They are all probably part truth and part myth but this is my favourite one... Almost everyone needs a good cup of coffee in the morning to get them going and according to the legend it's all because of the 9th century Ethiopian goat- herder named Kaldi, Kaldi was the first to discover the potential of the beloved beans when he observed his goats behaving erratically after eating the red berries from a coffee arabica tree. He then tried himself and was soon acting as full of energy as his herd! Sound familiar?! Whether fact or fiction it's a nice tale to tell and illustrates the potency of coffee. One can't help think that Kaldi must have thought he'd struck gold after that first taste of what is now in every corner of the earth!
