ICE now tackling press.
Source.
Interview where he talks about what happened.
A photographer for Getty isn't even a journalist so much as an archivist. ICE violently disrupted the apolitical documentation of what they were doing, violating any and all rights that might flimsily stand in their way. It would have been just as wrong had they done this to an MSNBC reporter hellbent on a spin, but now Abernathy's neutral action as a photographer has been rendered necessarily political by ICE's violence.
They know what they're doing is objectively evil. They have no intention of stopping.
previous tags from @nihilisticspacequeer, which provide a bit of context for why Abernathy threw his (extremely expensive) camera
I am sorry but why is the Tadc fandom so fucking pressed about Ribbit's gender reveal? Like this is absolutely insane, and why? Because people shipped her and Jax and they want Jax to be gay or something.
First off, we don't even know anything of their relation beforehand, so you are just disagreeing with a canon gender of a character just because it doesn't fit your yaoi. The fact that that seems to be the main reason people are upset about it just confuses me so much.
"Oh no, I don't have my gay characters anymore, which by the way I made gay in my head even though there was never any proof for it, because I cannot comprehend the idea of men having strong platonic relations without anything else going on"
And then the whole disrespecting the given pronouns, because appearently when you don't like a character's gender that no longer matters. And if you have decide to headcanon Ribbit as trans just to make sure your mlm ship can still exist, then that is terrible transgender representation quite frankly. And who knows, maybe they are trans but mtf, and in that case this all still goes by the way.
And this doesn't even take away from your possibility to headcanon Jax as gay if you want, because as mentioned before we don't know enough about their relation to draw any conclusions on any romantic aspect.
the gang's all here
I just saw comments saying how cruel and coldhearted the left is for being joyful over Kirk's death. I just think it's funny that the people saying this are the same ones who were happy at the idea of feeding immigrants to gators. They only care if it's one of them.
I will also add: 'Nobody should be killed for their beliefs' (same people in tiktok lives hoping protesters get shot)
Watched Superman today :) My first time seeing a DC movie in theatre bc I usually watch Marvel.
-yknow I realized 2025 has a reoccurring theme...bc we got Captain America: Brave New World, Sunrise on the Reaping, Sinners, and Superman. All of them pick apart the current system and the system that hasn't changed since it began. They're perfect for 2025.
-Man, I was crying since it started. Like his backstory is common knowledge at this point, but...idk this time felt different. Just the thought that his parents sent him somewhere to live and have an opportunity to make something of himself. And he did.
-Krypto had me stressing the whole movie. Was hoping they wouldn't hurt him! Also, we got a Supergirl cameo, AND she's played by young Rhaenyra Targaryen?? Love it! Can't wait to see what they do with her bc so far, they got her character pretty accurate.
-Love how Superman paid more attention to saving people than fighting the villains. I actually heard someone say "Superman is a firefighter not a cop" and it stuck with me bc they're right. He kept that baby above material that could basically disintegrate him, while fighting people off. He even saved a squirrel from getting trampled. He wept for a guy that sold him food once and got shot just for having spoken to him. His heart's so big I legit cried when they were being mean to him. He adores earth and humanity so much. And no matter if they turned against him, he still wanted to protect.
-Lois actually having her bite back and being supportive of Clark ❤️. Thankful they gave her a role in helping save the day.
-I hope they put Mr. Terrific in more projects! Pretty solid character introduction. Plus, that scene of him fighting by himself reminded me of that scene where Yondu kills the ravagers.
-Lex was a goddamn HATER to the highest degree omg...kinda why I like this iteration because they truly made him evil
-yo the pocket dimension thing reminded me of when Trump was (still is) deported people to that El Salvador prison. Or dropping people midair. Or creating Aligator Alcatraz. And the fact that it's implied some of those people in that pocket dimension prison didn't really commit crimes, they did small things. And look, now you can get detained by ice for even looking a certain way. Lex Luthor gave off Trump vibes when he was like "the government gave me permission to" or "I created this conflict for the excuse to kill you" because it's exactly what he does. And Lex had the audacity to cry when he had to face the consequences...like a certain someone.
-Jimmy did that girl so wrong, she was so sweet...annoying yeah, but very sweet, a weekend can't have hurt that bad! (Just don't look at her feet if you think she has mutated toes) idk I just feel bad bc girl was being hurt in her relationship with Lex and the only person that gave her somewhat nice attention was Jimmy and he just used her.
-...was that clone supposed to be Conner Kent?? Or like...a prototype? Like, is Lex actually gonna make another clone that's Conner? Or maybe he was supposed to be like Bizzaro Superman?
-I will say sometimes the camera angles looked a bit funny. But overall an enjoyable film.
To be honest, Superman is what we should strive to be. It's horrible that being kind and empathetic has been viewed as weakness. Fox News hates this movie because it's 'too woke' but...I just think it's because deep down they know they're Lex Luthor. They know they're the villain in the story, but instead of working to change it and be better... they have to put something down to raise themselves higher. Pride and Greed are so common now and it's what's screwing us all over.
Any negative thoughts I have on Trump's behaviour/personality aside, has anyone else felt uneasy looking at him? Like his face is wrong, not exactly because he's old, but his eyes freak me out like some kind of uncanny valley thing.
Given the current circumstances, Hamilton's King George iii is cackling rn
Hey Misha posted his number in case you wanna talk with him about the protests and ICE.
Last night, I watched the protest in LA on several different lives. I've never been to one nor seen one before. That shit was horrifying. I saw the protesters staying peaceful the whole time. It was the cops and reinforcements gassing people, sending fireworks, and shooting people with rubber bullets. There were many accounts of the bullets leaving dents. Yes, I remember seeing looting, but they shut that down real fast. Unfortunately, some people will do dumb shit that makes us all look bad. And I bet Fox will eat that up. I think I stopped watching around 2am.
Officers and soldiers should be loyal to the constitution and its people first before anything else. They're meant to protect us. Yet all I saw was the government attacking it's own civilians. See, if the United States actually has 'freedom of speech and freedom to protest' then why are we met with guns and gas when we are being peaceful?
And being peaceful can only last so long when violence is used against you. If someone repeatedly kicks you, will you kick back or let them keep doing it? As Americans, we have to protect our rights and defend those who can't defend themselves. If America wants to be great, we have to choose to be better. And understand that the country has never been great...because of division. We have to gain our empathy back, as our truest enemy is being heartless. America as a country was meant to be a melting pot. It was founded by immigrants. (Stolen from the Natives tho, let's not forget that ever)
Btw those are some screenshots I got from last night.
And here's what the orange mamabicho had to say about it.
I might be alone on this, but Bob felt more like their little brother than anything worth shipping. Ain't nothing wrong with found family.
So I've seen the idea of a Zombie themed Hunger Games so imma expand on that bc I sorta had an idea similar to it prior:
'Obediance preserves dignity, rebellion creates monsters.'
1)All dead tributes are reanimated corpses programmed to kill any tributes they're able to catch. These dead tributes look as human as they possibly can. They Capitol made sure not to miss a single detail of how each tribute looked while alive.
2)If a tribute of this game is killed by another tribute, they're taken on a hovercraft and are allowed proper burial. But if they're killed by one of the zombie mutts? They'll become one themselves...just less humanlike and more wolfish. (if killed by a game trap they still become a mutt...you seriously think they'd give you the easy way out? No, they want bloodshed)
3)The scenario I imagined was a career girl (District 1) went into the hunger games with her boyfriend. He was killed early on in the games tho by a Zombie. Near the end? Maybe down to the last 3 tributes is where she finally comes in contact with his mutated form. He's supposed to kill her. He doesn't because he still remembers her and that he loved her. He's confused what's going on and just lays his head on her lap because it feels safe. Then he's shot in the head while his lover looks down at him in shock.
4)The girl makes it to the final two. But instead of a fair 1 on 1, they have to fight off the large amount of dead tributes. The only way to stop them is to kill the final tribute. To her luck, the other tribute hands her the knife and asks for a quick death because they'd like to die with dignity. "If you kill me, I'll stay myself."
5) So the girl became the Victor of her games. She gets to live...but the capitol knows the other tribute willingly chose to be killed. The Games are meant to strip people of their humanity. They knew she killed that tribute as a kindness, not out of desire to win. Not to mention the whole scene with her boyfriend. It wasn't exactly her fault he disobeyed...but they knew that clip would have to be deleted from the footage. It was again, too human for their tastes.
6)I like to think this specific Game is why the Capitol stopped using corpses. They started using only lab grown mutts instead. You can't tell me the Capitol doesn't have everyone's genetic data on file.
7)That girl is mostly forgotten bc her tapes aren't as accessible anymore. She's blacklisted. She doesn't get the Finnick treatment luckily, and it's not like she had family to begin with. Girl was orphaned prior to the games. People actually bet on her death the most bc she had nobody to get home to. She goes crazy, reasonably so bc anybody would be traumatized... She prolly hallucinates that her boyfriend is alive and living with her. She's alone in Victor's Village and doesn't survive Victor's Purge.
Extra:
1) Rain is acidic...the arena is an abandoned hospital/research facility. There's holes in the roof at random. Luckily, it only rains on every odd day. So hurry up and get to murdering each other and less chance of dying by acid.
2) Missing floorboards. Easy to get caught or tripped, especially if being chased.
3) Hide in the wrong room? Gas chambers.
4)The mutts/zombies only come out one hour a day.
5) Thanks to Ai, you'll hear the dead tributes voices down the halls. Their voices can lure you to your death with ease. Imagine how many current tributes knew the dead ones? (Yo, imagine that's something the interviews help with. Bc they'd need clips of your voice to do this.)
6) The doors are open. But little do the tributes know if they even step a foot outside, a guillotine type of thing comes down to slice whatever where the door should be. So...there's definitely at least one or two tributes that got sliced in half or had to go through the games missing part of their foot.
7)The goal here is to create an environment so awful that the tributes have no choice but to start killing. And btw, the cornucopia is on top of the roof. They must either press the button beneath them to drop then into the building or try their best to grab supplies first and risk immediate death. But it's recommended you get supplies bc yknow an acid proof jacket or umbrella would be useful. Silver bullets would be appreciated. You get the gist. Once everyone's inside it starts to acid rain so they take cover.
Oh and SOtR spoilers but...it'd be interesting if this game was after Haymitch's. Because you know damn well he'd see: Louella, Lou Lou, Maysilee, Wellie, Ampert, and Wyatt. Oh and Beetee gets to see his son too. I think Snow would enjoy this game bc he gets to torture them even more.
This was just me adding on. Have a nice day :)
Let's start this Pride Month with a traditional meme:
[Image ID: The Destiel confession meme edited so that Dean answers 'I ain't quitting you...' to Cas' 'I love you'. The image is overlayed with a rainbow filter. /End ID]

Any tips on caring for kittens? Haven't had a cat since forever...
Also, what kinda cat is he? His parents were pretty big, but not like mainecoon big.
Sleepy boi 🖤
Yknow what? Now I see it.
They were doing so good with the casting, but why are Lou Lou/Louella little white girls? Lou Lou is literally from district 11, which are mostly black people. I thought they were gonna pull a 'Rue reminds me of my sister Prim' kinda thing. No hate to the little girls bc it's not their fault, but I'm disappointed the characters got whitewashed. Haymitch, I understood, tho bc Woody Harrelson is white.
Edit: To be perfectly clear, if yall bring up Lenore Dove, let's be real...yall only thought she'd be white bc 'a hint of red'. A hint of red don't mean red hair or ginger, and even those don't always point to a white person. Now with Louella, if her decoy is literally from district 11, it points to her at the very least having tan or dark skin. It's not a racism issue here. It's not me hating on white people. I'm literally pulling from the actual book.
Haymitch in Plutarch’s library: omg he’s gonna kill me
