My story.
Call me Corky. I'm an adult (25!) with the propensity to act like a little kid. I tend to like a lot of things other people hate. When I start to like a book/movie/tv series, I go through obsessive phases. I probably own a piece of merchandise from every thing I've ever obsessed over. I am a multi-fandom queen. Not a queen, a khaleesi. I fancy myself a writer. One day I'll write something meaningful. I sing dramatically in my car and I don't care who sees me. I named my cat after Misha Collins.
Things that make me happy: Taylor Swift and her endless generosity and no fear of being herself even when people don't like it + Demi Lovato and her constant strength and not letting her demons consume her + Renee Yohe and her story, which is helping me write mine and who was so very sweet to me when I met her + Paramore who always knew what I was trying to say before I knew myself + To Write Love on Her Arms + Love is Louder + books + coffee + warm-fresh-from-the-oven cookies + Netflixin' my life away + dancing in a storm in my best dress, fearless + good ol' fashioned Southern hospitality + sweet tea + creativity + cleverness + equality + acceptance.
Fandoms AKA Things I'm Obsessed With Currently: Supernatural, Castle, Arrow, The Flash, Pretty Little Liars, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, Gotham, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Teen Wolf, basically all the Marvel movies, High School Musical (I feel your judgement from here), Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Pirates of the Caribbean. ...There are and will always be more but at the moment it's mostly these.

So we're all aware of the running joke that Izuku does not remember the iconic river scene,
This one right here. The one that Katsuki is constantly referring back to as "the moment where it all went wrong" and being all dramatic about. His core memory of Izuku being a hero.
But I raise you this... Katsuki does not remember this scene,
This is the scene where a young Katsuki has just finished winning a fight against some older kids that were being bullies.
The scene that is Izuku flashes back to when thinking about Katsuki's heroic nature.
Because Katsuki does not remember a time when he stood up to Bullies instead of being one.
The entire plot of MHA hinges on the question โwhat makes a hero, a hero?โ. There isnโt a single plot point that doesnโt tie directly back to that question. And itโs completely, perfectly bookended by Izukuโs version of the question: โCan I be a hero without a quirk?โ
The fact that this question is answered both times by Katsuki, and the answer goes from โquirkless=uselessโ to โnot only CAN you be a hero, you ARE a hero, and Iโm gonna personally make sure you get to be for the rest of our livesโ IS INSANE
