World Buzz: Two August Music Festivals Too Hot to Miss

The Cure. Beck. Mumford & Sons. Vampire Weeked. The Lumineers. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Tegan and Sara.  What do these musical acts all have in common—other than being insanely talented? They will ALL be playing at BOTH Osheaga and Lollapalooza, this weekend’s two most-hyped events.  

Since 2006, larger and larger crowds have been gathering in Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal for The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival.  This festival, known to feature mainly indie acts along with a few mainstream headliners, has become a can’t-miss event for fans from all over the world.  Lollapalooza, which takes place in downtown Chicago’s Grant Park, manages to host over 160,000 music-loving fans each year.  Plus, on top of the stellar selection of music, Lollapalooza also features dance and comedy performances as well as a farmer’s market.  With two impressive and options, we understand if you have a hard time choosing.
