[ Porcelain gets a Call || Part 2 ]
”Alright, just let me pan the camera over…”
There’s scuffling noises on the other end, until a very injured Frosty appears.
She gives no response, tears flowing down her cheeks.
Porcelain’s own cheeks immediately become red. Is this really happening?
She can’t believe what she’s seeing. If this really is her Valentina, then she just fell in love with her all over again. She clears her throat before responding.
“Tina, baby, is that you?”
Much to Porcelain’s surprise, upon hearing that name, Frosty’s gaze immediately locks on hers. She feels her heart skip a beat.
Frosty doesn’t give a verbal response, but does make a small sound when she hears the name ‘Tina.’
It is her. Porcelain couldn’t believe it.
“It’s Amberlynn. You remember me, right?”
Frosty blinks a few times in response.
Once it clicks in her head, her expression changes.
Frosty's mouth opens, but no words leave her lips. Even though she doesn't verbally respond, she is clearly extremely happy to see Porcelain and be able to hear her voice.
“Damn it, this isn’t going to work if she isn’t willing to speak.”
Her gaze shifts to Zephyr’s.
“Hey, do that thought reading thing again. This is going to be extremely difficult if you don't.”
“Sure thing, babes, just allow me to…”
When their eyes open back up, they're glowing yellow, as well as their markings, fingers and horn rings.
“Tina, listen. I want you to think about what you want to say. You don’t have to say it out loud, just think about it. Thanks to Zephyr, whatever you think of we will all be able to hear for the time being. Do you—“
Before Porcelain can finish her sentence, Frosty’s thoughts are read out in her exact tone of voice.
”…Is that really you, Amber?”
Porcelain’s heart throbbed in her chest.
She couldn’t help but smile.
“Look at you! You’re so beautiful, even more beautiful than you were when we first met.”
”Why are you covered in blood? Who hurt you?”
Frosty pauses, her gaze drifting to the ground.
Porcelain blinked. Did she hear her right?
“Are you absolutely positive it was her?”
“‘Course it is. Why wouldn’t it be? We both saw her, not to mention so many other people did.”
Porcelain was about to get upset.
Then spontaneously realized that he probably doesn’t know. She cleared her throat.
“Oh. That means she didn’t tell you.”
Control sighs, rubbing his forehead.
“You have to be a bit more specific than that. There are a lot of things she never bothered to tell me.”
Frosty seems extremely guilty.
Porcelain takes a deep breath.
“Boreas has been dead for 10+ years.”
Uh oh! It turns out Boreas— isn’t actually Boreas!
