my favorite thing about the good place ending was tahani, because she’s been in 2 love triangles in the show and still ended single. not because she was ugly or made bad choices or had a bad personality, but because she didn’t find the right person at the right time.

and soulmates aren’t real in the afterlife, apparently. she’s clearly single. getting a partner wasnt on her list of over 9000 things she wanted to do to feel complete. she valued learning skills and reconciling with her family over finding a husband. the good place was perfect, and she didn’t need someone else to boost her self worth anymore.

she mentioned in season 3 (i think) that she’s “never had a really friend that i could just be myself around” and that she’d been lonely all her life, but was able to trust the gang, her friends. she found companionship and love in platonic friends, and that was all paradise meant to her.

Y’know I reblogged this a bit ago and was saved from financial probation and getting kicked out of school because of it, just mere months from graduation. Got a call from the financial aid advisor telling me that they made a mistake with filing my account (or some other sort of clerical error) and said that, basically, they owe me money. Welp.
