Exactly. Adam makes a 180 on so many things that are built up to be incredibly important to him, especially by the end of TDT, that him suddenly realizing he doesn’t need to wish, or realizing that Gansey was just trying to help, has no anchor. It’s just to us, that Adam is ok, not shown, and for all the tension and conflict this all created in the past, makes it anitclimatic to a borderline cop out.

I'm 21 and I'm depressed. "You should be over this cause you're 15" is bullshit, and you should tell them that. Then again, I don't know what your situation is exactly and what your relationship with your parents is. But tell them that you need to trust each other. That if they trust you and believe you and help you, you will trust them in return. And because you trust them, you will warn them if things get worse, so that they would have to worry about you attempting suicide again.

2 - It doesn't mean I don't matter, but it means that my problems, although they seem so insurmountable to me, aren't really. Or at least I believe that they aren't for a few moments and I feel lighter and much better. Try that. Or try to think about nothing for a few minutes. It's hard, but tell yourself that fuck it, whatever you're going through, just ignore it, plain and simple, if only for a few minutes. It feels so good.

thinking of these things as insignificant makes things worse, but i can try the thinking about nothing thing. i don't know if i can't shut myself down like that though. i'll try it. there's nothing i won't try at this point. i just really want to stop this, you know? regardless of how young i am. it sucks to go through no matter what.

(same anon) 1 - I think you should talk to your parents, like /seriously/ talk to them if you feel like they're drifting away and forgetting about what is happening to you. Be honest. Be raw. You're too young to go through this shit and you need to get help. And there's something I do when I feel so shitty I can't get out of bed: I close my eyes and think about how big the world is and how small I am; how insignificant.
