My close female friend has recently announced she is trans, going by a man's name, and will not be wearing makeup or shaving. The thing is... While I can't understand someone's internal life, I don't think she's trans. I think she wants to do GNC things and no longer wishes to be oppressed for being female, and she sees those things as meaning she is a man.
That’s the whole thing: makeup + shaving + femininity does not = woman. Transsexuals might have body dysphoria which may cause them to want the anatomy similar to the opposite sex, so I get calling yourself a ‘woman’. But some transgender people still keep their dicks and want access to female only spaces. If chromosomes, hormones and anatomy separates the biological sexes, and it’s obvious that gender oppresses females - then how is transgender a thing? I get that they’re victim to patriarchy - but you know who suffers the MOST from patriarchy? Females - and we are constantly silenced and spoken over by transgender women. Transgender women even complain that trans men have more privilege than them. It’s just a joke. It’s just another way women get put to the side in order for male wishes to be prioritized.
