Hi, I'm CookedTRex. I'm a 25 year old cisgender woman! I identify as bisexual. I'm an American from the Southern United States.

This is mostly a sonic franchise fan blog. I also dabble in Beastars, Lackadaisy, and a bit of Bridgerton on this blog. I also may post time to time about politics too although I try to keep this to a minimum on this blog because this is the account I like to have fun on!

I also have been known to make fan art and write silly little fan theories/think pieces here and there too.

Short rant on AI Sonic Art

AI Sonic art makes me so mad. Like literally they're cartoon characters specifically designed by a megacorp to be drawn in a quick yet orderly manner. Like they're all circles with triangles on them and instead of picking up a pencil you AI generated Sonic the Hedgehog characters?

There are A LOT of tutorials on how to draw Sonic characters from official artists as well as fan artists with their own styles. Stop being lazy. Stop having a fixed mindset that only certain people can do art.

But I'm not just mad about that. They're also selling said generated art on Etsy. So not only are they distributing official Sega product without a proper license, but they're scraping the art of official and fan accounts to make said art and they're selling it. Look, if you're gonna sell merch with characters you DON'T own on it, at least draw that shit yourself.
