killing people who let their cats roam unsupervised outdoors with my mind. “they’re happier outdoors and I don’t want to upset them by locking them inside” then YOU supervise your cats when they’re outside and then keep them inside after outdoor time is up. cats can be dumb. they don’t always know what is best for them. they don’t always know what is safe for them. if you’re not letting your 3 year old kid play in the street outside unsupervised 24/7 even if letting them be in the street outside unsupervised 24/7 is “what makes them happy”, you don’t let your cats be outside unsupervised. it is your responsibility as their owner to keep them safe. otherwise you don’t deserve to own a cat at all
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LIVES THAT DEPEND ON YOU

It’s impossible

Supergirl is. So Good.
Go watch it gogogogogogo its so good do NOT listen to the assholes on the internet its so good!!!!!! Right now go its still in theatres its so good!!!! At least as good as Superman cmon wake up people its so good!!!
Its more somber because it is about loss of family and about dealing with it but its also really fun! I did cry several times. But i also laughed several times! Ana Noguiera and Craig Gillespie thank you! Milly Alcock i knew you would be incredible since i saw you pop by in Superman and you KILLED IT. Phenomenal performance. Eve Ridley also killed it! Jason Momoa was so fun!
Kara and Clark are so delightfully awkward with each other
Its so emotional but also so fun
You see her and you root for her so much and she does it.
Her hair is a mess the whole time and she has like no makeup on and she doesnt flirt with a single person the whole time and shes rude and not put together and she wears matching red safety shorts under her skirt and She Is Everything to me
No wonder the superhero bros hate her SHES NOT FOR THEM. SHES FOR ME!!!!!! And all the girls out there. Go watch it!
why do bad things happen to good characters
The person I reblogged this from is hella rad
Ok but like. She’s an alcoholic. She’s angry. She’s grieving and it’s messy. She pisses people off on purpose. She cares about her dog more than anything. She maybe kidnapped a thirteen year old. She’s grumpy. She starts bar fights. She hasn’t done the dishes in weeks. She breaks things and hit people. I love her.
just found out scrolling through tumblr wouldn’t make me closer to finishing my wips and if I wanted to make some progress on my fic, I’d have to write. shocking
PSA: NEW SCAM ALERT
AO3 team will NEVER contact you via your fic’s comments section!!!!!!!!
if you get a comment from someone claiming to be from AO3 in any way, shape or form, IT IS A SCAM.
if you get a comment from someone claiming they work with AO3 and that your AO3 account has been compromised or restricted somehow and that you must contact xyz or open a link they give, IT IS A SCAM.
they want to hack your account and/or steal your credit card/personal information (because the link they want you to click on will require your login info and/or your other sensitive information!!!!)
*the same scam tactic can be seen on tumblr where these scammers claim to be someone from tumblr team too
DO. NOT. FALL. FOR. IT!!!!!!
here’s AO3’s official statement about it
here’s the post I made that covered other types of bots

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
Cab Calloway and the Nicholas brothers! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the colorized version of this before!
I haven’t seen it in color either! It’s a fantastic dance scene!!
Fred Astaire once told the brothers that this dance number was the greatest movie musical sequence he had ever seen. Numerous articles have been written about this whole dance being filmed in one take and unrehearsed. As unbelievable as that sounds, the Nicholas Brothers confirmed it in an interview shortly before their recognition at the 14th Annual Kennedy Center Honors. The choreographer, Nick Castle, said, “Just do it. Don`t rehearse it, just do it.” And so it was done, unrehearsed and in one take, which relieved Harold Nicholas because he did not want to do the rigorous routine over and over all night.[14][3][15]
In another signature move, they would rise from a split without using their hands.[3] Gregory Hines declared that if their biography were ever filmed, their dance numbers would have to be computer-generated because no one now could emulate them.[3] Ballet legend Mikhail Baryshnikov once called them the most amazing dancers he had ever seen in his life.[16]
This Actually Really Works Don’t forget to share us to your friends
This news is making a big splash in the collecting communities but i haven't seen anything about it on tumblr yet so:
The Crunchyroll store will be paywall-locked to the top two subscription tiers of paying users only starting in August. Anime physical media will be cut off for purchase without a minimum of a $140/year subscription.
Currently CR is the only place selling Aniplex titles, and those are already horrifically expensive on their own. Now CR (owned by Sony) is saying you can't even spend that money without paying for the privilege of shopping there.
This is 100% another symptom of Sony's monopoly practices. 10 to 15 years ago we had a variety of distributors for physical media. RightStuf, Aniplex, Funimation, and Crunchyroll were all independent of each other and all of them offered different series. In the last decade Sony bought and merged them all, dropped dozens of Funimation titles when porting them to Crunchyroll, closed the RightStuf warehouse distributors, and has been clear-cutting the Crunchyroll store which had turned into the only distributor of all those previous sources. 90% of the stock of physical products has been cleared from the shop and what's left are slim pickings of a few massively expensive popular titles. This is the same Sony that promises that physical discs will not be offered for games for the PS6, so I don't have high hopes for their plan for continuing releasing physical media.
Anime is already harder to source, as buying directly from Japanese publishers often doesn't include English subtitles and certainly won't have dubbed audio. If a US licensing company's license expires, the series will go out of print and vanish from streaming with literally no warning and often never coming back. (Just this month Crunchyroll lost over a dozen titles, including Barakamon and Black Lagoon among others.) Physical media is also one of the only ways that older bonus content is preserved, like dub directors commentary or interviews with the cast, and sometimes if a series is relicensed for streaming, it has to be altered (such as Evangelion's rerelease losing the rights to play the original set of Fly Me To the Moon endings and the original dub).
Where do I get physical media now?
The r/AnimeCollectors and r/AnimeDeals subreddits share resources for sales, deals, and places to look to find a specific series you might be hunting for.
AnimeDeals specifically also has users that highlight ebay stores that often resell deadstock from Walmart/Target at steep discounts, so keep your eye out for those. Recently picked up the full series of Yuu Yuu Hakusho for a total of $35!
There are still some competing distributors of new-print anime. Sentai Filmworks, MediaOCD, and DiabolikDVD are all distributors that sell things CR won't. Sentai is currently running a summer sale and the subreddits will point out good prices when they come around.
Amazon (ugh) does often sell Crunchyroll series that CR's own store doesn't stock anymore. Recently the redditor Aside_Intrepid also released a guide on how to use Amazon's location data to find location-based coupons that apply to blu-ray as well. The same instructions can be found on blu-ray.com
Buy a regionless dvd and blu-ray player and buy Region 2 discs. They're usually still the US dub with English subtitles, but STEEPLY cheaper than US licensed releases.
Keep an eye on secondhand media stores, FB Marketplace, and animedeals for people destashing and selling their collections. Thrifting can land you some great finds, especially for harder-to-obtain older series.
Piracy and torrenting are always options, and with how the industry (especially Sony and Netflix) seem to despise physical media it's likely that more and more people will have to lean on that as their primary step. I do love piracy but I also love my physical media collection!
i LOVE my ocs having relationships with other people‘s ocs!!!!!!!!!!
By the way it's like. Really fucked how society's thoughts on epilepsy is just "get over it." Seizures can cause permanent brain damage. Seizures can kill people. Seizures hurt like hell. Allow me to reiterate that seizures can kill people. And you're just gonna casually put flashing lights, a common trigger for seizures in your advertisement, in your animation meme, in your edit, on your billboards, without even thinking about putting a simple disclaimer? That's unbelievable. Your little anime edit could deadass cost a life and you're not gonna put a warning because it's "inconvenient" or "people like that shouldn't be on the internet" (ableist) (the problem exists outside the internet also). Or you'll give insufficient ones like putting it in the captions or only giving like one second before the flashing lights appear, meaning that the trigger's already in motion before anyone who needs the warning can read it and save themselves from literal physical danger.
We need to start commenting under other people's posts about how to properly warn for flashing lights and eyestrain. We need to be emailing and calling companies about their possibly triggering advertisements that could induce seizures. We need to stop tolerating ableism and start speaking up for the more vulnerable.
Also, stop putting epilepsy warnings. That's like saying "warning: schizophrenia" on a post including unreality or "warning: dyslexia" on a post with a typing quirk. First off, the disability mentioned isn't the only group of people that this could trigger. Second, it doesn't truly get the message across and instead makes it worse for those with the disability-- scrolling through the epilepsy tag on Tumblr should get you to view the content of other epileptic people, but no, you just get a bunch of flashing lights and eyestrain, even though you could instead tag for, oh I dunno, flashing lights and eyestrain.
Anyways this Disability Pride, and for every month that comes after, think about epileptic people and others who are triggered by flashing lights/eyestrain. Happy pride to those who experience seizures too frequently due to the unaccommodating and ableist societies we live in!
All of this is worth the read, so reblogging for visibility.
Just to try and help out and spread the word, there are two chrome extensions I've found that might be able to help.
Seizafe: This extension scans youtube videos and warns you if they contain things like flashing lights that could cause a seizure.
CogniShield: This extension (supposedly, it has like no reviews) dims the screen to a safe level if flashing lights are detected; it can also be used to limit volume. It might help.
