it anyway.
Peering up through his over hanged hair he could see Logan give a curt nod, watching him intently, it felt as if he was being watched personally by the sun. Another deep breath and he continued.
âI mean, it is great, but,â a specifically hard pull on his hoodie strings, âI think I like you more than that. And itâs fine if you donât, like me that is, but I--â
Logan was in front of him now, holding a hand to his shoulder, more steady this time.
âI do.â
Just like that Virgilâs thoughts were cut short, his mouth still half open from rambling, and he looked up so fast all his eyes settled on was the eyes in front of him. They were beautifully similar to the book he held within his hands, a galaxy in such a small space, and he never wanted to stop exploring them.
âA-are you sure?â He didnât have a clue why he asked it, apart to mortify himself even further.
Logan smiled back, small but brilliant. For a second Virgil didnât know anything but that smile, permanently engraining it into his memories. He could feel Loganâs hand move behind his neck, his thumb rubbing circles underneath his hair line. Warm breath etched across his lips as Logan leaned in closer, his eyesâbeautiful eyes, never breaking contact with his own.
A simple question passed between them. Virgil nodded, small and slow, his mind running so fast with so little thoughts, all screaming yes. Loganâs eyes finally broke his own, glancing down at his lips before pressing his own to them.
Virgil wrapped his own arms around Loganâs shoulders, holding him close and never wanting him to leave. Even once their lips parted he continued to hold him close, and Logan leaned their foreheads together.
âI assume that has answered your question?â There was light to his statement, breathy and poking fun. It only made Virgil fall harder.
âAnd more,â Virgil knew his eyeshadow would be purple, and was grateful Logan didnât make a fuss, he couldnât handle anymore embarrassment right now. Heâd probably explode.
Logan looked back down to the book in Virgilâs lap.
âYou should keep it, itâs very interesting. You like space, donât you?â
Another small nod, not wanting to move his head too far.
âWell, I prescribe you this book then.â Virgil laughed at that, having to break the contact as fits of laughter wrecked his body and Logan smiled so bright.

Logan sighed, sitting down with a huff, eyes closing and not opening as he continued. Roman couldnât tell if it was Logan trying to recite everything or whether it was him being utterly shattered. He settled on both.
âWe were walking through the woods, your horse in hand, when we strayed too far,â Logan adjusted his glasses when they slipped, Roman giving him a quizzical glance, despite knowing he wonât see it. Logan never let him walk to far out. He always got mad when he tried.
âI apologise,â Roman was cut off before he even managed to open his mouth to ask, âI should have kept track, but I was occupied with my thoughts, it was a mistake that wonât happen again.â Roman was once again face to face with how blunt and abstract Logan was, how quick he was to spit out facts and figures, as well as to how he undermines himself.
âLo, itâs fine, I know when Iâm going too far, you shouldnât need to tell me.â
âThat is my job is it not?â His eyes opened now, staring into Roman, ice blue. It reminded him of the shiver he felt not an hour ago, how it coursed through his body, but this time it didnât crack at him, it invited him, trying to pull him in until he froze in ice.
Roman coughed into his arm quickly, âYour job is to help me not start wars by accident or ruin the kingdom.â He rested his head onto his knee in front of him, if he wasnât worried about the bandits finding them he wouldnât hesitate to fall asleep.
âBe that as it may,â Logan continued, his eyes staying open this timeâRoman decided to look away, âthe heathens started coming from all angles, before I knew it one swung down and knocked you out with the pommel of his sword.â Roman reached up to touch his head, feeling a slight lump, hissing when his fingers grazed over it.
âDid they hurt you at all?â
âI am not a concern, I should start patching you up, actually, your hand is bleeding.â
Roman rolled his eyes, tucking his hand away, âIt concerns me, did they?â
With a sigh Logan gave a nod, âDonât fret, itâs not that bad, just a slight cut,â he lifted his shirt slightly, a shallow but long cut hovering above his skin. It didnât look like it belonged anywhere near him. Logan also lifted his head, a slight nick near his ear downwards.
âWe still need to get them done up, at least clean them,â a quick look around reminded him of their situation, âI donât suppose we have anything, do we?â
âI kept the supplies on the horse,â Roman couldnât help but cut him offâ âBetsy.â
âRight, I left them on Betsy. I donât know where she ended up. She ran away once you were hit,â Logan picked up a rock, standing up with his hand against the tree. âHonestly, I donât know how far out we are now,â hearing Logan not know something always made him panic.
Roman stood with him, walking closer to his side as he continued, âBut thereâs some vegetation growing not too far from here from what I can see, maybe thereâs water running further up.â
Roman squeezed his shoulder, âCome on then, letâs find out.â
***
As it turned out, Logan was right. Water splashed over small rocks, making splits throughout the stream. Moss covered the edges of any that poked out and leaves sprung from the sides of the bank. If this wasnât a âget kidnapped and run away to nowhereâ predicament, Roman would have found it rather beautiful.
âHey Lo,â he started as he waved off the excess water from his hands, listening out for Loganâs hum, âwhere did you learn to fight anyway?â
A puff of air escaped from Loganâs lips, obviously trying not to laugh, and pasting on a smug smile instead. âIt was a good skill to learn, my father taught me before I started working for you. I just kept practicing, I suppose I never wanted to let it die out.â
Logan came to sit by him at the riverâs edge, placing his boots next to him and dipping his feet into the water. Roman noticed him flinch at the coldness, but then sunk back into his memories, âMy father would get me to practice every day,â Logan continued.
âDid he teach you how to use a weapon?â A simple question. He couldnât say he wasnât curious, but it would keep Logan occupied too.
âNo, Heavens no,â Logan really did laugh this time, short and sweet before adjusting his glasses again (an obsessive habit, they werenât even slipping this time, Roman would have noticed) âHe always said âYouâll always have something on you to defend with, but it might not be a weapon.â I suppose it came in handy this time.â The memory left a faint smile on his face, creasing his cheeks and eyes.
âWell, thank you, if it wasnât for you I doubt weâd have got out of there,â Roman nudged his side and moved his hand towards the hem of Loganâs top, âNow let me sort this out.â
âRoman, it isnât that bad. Your hand is much worse.â
âEven so, Iâve already washed them, knowing you youâd leave yours until it got infected.â Logan tried to but in a protest, but Roman gave him a pointed look that stopped him in his tracks, âYou know you would, you only ever fuss about other peopleâs injuries.â
Roman continued to hold onto the hem, until Logan rolled his eyes and conceded with a slight nod, âFine. Although Iâm quite capable myself, you know.â
âIâm sure you are,â Roman started to lift up the top, revealing the cut and tutting, âcretins. How dare they,â he cupped water into his hand, letting it flow down onto the cut.
Logan flinched at the cold, this time more harshly, but tried obviously to hide it. A light tinge of pink rose to Loganâs cheeks as Roman rubbed a thumb around the cut, washing off the now drying blood. It suited him, that much Roman knew, it made him look more full, as if every other moment he was so empty; and just like that, Roman never wanted to see him look empty again.
Instead of proclaiming such things, his thoughts died out as he pushed them from his mind, instead focusing on making sure his friend was alright.
âDoes it still hurt?â He could see fresh blood still escaping, although very little.
âNot much,â Loganâs voice came out quiet, his eyes constantly kept downward. It made it harder for Roman to push the thoughts away.
âHere,â he started to pull of the sleeve of his shirt, it was an old one anyway, despite the look of horror on Loganâs face.
âYouâll freeze to death now, you pillock.â It was an insult with an air to it, even though Logan still had a look of concern written across him. Roman laughed, pressing it onto Loganâs skin, whilst trying to ignore the pink that was still on his friendâs cheeks.

Summary: No one said being a Prince would be easy, and no one said being the Princeâs advisor would be a walk in the park. It was anything but, and often very very annoying, and dangerous.
âRoman, Roman wake up,â everything was still foggy, his mind refusing to catch up with the world in front of him. He found himself struggling to remember what happened, heâd have to ask Logan for the details.
Right now all he knew was Logan, hovering above him, was shaking his shoulders, frantically whispering to him. Roman leaned up on his elbow, wincing slightly, âIâm up,â his voice came out far shakier than what he meant it to.
âHurry up, Iâll fix you up later, we have to go.â If Romans mind was keeping up with him, he would be able to note that he had never seen Logan so worried, or heard him be so uncollected. All he did note was how it was all so off, he could barely register it as being real. He knew his legs were moving, his feet crying to stop. He knew Loganâs hand was holding onto his, practically dragging him along.
Stone walls towered around them, flickers of fire grasping at the damp moss and cracks. Despite the warm glow, the cold still broke into his bones, leaving a shiver in every fracture. With every sharp step there was an echo, filling up the passage to near suffocation, the unknown being so frightening. He could feel it consuming him, building up inside, not managing to have a clue about where he was or where he was going. His eyes bored into the back of Loganâs head, determination filling him.
The one man he could trust right now was in front of him, leading him out. That was the only thought he managed to come up with that was good enough to start pushing the fear back down. Logan was smart, if anyone could figure a way out he could, and despite being endlessly confused, he knew he could still fight.
Roman tightened his grip on Loganâs hand, âWhatâs going on? Where are we?â he had the sense to whisper it, though he wasnât sure whether it would be of any use with his breathing being so ragged and steps being so loud. Logan flicked his eyes back, slightly watering, but Roman decided not to comment on it, not till later, his brows furrowed.
âIâll explain when weâre out of here, just trust me, and donât get seen,â and how Roman did trust him.
His head shot up at the sound of clanging metal and shouting voices, eyes meeting Loganâs once more, âshit,â he couldnât even tell who said it, everything happening in such a flurry. The next thing either of them knew was that the walls were pressing against them, the damp soaking into the thin fabric of their clothes. Most alarmingly, swords being held towards them, so close they could almost cut.
Romans heart reached his throat, he could feel it chocking him, he didnât even have his swordâhe checked. A quick glance at Logan, not daring to take his eyes off of these, these monsters, for a second longer, revealed just how torn up with terror he really was.
âWhat do you want,â Roman spat at them, trying his best to keep his glare menacing and not like a wounded puppy. Lifting his head, he looked down at them, the sword being lifted and pushed further, just grazing his neck. He tried not to think about it.
âWe want you,â one of them spoke, all scruffy hair and torn clothes, âyou bring a good price.â A chorus of cheers and mumbles racked through the rest of them, one chucking out, âDead or alive!â He felt sick, and relieved. A strange combination with the swords still standing him down, but at least they werenât after Logan. He shouldnât have to be here, that much he knew.
âFine, but let him go,â a nod towards Logan. Heâd find a way to escape himself later.
âOr what, pretty boy?â One of the men stepped closer, breath scorching and beard so tangled, Roman tried not to wince away. Instead he stood taller, preparing to fight.
He whipped his head around, facing the clang that rattled through the hallway. Logan was poised, leg coming down from the air, presumably where he just kicked someone in the face. The sword at his neck now gone, surging towards Logan.
Roman twister his body, grasping the sword by his hand trying hard to ignore the dull pain it caused. He pulled it up, bringing his other arm down onto the banditâs arm. At least he had a sword now. As soon as he had it in his grip he swivelled round, blocking an attack whilst stepping back towards Logan.
There was about fifteen of them, surrounding them both, all jeering and yelling trying to get a quick cheap slash in. It was clear they didnât play fair. Not like the knights back at the court yard.
Another block, this time too slow, the blade scratching his side. He could faintly hear Logan mumble something, he himself dodging swords, probably a long series of cusses. Roman didnât blame him. A short screech racked his throat as he was pulled backwards, this time no wall being present. The banditâs eyes filled with fog as the wall closed back up, and they were in a different hallway.
âWhat the fuck was that!â Romans mind was ablaze, he had never witnessed magic first hand, only heard of the stories. All of the tragedies it brought along, how it wreaked havoc and tore apart kingdoms.
âCome on,â Logan grabbed his arm before letting go again, pulling him towards the right direction, yet his feet felt airy and light. Roman couldnât pin the feeling down; he was staring to think magic was just a rumour. But what other explanation could there be.
âThereâs light up ahead,â Loganâs voice wasnât hushed anymore, it sounded better.
Once he was out of this hell, he really needed a cry. He was sure Logan probably did too. He spotted more bandits, but they just stood there. Maybe one of them tried a spell and it went horribly wrong. Well, for them, anyway, Roman felt rather grateful. Their eyes were clouded the same as the last ones.
âDo you think theyâll move if I took their Falchion, I lost the sword when that wall opened,â he still whispered, how long would this last?
Logan Rolled his eyes, âDo you really want to risk it? We almost died, Roman.â
âAlmost,â he quipped back. His heart was still racing, but wouldnât it be better if he had a weapon? And preferably, the bandits not.
âRoman, donât,â but Roman already had a grip on the hilt, pulling it out of the belt. He looked back at the banditâs eyes, the fog starting to fade. âRoman, we need to leave. I wonât rescue you again,â Roman saw through the lie, but didnât want to push it. Not when Logan was obviously right.
âLetâs go then,â he started to run with Logan, glancing back to see the bandit coming out of his haze, glancing every which way, âwe should probably hurry.â Roman led slightly in front, trailing through the mountainous trees. Wildlife around them scampered away at the sudden noise, but eventually their breath ran out and they came to a rest.
Roman kicked off his boots, sitting against a tree, picking at the blades of grass below. He watched Logan absently, Logan staring at his feet, brow creased, as it was more than not. âSo,â Roman started, âwhat the hell even happened.â
Virgil awoke to a soft stream of smoke and fog, sending ice cold spikes through his body. He couldnât help the shiver that escaped him, another puff setting off in front of him. His eyes were still half lidded from waking up, his head barley thinking as he tried to take in his surroundings.
Warmth finally started to set in as he pulled his hands up, rubbing at his eyes and letting out a yawn, finally being able to see the scene before him. Not that it helped to re-jog his mind at all.
Metal encased him, apart from the now open hatch in front of him. The chair he sat in was quite comfy however, he felt as if he could melt into it. Well, he would, if only his mind hadnât started to pick up the pace. Where the hell was he.
Lifting up his hand, however shaky it was, he managed to lift himself out by grasping on the edge of the frame. His legs wobbled beneath him as he stretched out, bones cracking satisfyingly. Another sigh left his lips, he felt weightless. Fiscally that is, mentally he was very very heavy.
A window stretched out before him, his feet bouncing over to it, each movement pulling him further from the ground. He grasped his hands on the mental skirting, staring out into a black abyss. Full of stars. He felt his mind pause as he took in the sight, slow explosions of stars in the far distance, light glows of ones still standing.
Laughter bubbled up inside of him, an airy kind, one a mother would give a child when they do something so spectacular. This was more than spectacular.
He took a glance down, his eyes lighting up even more. Pushing himself from the railing he floated downwards, hands pressing against glass. Below him sat a planet, surrounded by rings and rocks. Swirls of orange mixed with blue, a cosmos of colours all in one planet. Rope was leading off of it and up towards him. The ship must be carrying it.
He took back to floating through the corridor, making his way round the ship slowly, not wanting to miss any of the scenery. No matter how hard he tried, his mind wouldnât think of any negative connotations to this. Space always fascinated him, and now somehow he was here. He caught a glance of his reflection, noticing the purple eyeshadow and feeling even more overjoyed, dimples exploding on his cheeks.
Distant chatter made its way over to him, people walking towards him round the corner of the hall. They caught sight of him, smiling warmly and nodding, continuing their conversation as they passed. Was he meant to be here?
A door caught his eye at the end of the hall, wooden and smooth. He felt his curiosity peak, his mind focusing on going towards it. The only thing his mind had been able to fixate on at all since he woke up. He pushed himself off of the wall towards it, staring intently and the handle. Is it really a good idea to open a door in space?
Either way, his hand held onto it, pushing it open with such little force it was as if all he had done was touch it. Smoke once again filled his vision, but this time he opened his eyes to a dimly lit room, the door long gone behind him. Roman filled his vision, as well as his room, everything settling into place.
âVirge? Was it good? Iâm still working on the sceneâŠâ he waved a hand in front of his face, smiling brightly. Virgil felt his own smile returning, easily replacing his confused expression.
âThat was⊠Crowley, that was amazing,â he was practically whispering, still in awe. âHow, how did you do that? It felt so realâŠâ he felt like laughing, so many emotions bubbling over.
âIâve been practicing; I didnât realise it would be that well put together!â Roman beamed, obviously proud of his work. He felt like telling him he should be. Not proud of the work, but of himself. Work is meant to be marvelled at, but Roman isnât his work, heâs so much better. Heâs the creator.
Virgil really did laugh this time, holding onto his stomach with tears pricking at his eyes. âIt was wonderful!â He opened his arms to hug tight around Roman, he knew his purple eyeshadow had returned but he couldnât bring himself to care. âIt was wonderful Roman, youâre amazingâ he laughed into Romans hair before moving back, smiling brightly.
Romans eyes glistened, his grin widening before he spoke so softly; âThank you.â

That was fun to write! I wasnât too sure where to go with it, but it felt good to start writing again.
Wanna write some remy and virgil friend shenanigans?
"Honey, babe, cmon stop that worrying," Remy nudged into his side as Virgil let out a huff.
"You're the one who should be worrying!" Virgil gave a nudge back, bumping arms with the other boy as he leaned forwards. His eyes narrowed as he stared ahead.
Remy just laughed, leaning backwards and placing his legs on the coffee table, shooting a smirk to Virgil. When the other didn't look back he decided to poke him with his foot instead.
"Ew Rem, stop! And get your feet off of my table, that's gross," Virgil stayed focused in front of him, "you won't make me lose, I need that ÂŁ20."
Virgil kept his hands firm on the controller, creating combos of hits succession after succession. He stood up, standing straight as Remys health bar lowered further.
"Wait, babes, when did you get this good!"
Virgil laughed at his friends realisation.
"When money was involved."
The sound of 'K.O' ran through the room, along with a wail of defeat and a cheer to pair with it.
"You can pay me in Mcdonalds," Virgil jumped back onto the sofa, "I'll get you a coffee to cure your wallows."
"You know me so well," Remy smiled, grabbing Virgil to pull him into a tight hug, "I'm so tired," he droned. Virgil glanced at the clock, settling into the hug.
"It's only 1am."
"Remind me not to let you have any food then, gremlin," he held him tighter as he got flicked repeatedly.
"Shut up, food is better at night and you know it!"
Remy laughed, "just stop flicking me and I'll order something!" Virgil smiled back at him.
"And a movie?"
"Of course."

Hey, thanks for tge prompt! Sorry it took so long, life got busy and was also ratger tiring! But anyway, here it is, I hope it isn't too bad, I've never wrote Remy before so this was fun! Have a good day! :)
"Roman, I... I don't really know what to think." Virgils voice was breathless, voice barley above a whisper, he felt as though he was walking on egg shells. He wanted to collapse into his arms, believe that it was the truth. How could he though, his mind raced of possibilities, how it could all be one sick jo--
"Don't think then, just kiss me..." Romans voice was just as quiet, normally in his room he'd be extra loud. They just finished playing a game when Roman spilled his feelings for the smaller side.
Virgils face became a dark pink, his eyes cast down as he thought, he wanted to. He really wanted to kiss him right now, but what if it was a trick. He'd never kissed anyone before, this would be his first.
Roman slid his hand under his chin, lifting his head up to look into his eyes. Virgil spoke tentatively, not knowing whether what he'll say will be right, "I don't know how..."
Slowly Roman leaned in, Virgil could feel his breath on his lips, Romans face tinted pink, both boys flushed. "I can show you..."
"Okay," Virgil breathed out, closing the distance, Romans hand coming up to caress Virgils cheek, and the other reaching to the side of him, holding and pulling him closer, both boys chests now flush against one another.
Eyes slowly shut as they moved with each other, both pouring into the kiss, neither wanting to stop, not even if the world was ending. Not even if they ran out of air.
