In this article, “The Four Stages of a Complete Manager,” by Helen G. Lollis in Talent Management Magazine (May 2012), a complete manager is cited as:
Credible
An active follower
An effective networker
Skilled at giving and receiving feedback
Attuned to corporate culture
A proactive career planner
Politically savvy
Skilled at balance - risk/reward, priorities, life
Focused on developing talent
A continuous and integrative learner
