Hello! I’m Homestuck Examination, and for a while now I have been doing Class and Aspect analysis stuff. With the advent of the Canon Aspect Quiz and some pretty interesting explanations of each Aspect, I decided to make a Class Quiz, which you can take following this link:

Ever since I made this Quiz, people have been asking me to go more in-depth about some of the Classpect Combinations, and until now I’ve been answering them separately- But then, given they just kept coming and repeated ones kept popping up in my Inbox I thought, what the hell? I may as well do every single one of them broadly and get it over with!
Below I’ll post links to analysis for each Class individually on its own, and a broad view over how each Class Pair would interact with each Aspect.

A foreword about this analysis, the pairings may not exactly match up your personal Headcanons, specially talking about the Knight/Page alignment and the Sylph/Maid and Heir/Witch pairings, but I do explain my reasoning in the analysis, and you should check this if you want a more in-depth analysis about the reasoning between these pairings and power ideas.
Furthermore, Classes sharing the same Verb are similar enough with their powers that they may be interchangeable- So what a Bard of Time can do, a Prince of Time likely can, and so on, so if you don’t exactly agree with my analysis, make sure to check the Passive/Active counterpart!
Hope my analysis helps you come to terms with your own Classpect, or think of fun interactions and things Players could do within a Session!

Im gonna put it under a read more cuz this got out of hand very quickly lmao
The timeline is majorly changed so that p4 takes place sssomewhere around 2015-ish? As soon as the IT get done with Yu's fool's journey and lift the fog from Inaba, Naoto gets arrested on false charges in another town. [Timeline might change somewhat in the future but for now this is all I got lmao]
Because theyre in a different town and there isnt someone like Dojima to back them up, its back to being looked down on for being young. Though Naotos able to handle it much better, it still means that their reputation among the police is uhhh, not so great, especially since they have such a blunt attitude. So combine the fact that Shido has these cops in his pocket AND the cops dont really like Naoto? Yeah theyre gonna 'believe' Shido over Naoto.
SO Naotos arrested, the trial is astronomically short due to so much corruption [and so i can make the timelines fit together but shhh] and twinktective is sent to Shujin to "straighten out."
Sidebar: while looking into it, i found out that Shujin is like, pretty prestigious for a school(I THINK) and was wondering why a delinquent would be allowed to attend. As far as i could tell Kobayakawa just wanted Shujin to have the rep of "fixing" delinquents i think? At least thats the reasoning im using here, because then Kobayakawa sees an opportunity to spin a narrative, like this:
The well regarded “First Detective Prince” has fallen from grace, committing a terrible act of assault for some reason or other [I imagine the courts make up some reason abt Naoto ‘acting out due to perceived disrespect’] and with this criminal record, the previously acclaimed teen detective finds his options for school limited. But! in comes the gracious principal of Shujin Academy, offering to accept the delinquent into his school and help him get back on track. Shujin’s reputation increases as they manage to put the famous detective prince "back on track."
side side bar: No matter what pronouns you use for Naoto, in this au i imagine they present as male in public and for the sake of their job. I imagine the matter of his AGAB wouldnt come up in court either cause it wouldnt help prosecution, Naoto being male just helps them story wise. Back to regular sidebar.
I imagine with Naotos popularity and Shujin being the rumor mill it is, most people already knew somethin was up with their sudden transfer to Shujin, but the details were kinda vague at first. Initial rumors suggested it was an urgent case in the area [Maybe there were rumors they were investigating Kaneshiro, or even Kamoshida] but then Naotos criminal record was leaked and now everyone knows about "the detective that assaulted someone." The difference from Akiren here is that a lot more rumors are about Naoto being a corrupt detective - absolutely wild rumors like "I heard he killed a buncha guys and was able to cover it up cuz hes a detective" and "he definitely covers up evidence for his criminal buddies" and theres at least one rumor out there insinuating that they were an accomplice to Adachi but got away scot-free, which Naoto fuckin hates.
Also, i think Kobayakawa would encourage the leaking of Naotos criminal record because it adds to his narrative. So really its Kamoshida AND Kobayakawa behind that here.
wow this was a long sidebar, anyways-
Yeah so on their way to Yongen-Jaya, they see the metaverse app and then experience time freezing. They see the giant pillar of fire before things return to normal and immediately connect it to shadow bullshit.
They shoot off a heads up to the IT [who Naotos been in contact throughout this whole ordeal] before continuing on.
They find Leblanc, where they meet Sojiro who says Naoto will be living there for the same reasons as canon [A regular is acquainted with Naotos Grandfather]. Though their first impressions of eachother are a lot rockier than in canon, what with Sojiro going on about not sticking their nose into other peoples business and Naoto having been a professional at exactly that. Naoto is forced to hold their tongue because he IS housing them and also is their legal guardian during probation. Anyways, they clean up the attic a bit before fallin asleep and officially meet the Velvet Room. Should be noted that Igor here still has the squeaky voice cause otherwise i think he'd be caught like, so fast. They get the general rundown, barely get any answers before they wake up and IMMEDIATELY snitch to the IT. Yu especially is a bit surprised, since this means Naotos a wildcard now but he reassures them that yeah, the Velvet Room is cryptic like that. [maybe theres a bit of suspicion but regrettably i dont know that much about the Velvet Room to really confirm that]
ANYWAYS Sojiro takes them to Shujin the next day, they get their uniform, Kawakami is introduced as their homeroom teacher and the general rundown of their situation is explained. The detective prince title is prolly brought up atleast once.
then its first day of school!!! Yippee!!!
At this point, my thoughts on everything are pretty scattered and the logic is sometimes held together with sticks and midnight delusions so bear with me:
Naoto heads out, briefly runs into Ann and Kamoshida, meets Ryuji and then mmaaybe? notices the whole transition into the Metaverse? Or feels somethin off but since theres no visual change until the castle they dont outwardly react. UNTIL they actually see the castle.
Through reasons i havent fully thought out yet, they go into the castle [Running idea atm is that Ryuji just kinda heads in and Naoto is baffled at this display of nonchalance and is forced to follow? Idk this the same dude that asks the weird knights if theyre students so i think hes just accepting the stiuation at face value in this moment. or trying to act cool]. They encounter the Knight Shadows, but since theyre horrifically unarmed, Naoto and Ryuji get caught off guard and are captured.
Theyre in the dungeon, Ryujis life is in danger and Naoto "reawakens" a persona. I say "reawaken" because similar to Akechi, Naoto gets 2 main personas: Yamato-Sumeragi(True Self) and a new persona, Du Vall(Spirit of Rebellion). Naotos status as a wildcard means that their True Self and their Spirit of Rebellion get to manifest as two different Personas :}. Also mostly my excuse to draw up a persona design lmao
They escape the cell, meet Morgana, who lowkey beefs with them cuz wdym you know about shadows and have a persona but still got captured 🤨🤨🤨 Naoto does not need this pointed out.
finally, they get out of the metaverse with Morganas help, at which point they lie to police because Naoto knows that saying "we were in a castle" will just get them checked for drugs.
And thats the most of my notes atm! Admittedly this is as far as ive gotten, not counting my scattered thoughts abt this au which i WILL share here:
Akechi is of course still here and is still titled as the "second detective prince" though people definitely like him more now. Especially police, because funnily enough i think the biggest difference in how either one of them is received by police comes down to charisma. Naoto has fucking terrible charisma in comparison to "Pleasant Boy" Akechi.
Prior to Naotos Arrest, Akechi probably looked up to/envied his predecessor. However After Naotos arrest, that view kinda switches up to where Akechi feels some sort of superiortiy over them. Smthn smthn even with all the resources Naoto was born into[fifth generation of the famed Shirogane detectives] they still managed to lose it all while Akechi earned all his acclaim through his own merit and clawed his way to the top despite being born with nothing. Atleast thats how Akechi views things.
Naoto Spirit of Rebellion Persona is based on Claude Du Vall, a French Highwayman who, according to legend, abhorred violence and was courteous to his victims. He was said to be a Noble man before falling into a life of robbery, which i think fits with Naoto being a detective "Prince" who becomes the leader of a band of thieves.
Im lowkey playing around with the idea of Rise transffering to shujin because i admit, im a Naorise truther o7. AND this Au is self indulgent in the first place. Though id have to figure out how she fits into things then... other than her, I know Yu is somewhere nearby, probably at a different school [mmmaybe Kosei?] or smthn.
Speaking of them, i think the IT probably also get a confidant link, but as a group.
I like to think the personas have some semblance of sentience in this au so Yamato and Du Vall are in Naotos ear like, 24/7 lmao
