Dark times all around but there are still people out there who love you

Do not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.

Why it isn’t okay to write smut about kpop idols who are legal where you live but aren’t in Korea

I’ve seen a couple (thankfully not many) people saying that it’s ok to write smut about idols (currently the 00’ line of any group but next year it would be the 01’ line) who are legal in counties such as the US but are not in South Korea, and I want to explain why I don’t think it’s okay.

It’s because it’s not about you or your standards, it’s about T H E M, and T H E Y live in a place where they are minors.

Let me explain it another way in case you don’t understand. Let’s say you’re 16 or something and people are writing sexual content about you, and it makes you uncomfortable because you’re a minor. Then someone could argue it’s fine for them to do it since the legal age is like 14 where they live or something. This person isn’t taking into account your feelings on the matter because “iTs LegAL wHeRe I LiVe sO iTs FiNE”

Another way to put it that’s similar I can think of is this. Let’s say you’re on a holiday in a foreign country and you steal something from a shopkeeper. The sentence in that country is a fine, just like it is in your country, except in this country the fine is quite a bit bigger. It would be like saying that you should be fined the cost in your country because you’re from there, even though you stole in the foreign country from a person who lives there.

These reasons are also why saying that you’re a minor too isn’t a valid reason to write smut about other minors, because it isn’t about you, it’s about the content being written about them.

Only to say one thing: Jennie haters can suck on my middle finger. Leave the girl the fuck alone. People on the internet be preaching about mental health and calling someone a bitch, a whore in the same breath. Jennie can never win with these idiots, I swear. Before she was being criticised for dancing too hard, outshining the other members and now the opposite. Not to mention the “sleep with the CEO”, “has an attitude”, “attention seeker” bullshit she gets just for breathing. I bet you my dog she wouldn’t be getting any of this if she was a man. It’s the 21st century but people just have to come for female idols’ throats if they are anything less than perfect or become too successful. And the sad part is, majority of them are girls who don’t realise their internalized misogyny.

Your “constructive criticism” ass can take a hike because Jennie will remain successful, bathing in gallons of Chanel perfume while you type out your haterade with Cheeto fingers and live in your mom’s basement.
