This is going to sound so weird but recently I went to our chickens after a long time of not seeing them and i had forgotten how majestic grown up male chickens are. They are like twice the size of normal chickens and their feathers give off a purple and greenish glow in the sunshine. They look so well-made if that makes sense.

Changes in this part of the brain were previously used to previously used to argue that women are the ideal primary caretakers of children in all cases. And apparently, it’s false. The reason they found these changes in women was that women were already the primary caretaker in almost all cases, not because there’s something inherent to women that makes them better parents.
This is also big news for adoptive parents and queer couples! Many people try to argue that adoptive parents aren't real parents because of biology and blah blah blah. Bigots will also argue this case against queer people. So, to all my traditionalists: it's not science! It's bigotry and sexist!
This is why paid parental leave for all parents regardless of gender is so crucial. All parents need and deserve time to bond with their children. When only one parent is given parental leave, that parent is naturally going to have more time to develop a bond to that child than the parent who immediately goes back to work. This will, inevitably, create a lifelong imbalance in who does most, or all, of the childcare. Equal paid parental leave regardless of gender benefits all parents and all children.
When my mother forgets a word, she is the queen of coming up with new words. Words that would take a third National Treasure movie to fully decipher. I was talking to her yesterday, and she said this: “You know the time for los jibbities is coming up. You must be so excited!” Oh, is it time for los jibbities already? I must have missed it on my calendar. Are we celebrating something? “Of course! We should all be celebrating, shouldn’t we?” OK, so los jibbities is a happy thing. It’s not like something is giving you the heebie-jeebies, which would have been my one and only guess. “Los heebie-jeebies? Now you’re making things up...and this is my show.” You’re right. The time for los jibbities is coming up. Is this a season? “Yes, the season for love. The season for pride.” OK, los jibbities. “Yeah, sound it out.” Los…jibbities. LGBTs! “Sí, mira cuz you’re gay!” “You couldn’t just say pride season? You couldn’t just… *laughs*
I have zero doubt in my mind that TDL likely would've intentionally killed Chosen if Chosen still had his name/powers, entirely to revive him under his control. He's already demonstrated he had no issue doing so with Vic, and he seems to be treating mind controlled Vic as his sort of right hand man pawn entirely because Vic's H4CK3R powers are so powerful.
Now think of how horrible the situation would be if Chosen was killed and mind controlled.
Dark values power, he always has, that's the entire reason his Virabands gave him more abilities. He's as powerhungry as he is bloodthirsty and cruel.
Dark would not have wasted a single second to kill The Chosen One to have access his powers, and also likely as payback for the Showdown fight. Two birds, one stone.
But Dark saw Victim rename Chosen to No One, very explicitly. His camera was on that cliff at that exact moment. Chosen doesn't have any powers that Dark would be interested in hijacking anymore.
So in TDL's eyes, Chosen is pretty much useless to him now, aside from the potential grudge he has against him. TDL would probably still kill Chosen if he found him in that cell, but TDL doesn't get that strong of a pawn out of it. Pretty much just one more body.
This could explain why TDL didn't target Chosen during the massacre; powerless, Chosen just wasn't worth the effort, yet. Or TDL was so confident in his victory he didn't feel he needed to, potentially even opting to save Chosen for last. TDL also likes to rub things in people's faces, and he knows his victory would bother Chosen.
In dehumanizing Chosen in such an awful way, Victim might've accidentally saved Chosen from being killed and mind controlled, and everyone else from the destruction that a TDL-controlled Chosen One could've wrought.
I'm actually very sad they're not doing Actual Shorts anymore, because I just realized we won't be getting The Machine From the Street, in which we would see Corn Dog Guy's nonreaction to a literal nuke going off in the distance.
