I fear that one of the many repercussions of this will be that girls who are forced to undergo this unneeded and unnecessary medical exam is that because of the trauma it will cause, and lets be real it will traumatize these children, that as they get older they will avoid gynecology health care.
I think any doctor who goes through with performing these exams or is willing to perform such exams should be investigated by the medical state board. This goes against medical ethics, best practices, child psychology, the Hippocratic oath, and how pediatric medicine is done.
This is the the state and parents condoning medical sexual assault and rape of minors.
If it was truly about protecting children then this would never have become law. This will only do long term damage, on multiple levels, to children.
I sincerely hope no parents actually go through with forcing their children to be examined.

then they started fighting Covid precautions.

now my parents think climate change is a myth.

then they told me that protesting for my Black siblings was wrong.
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that we needed to give to the poor. working at soup kitchens. making quilts. collecting food and money and supplies. building houses. because it was the christian and just plain right thing to do.
now they look at me, on food stamps with their grandchildren, and lament the "welfare state".
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven and that any rich man, especially an immoral one, should never run our country.

I’m a lil late to the party but eh. The Loki series got me back into a marvel rewatchathon. Loki’s journey was something wasn’t it.
Plants incorporated: spider lilies, clock vine, lotus, sunflower petals and buds, 4 o’clock flowers, cherry blossom branches, and cyclamen flowers.

there are things you should be doing now to prevent yourself from starting to look like 🥀
Why does it matter? Future you would like to avoid the pain, limited motion, and fall risk that goes along with worsening posture.
What’s the focus?
1. Keep the flexibility in your spine
2. Stretch the muscles in the front
3. Strengthen the muscle in the back
Here are some simple things you can do daily while sitting and when you get up to go into the bathroom or the kitchen
Keep the flexibility by doing these repeated movements: 10 repetitions several times a day
The goal is to give yourself a double or triple chin. Keep your nose pointing forward, don’t let it tip up or down
Thoracic extension- use a chair with a seat back that comes up to the level of your shoulder blades. Try to bend back over the top of the chair without arching away from the seat back and without extending your neck. If the pressure from the top of the chair is uncomfortable you can place a towel there
Stretch the muscles in the front by using a door frame. This one will feel good afterwards
If this isn’t enough of a stretch you can do one side at a time. If you have the right arm up step forward with the right foot and turn slightly to the left. Then do it on the other side.
Strengthen the muscles in the back by squeezing your shoulder blades together for a count of 10 and then repeating 10 times. You can do this several times a day Hint: Don’t lift your shoulder blades up
There are lots more exercises for strengthening your back muscles but this is a good starting point and easy to do. I like doing it while driving

Do the best you can
If it hurts stop
Envision future you saying thank you each time you do one of the exercises

[C-3PO] Well, Princess Leia is wondering about Master Luke. He hasn’t come back yet. She doesn’t know where he is. [Han] I don’t know where he is. [C-3PO] Nobody knows where he is.
There’s a lot to unpack in this scene. I deeply appreciate the character development, the layers. We’re seeing the part of Han he’s tried to lock away because it’s messy and usually involves feelings like concern, worry, obligation, responsibility…yeah, he’s tried to escape those with his smuggler lifestyle. (Nice try, though, he absolutely has those things with his partnership friendship with Chewbacca.) If he’s going to have unpredictable, it better be the kind that gets his heart racing and brings in money (so he tells himself). This is a shift from A New Hope Han, and I have always been here for it.
