funny thing about anxiety is sometimes it kind of breaks your sense of danger. like i am known for repeatedly putting myself in situations that make my friends go "bro you couldve died. werent you scared?" and the answer is 👍 yjeah. i did it scared. i do everything scared. i didnt know that was the actual important kind of scary because i usually have to ignore my fears to function in society. it will happen again. watch out.

the piece he’s playing as i said at the top is reverie by composer claude debussy NOW BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING YES I KNOW THIS SONG WAS COMPOSED IN 1890. so genuinely RIGHT as the race is happening. but lets imagine, for the sake of me really really wanting johnny to play this song, that it actually came to england in like 1877 when he started taking his rich kid lessons. please. for me 💔 i kinda wrote it into the comic but its one of my favorite pieces of music ever…tho i do not play piano so apologies if the piano playing panels look inaccurate.

Actually on the topic of artfight can I say that I find it really weird how more and more people have started to act like it's this super high-pressure event and i really don't understand why. Like the memes about burnout or needing to prepare references months in advance have always been a thing but in recent years they feel less like jokes made out of solidarity and more like an expectation even though they aren't and they really shouldn't be. And then there's all the countless tiktoks and reels and youtube videos centered specifically around artfight about how to draw Better and Faster and how to get the most points possible so your team can win and how to ensure that you get the most attacks back and how to design the perfect most universally appealing eye-catching characters and write the perfect character bios etc etc etc and it's just like. This is a yearly, month-long competition where we draw each others self-indulgent ocs for no reward other than a virtual badge that doesn't matter in any other context and because it's fun. Did we all forget that

Also be unapologetically disabled with mobility aids and wearable medical devices and stim toys and ear defenders and all that stuff. You need it. People need to see it. Everyone needs to be reminded that life is unquestioningly more enjoyable when you're not living inside an arbitrary set of rules created by people who are offended by all the wrong things.
